   La cafetera está en todo, cumple con las expectativas, es programable y de fácil uso, lo más versátil es poder colocar el vaso térmico directamente en la cafetera para que esté listo el café sin tener que pasar de la jarra al vaso.

   En la descripción del producto no se muestra que tipo de vaso se puede usar, ni el alto o tamaño, en mi caso estoy utilizando un vaso de 17 cms de alto (sin la tapadera), de 16 onzas y de 20 onzas acero inoxidable.

   I got the model with the stainless carafe. The stainless carafe is an expensive option, but has multiple benefits. The most obvious benefit of the carafe is that it keeps your coffee warm. They say it keeps your coffee warm for 2 hours, but frankly this is a bit of an underestimate. It’s still hot (eg, drinkable) 2 hours later, but it keeps it warm pretty much all day. The carafe is also great at keeping coffee cold. I like iced coffee, and you can keep your coffee iced cold all day by adding ice cubes or by putting the carafe in the fridge for a few hours. I recommend letting it cool down before adding ice. The third significant advantage to the stainless carafe is that it doesn’t break. We’ve have to replace our glass carafe a couple times, but this stainless carafe can be dropped and abused without breaking. The stainless carafe does have a few disadvantages. You cannot see what it inside – how much (if any) is left. There have been a few times we thought it was empty, and in fact it had a little bit on the bottom and was breeding mold. Also the stainless is a little more difficult to clean out. There’s a little lip on the inside of the carafe that is difficult to clean. It is dishwasher safe, though. Beyond the carafe, this is a smart little coffee maker. It comes with a rinseable, reusable filter, which is thoughtful. I do use these, but they also result in a little more sludge and silt at the bottom of the pot. It has several other amenities as well. The photo on the box shows black tumbler that seems specifically suited for this coffee maker, and I was hoping that a tumbler was included. Alas, no, it is not. It only includes the carafe. However, it fits my 20 ounce stainless tumbler just fine. It has numerous timer settings, including 24 hour programming delay. It has a self-cleaning (de-scale) mode, but no descaling solution was included with mine. Cons: No descaling solution was included. I think it’s a bit expensive. It’s a smaller coffee pot, only 10 cups instead of 12. Registering my product was pretty much a nightmare, took 30 minutes. Aesthetically it’s terrific, and it’s got a smaller footprint than my previous coffee maker. Overall 4.5 stars, a thumbs up.

   UPDATE 8/29/23 Today while attempting to use the Delay Brew feature, I learned that button also does not work so I do not have the ability to set the coffee maker to brew for the next day. I definitely received a “lemon”. Also, coffeemakers.us.com has replied to my inquiry (see last update) and submitted a satisfactory offer to resolve the situation. However, I still am extremely disappointed with the failure of this coffee maker. UPDATE 8/28/23 After waiting several days for an email reply, I was directed to call GE Cares Line. And after waiting 30 minutes to speak to a person, I was told that this unit is not repairable by them and to contact coffeemakers.us.com to make a return. This problem is becoming more frustrating as I go but I’ll give coffeemakers.us.com a shot and will update this review again later. _____________________________ I purchased the – GE Drip Coffee Maker With Timer | 10-Cup Thermal Carafe Coffee Pot – mostly for the single serving feature for those times when I need a cup of coffee on the go. The first time I tried it, I filled the water reservoir up to the “minimum” mark. The directions do not state how many ounces of water that is. After experimenting, I figured it’s approximately 13 ounces which is the size of one of my larger mugs. The directions do state that 4 cup mark is 20 ounces. The single serving feature works well. The next time I made coffee, I used the carafe to make a 4 cup pot. Because the flavor seemed a little weaker than my Cuisinart coffee maker, I tried the Bold Brew feature and that seemed to help. I’m going to play around with the ratio of coffee to water and try a paper filter to see if that will change the flavor profile any. As far as the temperature of the coffee; it could be hotter but I do prefer a too-hot-to-drink cup of coffee. The thermal carafe does keep the coffee hot and tasting fresh but again, I like my coffee extremely hot so I found myself using the microwave on occasion to warm it up some. One of the last times that I used this coffee maker, I was making a larger pot which did not require the use of the 1-4 cup setting feature. Unfortunately, I couldn’t shut off the 1-4 cup setting and I still can’t shut it off. The light remains on. I have soured the directions and have tried everything from unplugging the unit to sliding the lever to the right and making another single serving cup of coffee. I have searched online for information, as well as read numerous reviews. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, or there is an issue with my unit. So, I hopped on over to GE’s website and sent an email asking for assistance. Once I receive a response, I’ll update this review. I think this coffee maker is very attractive (and prettier than my Cuisinart) and it matches my kitchen’s aesthetics nicely. I think the instructions are lacking and could be improved on. I like the stainless steel carafe and the ability to brew a single cup. But I am feeling frustrated and disappointed about having brand new coffee pot with a “stuck” 1-4 cup setting. For that reason alone, I can only give this coffeemaker a 2 star rating. Hopefully this issue will be resolved quickly. And again, I’ll update this review with those results. Lastly, I think it’s worth noting that I did not encounter any issues whatsoever when registering my coffeemaker on GE’s website. It was simple and quick.

