   I would have loved the top to have been stainless steel rather than plastic, but it functions well. Remember.. course grind, not fine ground coffee is required.

   This is the first French press I have used and I have to say that I am impressed by how easy it is to use and by the quality of coffee it produces. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, and comes with two extra screens that can replace the original ones when they wear out. The frame as well as the plunger and lid are made of non-corrosive 304 stainless steel, so this should last a long time. The glass is borosilicate, so it is heat resistant. In the instructions it says to add hot water not boiling to the beaker. The optimal temperature for brewing a good cup of coffee in this French press is around 195 degrees, at least that is what I have found works well. It is very easy to use, you just add a tablespoon of coffee per 4 ounces of water, then add your water, stir, put the lid on loosely and let it sit and brew for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes are up, you can press and serve and enjoy a wonderful cup of fresh coffee. I definitely like French press coffee now that I have tried it, and I enjoy making it with this unit.

   Even though I used my regular Kirkland ground coffee it brewed perfectly. My Keurig is on it’s last leg, and I didn’t want to spend a fortune for a coffee pot again. This $14.99 French press coffee tastes far better than the coffee out of the Keurig. It’s much easier to make and faster to brew. I don’t need those cumbersome filters that are a bother to wash. I boiled water in my whistling tea pot. Then let it rest so it wasn’t at a full boil. During these few minutes I put hot water in the carafe and let hot water run around the outside as instructed so you’re not pouring piping hot water into a cold Carafe which might crack it, common sense. After 3 mins. of brewing l poured it into my large thermos, l always use to carry my coffee on my walker. I imagine l can set the carafe up on my coffee table & bring the hot water in the tea pot to it. There wasn’t a speck of grounds in the brew. Smooth, rich, delicious. I stirred it with a wooden spoon & composted the grounds when done removing them easily with a spatula.

    This is my first experience with a French press, I’m really liking it. Once I got the hang of things, it works really well. You have to pre-warm it with hot water, but keeps the drink hot while brewing. I like the double screen filter, you get a tiny bit of “sludge”, but no grounds. I’m not sure about how durable it will be, seems like regular fragile glass, not the borosilicate glass (but I could be wrong). And the (real!) metal part does get very hot! Realized that the hard way (hadn’t had my coffee yet!). All in all, it’s a very nice little gadget, perfect size for the two cups I drink at a time (but would hold more), nice looking, simple to use. I will use it gently, and hope it lasts. Very good price, so if it breaks I would get another.

    Great product. My Cuban coffee tastes great! I only make one cup so its perfect for that, as opposed to using a coffeemaker. Easy to clean. It does warn against putting boiling water in it, so I let the water sit for a couple minutes before I pour it in. Haven’t had a problem.

    This is one of those items you see everywhere but it’s perfect if you don’t want to go through the hassle of shopping in the store to purchase. I just recently purchased some expensive coffee so I wanted to give it a shot with the french press twist. I was definitely not disappointed. It made my coffee taste amazing. I had been seeing french presses at several stores and meaning to try them but never purchased. Once I got this new coffee, I needed a reason. This press is sturdy and has great quality. It’s not glass, which is ok with me since I don’t want to risk it breaking easily. I also love the added mess to the bottom to help with an added layer of strained coffee grounds. Overall, it’s a great buy, especially since it came straight to my doorstep!

    I primarily bought this for camping, but have enjoyed making coffee and tea in it at home as well! If you like your beverages kept very hot you may want to invest in an insulated version. This works fine for my needs.
    I did struggle finding a breakage resistant container for taking it camping…until I was ready to recycle the box it came in. The light bulb came on. Hang onto that box and take this baby camping with you!

    I really like that this has a double filter, so you really aren’t gonna get any coffee grounds, especially if you grind bigger like you should for French press. There’s nothing mechanical or electrical on a French press so if it’s sturdy and looks good it’s a winner. This is a winner. It was easy to clean afterwards as well. I usually don’t have very good luck with glass ones but this one so far seems sturdier than most and I haven’t broken it yet so fingers crossed. This is the one that’s going to last me for a long time.

    This is an excellent value for a great French press. The press is very well made and attractive on my counter top. It makes 3 average cups, or two very large cups, of fantastic coffee. The filter system is unique and efficient. The filter is simple to replace and clean. It comes with an extra filter screen, so it literally takes one minute to replace the filter with the clean one and run the other through the dishwasher. The press makes the most pure coffee without sediment of any French press I have owned. I am sold! I plan on ordering another one for my camper van.
