   good sub $40 coffee maker. the coffee pot carafe is nice. the warming burner shuts off almost too soon, but the coffee stays fairly hot for a while. it says 8 cups but its really 3 1/2 (12oz) Mugs! – who really drinks 5oz. cups? pouring fresh water into to back of the unit with the coffee pot is a challenge. the included coffee filter basket is easy to clean. 2 brew settings, normal and strong.

   I bought this primarily for the thermal carafe, which did not keep the coffee warm for long. Coffee was room temp within an hour (just like with a glass carafe). Coffee is very bitter, even when it’s made using the regular setting. The spout on the carafe was tricky. Overall not happy with this product.

   The good. My wife loves this coffee maker, she’s the only coffee drinker. Perfect size, the carafe does keep it warm longer, brews perfect. The bad, we’ve had one for over a year, then it died, bummer. Bought another one, gotta love coffeemakers.us.com, was only without one for 2 days. Most people would complain because it only lasted a little over a year. For the price, I can live with it. I just hope it’s still available if this one dies down the road. Happy wife, happy life!

   It’s interesting that the name (“Sboly”) has been removed from the product picture and title – magic? I was a very nice little thermal pot (no hot plate to burn the coffee), but the pump stopped working this morning after only 6 months of service. Junk.

   The carafe is a terrible design as is the ability to put water in it. The diameter of the carafe is way to large at the top to be able to pour a full 8 cups of water in to the tank. The carafe hits the hot water diffuser before you can empty it into the tank. You have to ad a second amount of water to get the full 8 cups. Very frustrating.

   I purchased 5 coffee makers for my rental cabins, All but 1 (so far) have had to be replaced within a matter of months. The company has sent me 3 new ones after I sent a video per their request, showing the machine not brewing. Two of the three replacements have stopped working. I literally have a shelf-full of nonoperative coffee makers in my garage. The brand is Sboly. When I click on the item from my coffeemakers.us.com order history, it says Sorry we couldn’t find that page. Interesting that the image of this coffee maker no longer has the Sboly brand on the front, and the compamy is now just called Boly. Don’t waste your time or money. Spend $100 and get a Bunn. It brews a pot in minutes and lasts longer than a few months. It’s the brand most office buildings use. UPDATE – another one that they warrantied for me just bit the dust. Seriously, I can see a defective unit happening, but half a dozen?

   Brews one pot then, shuts off. Warmer doesn’t function. Was a delicious hot cup of ONE CUP COFFEE, Then starts cooling down.

    Makes a very good, steaming hot, cup of coffee that is still drinkably warm after more than 2 hours.
    Easy to clean. Works as well for left-handers as right. Packing is arranged to be adequate with minimal waste. Takes up minimal space, and still has an 8-cup capacity. I’m very pleased with this purchase and consider it a bargain.
