Received as a gift. Having basic idea of how coffee makers work, I was able to figure it out quickly. The only issue I had was learning to loosen up the drip mechanism in the top chamber.I find putting ice in the top isn’t necessary.
Get a light roast bean, coarse ground and you get the smoothest tasting (and incredibly strong!) coffee.

Very effective and non-odiferous

I love these. They were out of stock for quite awhile. The tiny white filters seem kind of useless, if you’re already using filtered water, though. I took off a star because of no good instructions. I use a coarse grind. They need to say what kind of grind. I bought some metal round filters. I make it, pour it in glass bottles that used to have a Whole Foods cold brew in it and stick it in the refrigerator. In the a.m. I mix it with water and heat it up to below boiling. I like hot coffee, but the advantages of low acidity.
