   Got this yesterday. Nice looks and comfortable to hold. It’s smaller than I expected (see photo with wine bottle for comparison). I was misled to think it was made in Glasgow, which would explain the high price. I was disappointed to see it is actually made in China, according to the box (see photo) . I was also disappointed that the filters don’t have a rivet in the middle, like my old Bodum filter (see photo). I’m considering returning the item.

   The package arrived in a broken box. The product itself looks beautiful, I was looking for a replacement due to breaking my glass french press (that I had for 4 years). I figured this would be good. The size is smaller than I anticipated, but what I did not like was the screeching sound (metal – to metal) when pressing down. It looked to me that there was particles when i did this. Unfortunately, this did not work great for me and I was disappointed. I thought based on the coast, it would be worth it. Not sure why there is a wood top handled an the rest is aluminum. Overall, i do not recommend buying this.

   No doubt about it, at first glance this coffee press has a nice look. It’s a gleaming coppery rose gold color, and it has a good weight to it. The handle is modern but comfortable. It’s going to take a bit of care to keep it looking nice. Like nearly all products with a high shine, it’s going to show fingerprints and watermarks. I haven’t used it yet, just took it out of the box, and there are a few very light scratches that can’t even be picked up by my camera, but it does indicate that this will scratch easily with normal use. You’re going to need kid gloves with this one. Definitely hand wash and don’t use anything other than a soft cloth and mild dish soap. Take care not to bang it on the sink accidentally. On the top where it plunges down, you can see that the coating hasn’t entirely covered the metal. Hopefully that will not be an issue in the future. The above was written before I used this coffee press. Now that I’ve used it, I’m adding on another star because it performs beautifully. The mesh screen Is fine enough to filter out the grounds and merrily scrapes down the carafe. On my particular coffee press, it does make a sound like fingernails on a chalkboard, but experience from owning many, many coffee presses says that they all can’t be calibrated perfectly. Yours may or may not make that sound. It holds the heat better than a glass carafe. A very good way to make coffee or even loose tea. So that’s the good and the bad of this product. I hope very much that this review can help you to make a decision about whether or not you’d like to invest in this coffee press. It might not be perfect, but I like it very much.

   This is a very nice looking item, is easy to use and clean and keeps your brewed coffe warm for a long time.

   It will look nice in any kitchen and is a very premium looking item, but I simply can’t justify the £70 asking price. If you can get it with a voucher that is often available then it is more desireable.

   If money is not a concern of yours then you won’t be dissappointed with this item and it will increase the sofistication of your kitchen.

    This is a beautiful piece of kitchen/diningware and the finishing and functionality is impeccable. However, functionally it is the same as models costing a fraction of the price and I would struggle to justify the purchase on anything other than aesthetic grounds.

    If you’re a French Press lover, this is a big step up from your standard glass French press. It keeps your coffee at a high temperature while brewing since it’s double walled, and it looks amazing doing it. French press isn’t my go-to method for every day but since getting this a couple of weeks ago I’ve made more French press coffee than I have in a long time. The wood handle pull is a nice touch as well!

    I wish it would make a large 2 or 3 cups. It’s perfect in all validity if you drink too much coffee. I look forward to my morning 1 and 1/2 cups of coffee. It’s quality, and I savor every drop. Light but even weighted. It feels nice to handle, and looks nice.

    I have tried a number of French presses in my past and never really cared for them due to the fact they don’t keep the coffee hot. This one does much better. I prime it first with hot water, them brew my coffee. I won’t say the coffee is hot, but will say it is closer to hot to be able to drink it without having to microwave the coffee. I have had no issues with cleaning. This is just the right size for a couple of cups.

    This is the perfect one person press. Coffee stays remarkably hot for a very long time, great build quality, and it’s aesthetically beautiful. My press arrived with a small but noticeable defect (the wooden plunger was tilted). I reached out to Concetto’s customer service; Neil responded quickly and resolved the issue. The quality of Concetto’s product support equals the quality of the product.
