   Worked well until it did not. A quick connect 90 split and would not build pressure and leaked everywhere. Wrote ilavie with all the info there form asked for. I have never received any type of response from them. It’s has been month now. And it’s within the one year warranty. Convinced coffeemakers.us.com to take it back but I’m being charged with restocking fee. I cannot find any replacement parts online.

   This machine worked beautifully and made delicious espresso, but only for a little over 2 months. It started beeping once powered to indicate an issue of some kind, leaked from around the porta filter, and streamed rather than steaming water. I cleaned all coffee grounds multiple times to no avail. Now, IF I can manage to get it to respond to any of the 3 buttons, it spews water from every crevice and behind/under the machine making a giant mess. Something is clearly wrong with the pump or other internal parts. I used a $50 very manual Capresso for years before getting a small drip of a leak…this is really unacceptable from a brand new machine from Ilavie. I’ve e-mailed the service contact I received with the manual to request a refund. I’ll update this post if I hear anything back. Highly disappointed in this and hoping I didn’t waste $100 on a messy paperweight if the company won’t accept responsibility. Anyone reading this should look elsewhere for a quality espresso machine because this ISN’T one.

   Unfortunately, this espresso machine didn’t meet my needs. I wake up early to make coffee, but the machine was so loud that it would wake up my husband with its growling and vibrating noises. While it did brew coffee and function as promised, the noise level was just too disruptive for my household. This is why I am giving a 4 star rating.

   For an inexpensive machine, it makes good espresso. But water leaks every time you fill it. No water level light. Steam is finicky.

   I have had one of these for over a year. I really like it but the O rings on the steamer arm wore out and I can’t find any that seal it properly. Since I like it so much I ordered another one. When I got it, it wouldn’t pump water so I sent it back and got this one. This one also doesn’t pump water. Sending it back.

    This is the second espresso machine I’ve owned – the first being a major brand – so I have that baseline of comparison. Operation is straight forward so worries for the new initiates. Do get some good quality coffee with the right grind and use the included tamper to be sure the coffee is well compacted. Like computer programming says: garbage in – garbage out. So the better the coffer the better your brew. Turning the power on gets you brew-ready within 30 seconds. This machine boasts a higher bar pressure (20) yet the finished cake (what’s left when you’re done,) always has additional water on the top and is not completely solid when knocked out. Last machine I had did not do that – not sure why the difference. Nevertheless, a good cup of espresso. Steamer works as it should – if your new to doing that, find a vid to watch as there is a real art to getting the right level of foam and then lay it on top of your brew. I like the clear and removable water reservoir – easy to see if I need more water and then fill it without needing to move the machine or find another picture. The footprint of the machine is very slender and looks great in our kitchen when lined up with our other stainless and black mix of appliances.
