   I really like everything about this French Press except the pouring. I use it to make tea, not coffee, and the lower filter works so well that the upper filter has nothing much to do. So it is not jamming of that upper filter which creates the pouring problem, but something else–maybe the fit of the plastic lid into the glass base. Whatever the reason, unless I pour exceedingly slowly at first, and only slowly increase, I get bad dribble down the glass base as I pour. There is one other oddity, at least in my sample. The sound made when you tap on the glass varies a great deal by location of tapping, and it sounds so dead when you tap on the bottom that when it happened by accident I was sure I had broken it. The glass is thin, so it may be easy to break, but I’ve not done so in a couple of months of steady use.

   I really loved it! The color was great. But glass is extreme fragile. I tapped the bottom to release the coffee beans to compost and it completely cracked the bottom. I am strong… but i don’t feel I tapped that hard for it to crack like it did.

   I’m sad that I have to give this a bad review because I as looking forward to this product more than some other products I buy from coffeemakers.us.com. I’ve been hearing amazing things about french presses and have been wanting to buy one for awhile now and finally did. The issue I have with this is even though the coffee is rich and tastes good when using this you get some of the coffee grinds because if you can see by my picture it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the glass container of the french press. So, they float all around and end up slipping into the cup. If they can fix this issue and make these particular ones so they go all the way down then this problem will be solved. I tried two other of their coffee french presses and only one of them goes all the way to the bottom. That one I have no issues with. This one I wouldn’t buy again unless they changed the way the grind issues happens so it doesn’t. This isn’t a personally one time mistake because I read reviews on this one and the one other french press from them that doesn’t go all the way down and other mentioned about that issue. So, keep that in mind when buying this. If you do not care about some grinds getting into your cup then this is good for you. I didn’t want that and do not like when that happens personally. I recieved this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

   I love my French press! And this Grosche has some excellent features. One thing I hated about some of the French press designs is the housing holding the glass carafe was nearly impossible (and one Bodum design, impossible) to clean. So water would be trapped and dry leaving coffee residues, water spots and calcium deposits. And of course, visible through the carafe, it looked gross. Now, this Grosche Zurich design has completely solved that issue. The carafe has a metal band and plastic handle much like a typical electric coffeemaker carafe. And this has a silicone base that fits tightly and is removable! Excellent! Another feature that could be considered a pro or a con, the strainer section on the lid srains extremely well- so well it tends to keep the cremá back instead of in my cup, but throuroughly, strains any stray coffee ground. And the last feature I’ll note, it’s all stainless steel components. Every piece that is plunged into your delightful bit of coffee is stainless, even the tiny, little fastener holding the filter parts. For me, that means the parts are going to last and I can keep it perfectly clean. About the functionality, it’s a quality French press and makes perfect coffee. This is a great French press and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes good coffee!

   I am in love with my new Glass French Press by Grosche.  This may be my new favorite way of brewing a cup of tea. I order the small French press in red.  There is also a larger model available but for my purpose I love the small one because it is perfect to brew just one cup of tea. I have never owned a French press before and didn’t know if it would actually work but it did an outstanding job.  Not one tea particle ended up in my finished cup of tea and somehow my tea tastes even better.  Perhaps because the tea leaves have more room to dance around.   I used a plastic spoon to stir it around a little before I used the plunger to slowly push the leaves to the bottom of the glass.  Then I poured a perfect cup of tea. This comes in a nice box and would make a great gift.   One neat thing I noticed is that the Grosche company has a project where they create 5 days of safe drinking water for someone in need from this purchase.  It is always nice when company’s give back to those in need.    I love this coffee press. I use this at work and my coworkers ask me where I bought it. I keep it at the office for some of my coworkers to use. Works like it suppose to. Nice volume and easy to use. Easy to clean and take apart. I was a little worried about the rubber bottom that prevents it from sliding around but it hold firmly. It makes maybe two or three cups of coffee, I’m not sure since I use it for my travel mug. I would buy this for someone as a gift.