    This is a very stylish little coffee pot. Looks amazing in my kitchen. Coffee tastes great. Simple functions. Has a few problems that I can live with in exchange for the style and quality. The coffee isn’t really hot. Comes out at perfect drinking temperature. It’s also difficult to pour and get all the coffee out due to the spout being on top and a little back from the edge instead of on the edge/tip of pot. Don’t understand why they did this. And it’s a little hard to aim water into corner to fill. But like I said, It’s nothing I can’t live with. Can’t believe in this time, how difficult it is to find a stylish, we’ll built coffee pot with all the necessary basic functions that have been a staple for many decades 🤷 Very happy with it over all. Makes good coffee, looks amazing and feels super well built. All I could ask for.

    This is an excellent coffee pot. While we have a single serve brewer, with 4 adults and sometimes company, a full coffee pot is a must. It brews a full pot of coffee really fast through a conical, gold filter. Makes a rich cup of coffee. Then, the thermal carafe keeps coffee quite hot for 3 hours or more with no deterioration in flavor! The Bold brew option makes a strong yet smooth pot of coffee. There are other features like delay brew, small pot or travel mug, and of course, auto shut-off. We are enjoying excellent coffee from a fast, well-designed, superior coffee pot.

    Coffee makers are not new technology, and but it is still possible to have a design that just doesn’t meet expectations. This GE coffee maker has 3 problems. 1) The design of the thermal carafe is such that there is an inner lip of about 1″ that prevents all the liquid from being poured. The lip is to support the removable cap, and would have been fine is it tapered to direct the flow into the spout area, but instead it acts a a dam that will prevent you from pouring the last 1/2 cup of coffee out. In fact, the only way to get most of that liquid out is to remove the cap, and hold it upside down. Even then, there will still be about 1/8th of a cup that will not empty. 2) The cap itself is an example of overthinking. You place the cap on, then slightly rotate it to lock into place. The cap facilitates the pouring spout. Why? The carafe should be shaped with a spout, and the cap should rotate to open or close the spout. Instead, there is an inner flat opening where the fluid moves through the cap, which is… about 1″ from the side of the carafe. Basically, the spout is inside the cap. 3) Finally, my issue with this coffee maker is that it is too tall. I have a rolling board that my under cabinet kitchen appliances use. These things are made with coffee makers in mind, as you usually want them back against the kitchen wall, but need to pull them forward to fill them with water. This is the first coffee maker I have ever tried that has so little clearance from the counter to my cabinets. I cannot use the rolling board. Why? What marvel of technology is in this GE unit that necessitated this height? Aside from having a poorly designed thermal carafe, this is just a standard coffee maker. Yes, it makes a normal cup of coffee, but making the coffee is a bare minimum requirement to have the name “Coffee Maker”. The design of the coffee delivery system is terrible and it is rapped and an unjustifiably large package. I cannot recommend this product.

    Got this coffee maker for Christmas. Love that it keeps my coffee warm for hours after initial brew… but to fill the water reservoir from the thermal pot, is not loved/liked because the pot doesn’t not FULLY empty, unless you tip it completely over. Internal lip (of pot) is too thick for all the water (and the coffee after brewing) to leave the pot, unless you flip the pot completely over or take the top off the pot… not convenient especially if it’s hot coffee.

