Im really disappointed in the quality of this product. I maintained it as per the manual, clean the grinder regularly, changed the filter every 3 months.
Yet, after 1 year, as Im writting this review, the water is now coming from under the unit and it also gets very hot. I replaced the filter, tried to clean every little hole and yet it did it again. Cannot use it anymore. 1 year is not acceptable for this level of quality. It also dropped in price by 65% in 1 year..
That being said, I contacted Cuisinart and they replaced the unit. Customer service was quick and efficient. Hopefully my previous unit was a defective one and not the standard.

This coffee maker makes a wonderful coffee with either the Keurig type pods or the included coffee bean grinder. I gave it a four star because the water reservoir should have been much bigger. If you use it often and use a big mug, you will have to re-fill it often. That is the only problem.

I took my time to test this coffee machine. On the positive, I have to say it is really easy to use and clean. However, I have not enjoyed an aromatic morning coffee, and the taste is not that great either. Before this one, I had an automatic expresso Krups that was just perfect. Unfortunately, I can’t buy it in Canada. Although I am not an expert in how machines work, I think the grinder and the brew system are the problem. The grinder is not fine, and the water is not hot enough and brews the coffee very fast. In addition, the mesh filters are not helping. It tastes better when I use commercial Kerug coffee pots. Overall, it is ok to have a coffee in the morning, but definitely, I have to look for an expresso machine if I want to enjoy my morning coffee.

This unit comes in about $100 less than the other brands on the market and I am really impressed with it’s performance. Its easy to set up and use – this unit has a clean button which I really like. The grinder is really powerful and in the end, it makes really good coffee. I’m very happy with my purchase.
