   I should have listened to the review that said the inside starting rusting soon after purchase. I prepared tea in this a SINGLE time after it was delivered today and pieces of the large metal component that surrounds the filter stand is flaking off. Poor build quality and deceptive marketing saying that this item has a “stainless steel interior and exterior”. I will be returning this poorly built product and reporting the item description for incorrect product information.

   I purchased this during the pandemic to reduce my warehouse crew touching the dispenser lever with their hands. About 3 months in I started noticing a super dark coffee leaking from the seam where the aluminum and plastic housing made contact and never really though much of it until last month when the power button stopped working and stayed on with the light on even after being set to the off position. Im a year past any sort of warranty, so I ended up opening it and was met with a horrible sight, the gasket was not installed properly causing coffee to leak into plastic housing that also contains all of the electric bits and this caused the power button to short out and melt the contacts points in place not allowing it to be turned off. Instead of throwing it out, i ended up replacing the power button with one i found on coffeemakers.us.com and waterproofed it with liquid electrical tape and with a 40mm socket and plumbing wrench i was able to remove heating element and DIY a new gasket with a water safe high temp gasket maker sheet.

    Bought this to heat water for cocoa for my Highschool students and coffee for meetings. Usually groups are about 30 people so I wanted only one pot to heat for efficiency sake. It looked small so we checked to see how much water it held. It actually only holds 20 cups of water to its fill line. If you put 30 in as advertised, it goes to the brim and that’s without even having the filter or the weight of coffee in there plus you wouldn’t be able move it without spilling and it wouldn’t have room to boil. It leaks from the handles if you do fill it over the “30 cup” line. If I made only 20 cups then I’d have to have multiple urns and that’s what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Thank goodness we checked before using it. The last thing I need is the possibility of a burn or fire in our library. Terrible product. I’d remove it from coffeemakers.us.com before someone gets hurt.

    I debated between 4 and 5 stars. We use this as an urn to keep water hot on Saturday’s (Shabbos). It has not been leaking and has been keeping the water hot. That being said, my wife likes the water super super hot and you can’t get that with this model, hence why I had to give it 4 vs 5 stars. To provide comparisons, the water is much hotter than the Hamilton beach urn that is very popular but not as hot as the magic mill urn. The price was awesome. We will get another urn and keep this as a backup for events when we have a lot of people at them (if quarantine ever ends)

Le 3e s est egalement arrete de fonctionner apres 1an egalement par contre j ai pris l assurance pour couvrir ce produit. Apres avoir fait une reclamation a mon assurance, celle-ci me demander de contacter Gourmet Elite pour savoir si elle me proposait un remboursement ou un echange. Ayant contacte Gourmet Elite, je recois un email me disant qu elle ne pouvait rien faire pour moi et que je devais contacter coffeemakers.us.com, ce que j avais fait, mais coffeemakers.us.com m a demande de contacter egalement Gourmet Elite. Je trouve etrange que ces urnes apres un an s arretent brusquement de fonctionner. Le service de Elite gourmet vis a vis de ses clients est froid et d apres le email recu, ils ne m ont meme pas offert de remplacer ou de verifier pourquoi cette urne ne fonctionnait plus. J ai donne 3 chances a cette compagnie et c est la derniere fois que je ferai affaire avec elle.

    This is not 100% stainless steel. Even after contacting the company with pictures of the pot with corrosion and rust, they said it was my water (tho I use a Berkey). They haven’t responded to my rust pictures yet… This is only used for hot water to make tea and the like for our church fellowship time. DO NOT BUY!

    We’ve had this type of coffee pot for years, Hamilton Beach brand. Thought I’d try a “new” one. This thing was a nightmare! It had a pin hole on the lid, I assume for steam release, well it spewed coffee all over my wall. Then it would leak all down the side! I tried no filter, with a filter, pre-ground coffee from a can, beans ground fresh and course at the store. Nothing made a difference, it all made a mess. I had to return it and go back and buy the old faithful HB brand again.

    This was continuously described as being a 30 CUP CAPACITY urn. It is not. It is small and I measured it to check it’s real capacity. It was 19 1/2 cups to fill it to the falsely imprinted 30 cup max mark on the inside. I had no time to replace before my party so I just had to make more batches. It makes me mad that they lie not only in the description, but to print a 30 cup mark in the metal of the interior. I’m surprised no one else has mentioned this in the reviews.

    One of the deciding factors in my purchasing this brand was the coffee level window that is in the description. There isn’t one. Very disappointing. It’s attractive and fits on my counter nicely. It boils water quickly, and keeps it quite hot. I had to place the urn on a trivet to elevate it about 1/2” so my average size coffee mugs would fit under the spigot without tilting. I don’t know anyone who uses a short, small coffee cup at home. What’s the point? The other issue is that the description states it has a reusable plastic basket filter (it does), but the filter type in specs and details states the material is paper. So at least two features were misrepresented in the description. This is a percolator, be advised regular auto drip fine ground coffee, or espresso will not be contained in the plastic filter basket. My solution is to use a large cotton muslin cold brew/tea bag inside the plastic basket. I mean large enough to hold 1-2 cups of grounds or more. Lastly, it was covered with fingerprints and a few scratches right out of the box, so… also very disappointing. The outer packaging was not damaged. Hoping I have no issues, as some reviews state horrible customer service. I will update this review if anything goes wrong.

    It is a nice size for our coffee club. One problem is the small hole in the lid that allows steam to escape.
    It also spits out some coffee which goes everywhere making a mess on the counter. We put a piece of paper towel over it & it has helped to eliminate the problem!
