   This french press is well constructed – it feels solidly made. The plunger/filter fits snugly and allows very little coffee sediment to pass through the filter. It is important to note that the product received looks very different from the product portrayed in the photos (see attached photos of the box and french press). I like that there are no plastic parts that descend into the hot water. I was disappointed that the steel lid has a white plastic liner that extends maybe 1mm below the steel, so unless you pour very slowly or pop up the lid slightly, your brewed coffee will be passing over the plastic liner as you pour into your cup. One other thing to mention re: cleaning is that unlike other french presses I’ve owned, you cannot use the plunger rod to spin the metal support X under the filter mesh to aid in the cleaning process.

   The only thing I’d say bad is about the advertisement of the product. It is not the same french press that is pictured which many others also expressed. I was concerned about the quality of the glass as I had read other reviewers indicating it broke as soon as they started using it. That was not the case in my experience. The glass is more stout than I expected. I like the look, and feel of it. The coffee tastes good. The filter does its job and keeps ALL grounds out. Something my previous french press did not do. I get two coffee cups full of coffee. I’d recommend it. For as cheap as it is, it is better than I expected. Just don’t expect what is advertised. All in all, easy to use, easy to clean. I hope to have it forever.

   I love the size of this press. I use it to steep loose leaf tea instead of using it for coffee. This works great for tea! Even as fine as some are, once you press and pour, it stains clear every time!

   I had a previous French press that had a wooden part and even though you were not supposed to I would wash it in the dishwasher to save time and the wood warped and other parts failed to work. This one has no wood and it works great and it makes terrific coffee.
   Sometimes it’s a little difficult to wash out the grinds in the filter part afterwards.
   That should not be a factor in not purchasing it though.

   It came completely broken before we even opened the package. There was no reliable cushioning inside the box to prevent this from happening other than one thin flimsy layer of small bubble and some loose styrofoam at the ends. Returning it for a refund. Really contemplating whether or not to buy this again if they’re gonna package it like this. Such a shame. Was looking forward to using it the day it came.

   My daughter uses this. Great small size since she’s the only one who drinks coffee in our house. Easy to use and clean. I cannot attest to flavor since I don’t like coffee, sorry.

    I was having a great time delving into the world of the French Press. This little device definitely helped usher in some of the most delicious coffee I’ve had at home to date. So I definitely can’t complain on that end. I had a technique down pat but I also like to read and experience different methods. I decided to try the advice of this guy that was recommended on reddit via youtube and put the water in directly after boiling. Imagine my super surprise when I poured the water in and saw a crack forming. I thought it would be fine, but after about 3 minutes in that crack seemed to spread and when I picked it up to head to the sink, the thing SHATTERED. It was a huge mess of glass and coffee grinds and hot water over the counter and the floor. I did not get burned or hurt or anything. I do not know if I got a defective unit or if the integrity of my glass was harmed during shipping process, but it was incredibly scary and seemed really dangerous. I’ve loved the process and the coffee created from this French Press method so I have already ordered a different brand. Judging from the other reviews and comments, my experience was the rare exception and not the rule, but still, it was scary enough that I had to share what happened.

    Works great! Comes with an extra press screen. The instructions recommend to preheat the pitcher before pouring hot water in, not sure if the glass is shock proof yet. Makes a great cup of coffee.
