   I think that some of the other reviewers may be unfamiliar with making pour over coffee, as many of the poor reviews seem to be the results of user error. I have used this a few times and found it to work as expected. I did not have issues with the filter Breaking (I suspekt people tried using flat bottom filters, or perhaps taking it out before it had finished draining. Another complaint I had seen was that the carafe was cracking with the addition of water. Any cold ceramic vessel will crack when 212°F water is added. Try bringing the temp of the carafe up ahead of time with a hot water (not boiling) rinse before brewing. Alternatively try brewing around 100°, I find that leads to a better cup and a more even extraction 🙂 The beauty of pour over coffee is being able to control for a lot of factors and create a really nuanced cup. I got this pour-over carafe so I can do a higher quantity (as opposed to a singe cup pour-over) of great coffee at once, and it has definitely met my expectations! I also think it looks cute, very reminiscent of a bialeti moka pot. I think the blue color really pops 💙

   Perfect for my bachelor studio w/no kitchen, easy to use, limited clean up and I can just put it in the fridge there is virtually no mess! Works amazing In tiny spaces as it can’t be knocked over easily (for the clumsy at heart). This was my first pour over I appreciate it so much more than the coffee press!

   This attractive pot is advertised for use with #4 filters. These are the flat ones with the straight bottom, no pointed cone. There is a large hole at the bottom of the cone-shaped top obviously meant to hold a Chemex-type pointy cone filter.

   The #4 filters do not fit properly. I tried using one and the weight of the saturated coffee grounds, with the filter, unsupported at the bottom due to the large hole, burst at the bottom, dumping everything into the pot. Grounds for six cups of expensive coffee ruined.

   I’ve used #4 filters for decades and this has never happened with a proper filter cone.

   If you have easy access to pointed cone filters, it will likely be OK.

   But somewhere, the pot was “repurposed” to make it more appealing to standard filter users and it simply is a bad mistake. Returned.

   I used a metal filter I had from a glass pour over set that broke. I don’t think a paper filter would work well. I can see it dropping into the hole. Definitely get a metal mesh filter. I remove the filter before I pour. Pretty and a good quality product. Stays warm longer than the glass carafes available for pour over sets.

   This product does NOT work as sold! However if you like the design and want to make it work as I did, you can purchase a medium sized sink drain filter and set it in the bottom of the filter cone to support the paper filter. Works great now! 👍

   The only thing I liked about this was the look of it because the functionality is worthless. I tried two different kinds of filters from two different pour overs because the ones that come with this don’t work and when you pour it into a cup it comes out the top and the spout, and makes a mess. Don’t waste your money!

    This is a great little unit HOWEVER, you can NOT pour boiling water!! READ THE DIRECTIONS!! You must let it cool down a little bit. It keeps coffee warm, but not hot. So I leave the paper filter on after the pour.. to help keep the heat in.

    Originally bought this because of the looks. I have used this time and time again with a reusable coffee filter. It is dishwasher safe and a nice way to keep your coffee warm and serve coffee.
