   Exactly as described. I wanted a Cuisinart coffee maker to replace the one I have used daily since 2001 … obviously it did not owe me anything and it always made a great pot of coffee … it just died after all these years. This is a definite major upgrade. The instructions were very clear and setting it up was a snap. Some people have said they spill water in filling the machine … I have 2 options for that (the opening is just the perfect size) I either pour from the plastic gallon jug with distilled water or I use a container with a spout that holds the water amount needed … I have not spilled even a drop. I especially like the water gage on the side of the machine and BEST OF ALL there is NO stainless steal for most of the body of this machine like my older one had … I had major issues with the steel surface trying to keep it clean and free of finger prints. The cord is a good length … I cannot think of a thing I would change. Looking forward to another decade of use!

   We had a previous Cuisinart like this that lasted pretty well. Loved the programming feature. It eventually stopped keeping the carafe warm so we needed a new one. This one did work great but started to get rusting on the base where the pot sits. First a little within the first 5 months…now it’s a lot. So much that I wonder when it will corrode to the point of failing or being dangerous. Has anyone else experienced this? Never happened on our previous one or the Krups we had before that. Unless I know this can’t happen again I’ll be replacing it with another brand.

   I thought by shelling out considerably more for a what I thought was a quality brand that I would get a unit that lasted. I bought this in October in 2016. The heat plate showed signs of starting to deteriorate after about a year but then rapidly declined after that where now it has rusted pretty badly. We had the same problem with a couple of cheaper brands and had to replace every 2-3 years. We took extra care to dry the pot off after use too. Funny thing is my mother in law has a very old drip coffee maker with a shiny heat plate that has lasted >25 years. So these manufacturers know how to do this right but just choose not to. They make the product last as long as the warranty period. One of these manufacturers should put a stake in the ground, design it right, say they have done it (finally) and they will sell a lot of units. We will not buy another Cuisinart until they have solved this problem…..

   My old Cuisinart 12 cup stainless steel coffeemaker died and I really wanted another by Cuisinart. This model is an upgrade from the other one, I love the stainless steel and black design and it matches my stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, and stove very well. The coffeemaker brews a great cup of coffee, has a choice of bold or regular brewing, and you can adjust the carafe warmer temperature. This upgraded model has fixed the problem of the carafe pouring backward all over the place when pouring and pours accurately into the cup. The water tank has a visible line on the side to view water level that the other one did not have. Easily programmable for timed brewing for the person who likes their coffee the minute they stumble from their bed. Everyone who loves coffee should own one!

   Great Price! Bought this to replace a more expensive Cuisinart brewer that worked well for nearly 10 years before the electronic control went Kaput. This one is noiser for sure, thus the 4 stars only. It gurgles and clunks away in a disturbing way as it brews.
   However, the price was right and it brews good coffee. For now. The short 3 month warrantee is a bit of a concern though.

   Bought this to replace a prior version of this – also a Cuisinart 14 cup. Works well, but the heater plate is very poor quality. The paint flaked off and it’s all rusty. And it’s not yet 5 months old. I just got off the phone with Cuisinart customer support. They will replace the unit, but I have to pay for shipping ($10) and will also have to pay to send back the power cord from the defective one. That’ll probably cost me $5 or so… So their defective product will cost me $15 to replace. And if this one fails in another 5 months?? Here’s an update, Jan 23, 2018 . I got the replacement. Identical except for the buttons. I had to cut off the cord and ship the cord back to Cuisinart. I have attached a pic of the brand new one after one pot of coffee – nice and shiny. Also attached a pic of the only five month old warming plate – a disgusting rusty mess. Three year warranty. I have until mid-August 2020. If this replacement looks as bad as this at some time in the future, I’ll order up another one. All they had to do was use a better coating than whatever weak paint they used on this. Dumb, dumb, dumb. UPDATE December 2018: So my first one went only a couple months before the warming plate was an ugly rusting mess. The replacement lasted longer. It’s almost a year now. It’s not nearly as bad as the rusty photo above, but it’s accelerating now that it started to rust. I’m guessing that this one will take 18 months to look as cr@__y as the first one did after 3 or 4 months. But still inexcusable that it should end up looking like this. That plate is a very simple metal plate. I would very highly suggest that Cuisinart start using stainless steel. Forget the paint. UPDATE April 2019: I took apart the old one – now without a power cord. I sanded the plate. Tried several different paints – grill paint… exhaust header paint… ceramic POR15… nothing worked very well. The last paint was the ‘high temp’ paint. That worked OK for a while, but quickly started coming off and sticking to the bottom of the carafe. Then I was seasoning my cast iron pans one day and it occurred to me that the same approach might help with this thing. I coated the plate with the same oil that I use on the cast iron pans and then turned the coffee pot on with no carafe. It cooled and sealed. I do this every few weeks now. Keeps the rust down, and seems to stop the paint from coming off onto the carafe. UPDATE Jan 2020 I have been ‘seasoning’ the warming plate, trying various oils – grapeseed; olive; canola; PAM (spray can – I think it’s canola). PAM seems to work the best. It’s been weeks and it’s still nice and smooth, not sticky, not glaring brown rust, and the ‘burning oil’ smell didn’t last too long. I wish they’d used stainless steel on this plate.