    Pros: -So many great settings that pay off. Single serve, mid-brew pour (so you don’t have to wait for the whole pot to brew), delayed brew, and more. -Sometimes steel carafes can have a metallic flavor but I didn’t notice any problem. -Easy to clean the water retainer, machine, and the pot.     After extensive research for a programmable coffee maker w Stainless steel carafe, I noticed ALL reviewed had negative feedback and there is only 1 company that offers a half decent coffee maker (Bunn). But my other half decided on a cheaper GE plastic coffee maker because, well it was GE. What could go wrong for $90.00 + a Asurion warranty for 15.00 ?? Well, our 1st order arrived broken. It was returned. Our second one arrived fine, and right out of the box we followed instructions and set it up and the coffee was EH. Not hot. Not fresh tasting. But whatever, right? Well for the last 3 weeks, please refer to the photos. This plastic, foreign made molded piece of junk LEAKS, the delayed brew doesn’t work, and the coffee still doesn’t come out fresh and hot. We watched the video and followed directions, precisely as stated. I recorded the leak, after following instructions. It’s posted here. Using only the reusable filter, which came with this machine. I filed a warranty claim w Asurion 2 weeks ago and have not gotten a reply. Zilch. Nada. Zip. Nothing. So don’t waste your money buying this coffee maker. Sure the programming is easy, but WHY WAStE your money??? Thankfully we have a percolator that was 35.-, (Farberware) that requires 10 minutes of patience but every morning gives us Hot, fresh made coffee. Every morning. Purchased 3 yrs ago. That’s money well spent. The GE coffee maker is not recommended. Spend your money elsewhere, and be sure the internals are made of metal, not cheap plastic. And that the carafe holds heat, which this carafe doesn’t. And that the warmer plate keeps the coffee warm and shuts off automatically after 2-3hrs. This coffee maker has none of these features. Lesson learned. Now to hope we hear back from Asurion or coffeemakers.us.com. Fingers crossed. Update: still have not heard back from Asurion, coffeemakers.us.com, and learned that since we purchased this coffeemaker on Oct. 31, it’s out of warranty. Yes, unless you have a tree that grows money, don’t waste yours on this coffee maker. Buyer beware.

    I should have listened to the other reviews: this coffee maker DOES NOT make or keep the coffee hot. I had to heat it in the microwave after pouring a cup. That’s particularly frustrating when you just want a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning. I rated it this product 4 stars because it brewed a flavorful cup. I didn’t like the shutoff feature either & adding water to the dispenser is a tight fit using the carafe so I used a measuring cup to reduce spillage. Lastly, I like an auto shutoff, but the clock & full display also shuts off. Most coffee makers shut off but you can still see the clock & other features when the pot is in the off setting. I’m returning this product & have shopped for another brand of thermal coffee maker. Fingers crossed.

    For the last 2 months when brewing is done the top of the cover (moat) is filled with clear water surrounding the bubble top where the coffee basket meets it. The coffee does fill the pot. This is getting more severe each day where I have to clear the water before pouring the coffee, what is causing this? I alternate with 2 coffee baskets and the result is the same for both. No drip feature works haphazardly. I purchased in December 2023 14 months ago, GE states warranty is only for one year and GE agents will not state what is causing these problems. Could never figure out how to turn off the “Descale” message. Never again GE. GE is a Chinese owned manufacturer based in Louisville, Kentucky. It is owned by Haier Smart Home Company.

    What I like about this coffee pot is it sits in the small area on my counter perfectly like a little coffee nook. I like that It has a reusable coffee filter. After using it I leave the lid slightly ajar using the top of the coffee pot so that it dries a little before the next use. The reason why I said great coffee pot but… is because I thought the warming burner would offer a hotter coffee after having brewed a pot. So for those of us that like hotter coffee, I simply pop mug in the microwave if I’m using the coffee that has been sitting on the warmer for a while.

    Overall it works well & keeps the coffee warm for up to 2 hours. However, the downside is standby mode turns the clock off after the coffee brews. Plus the top of the pot has a thick rim with a small circle top. This means you have to practically turn it upside down to get the last of the coffee out, which causes it to spill out from the top. Lastly, it would be nice if it had a side view window, so you could see how much coffee is in there without taking the top off.

    I’ve had this brewer for 14 months, it worked very well the first year. 12th month it takes longer to brew. Shortly after the temperature of the coffee varies and the lid on the carafe no longer stays locked, if you pour the last half the pot it will end up all over the counter. If you are looking for one that will last longer than 14 months I wouldn’t recommend this one, if you like to replace your coffee maker every year well then this might be the one for you.

    I would not recommend this. It makes good coffee, but the design makes it very difficult to fill the unit with water, and impossible to pour the entire contents of the carrageenan without taking the top out and holding it upside down. It looks good, but is a functional failure.