   Excellent product, works exactly as designed and is good quality. What wasn’t in the product description is that it comes with your first charcoal water filer, several No.4 paper filters if you need them, and the gold tone mesh removable filter basket that some use without filter papers, then all you need to do is rinse after use. The only fault I have with Cuisinart machines is that their digital displays aren’t very clear when viewed from the normal viewing angle – above. They’re great at eye level however.
   Great product, I recommend it. Also this merchant sent it in an amazingly short time.

   This is by far THE best coffee maker I’ve ever owned! The coffee it produces is among the best coffee I’ve ever had. We use the ‘Bold’ setting and the flavor of the coffee is simply delicious. I don’t understand ANY of the criticisms levied on this coffee maker, as I simply can’t find fault with it. I don’t mind at all that I have to remove the lid from the pot. In fact, I find that to be a GOOD feature; it makes it easier to clean and the lid doesn’t get in the way when I’m either filling the pot or pouring it into the coffee maker.

   For ME and my way better half, it’s all about the TASTE of the coffee that a coffee maker produces that’s THE most important thing. In the case of this Cuisinart coffee maker, it produces THE best tasting coffee we’ve ever made in our home. I’d give it TEN stars if I could. HIGHLY recommended!

    After being dissatisfied with my HB Flex Brew due to very weak coffee (had to use double coffee). I finally bought this. So far, it’s doing a better job. Even though I’m buying French Roast or (whatever is the darkest I can find) I still have to use extra coffee for it not to taste weak. Maybe it’s just me because this seems to be a problem unless I get my coffee from Starbucks, but I’m not about to do that every day. People keep telling me I need to grind my own beans and buy a French Press. It sounds like too much work, but maybe it’s the only way.
    Anyway, this coffee maker seems nice. It does seem like I can’t get all the liquid out of the pot, but it’s not a deal-breaker. Easy to operate, looks nice on the counter. I like the beep to tell me it’s finished.

    Very nice coffee maker. I had an older model that I liked very much except the lid over the water reservoir would collect condensate and when lifted, would flow down the back of the machine. The lid on this coffee maker is flat and there is a small catch ledge that is angled to run the condensate back into the reservoir vastly reducing the mess.

    The coffee maker comes with a gold filter which is fine, but I find it too small and the coffee over flows making a similar mess as paper filters. Also, the grounds make their way into the carafe. I don’t really see the point so I went back to my paper filters and will save the gold filter for when I need it.

    It has all the usual buttons which I don’t use and it’s easily programmed.

    The only nit is that the screen is awfully bright and I wish I could dim it.

    Love the ease of use, looks, capacity and most of all, the coffee tastes great. Didn’t want to spend the extra $20 for all stainless, so this is black on the sides. Fits under cabinet. Water sprayhead is VERY large and I think that makes a difference. So far so good, very happy!

    This a nice coffeemaker but this company will send you the wrong one and then say they can’t get this one anymore but now they are selling it again on here. I finally got ‘this coffeemaker somewhere else and it works great and makes a great great cup of coffee, but do not but it from this company!
