   Look, this is your basic personal 5-cup coffee maker. I like mine, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The metal carafe is light thin metal, it reminds me of a campfire coffee pot actually. The whole machine is quite nice and compact for small apartments, and takes #2 paper filters. I love that it doesn’t have a timer, I’ve had coffee machines with those before and I never used them. This model has an on/off button. Simple. The thing just works.

   Prior to buying, I read other reviews saying that it had pour/drip problems. I have not encountered these. One thing with a lot of coffee pots is that if you pour rapidly while the lid is still on, it can spill around the area where the top meets the lid. There are two solutions to this: pour like a normal person (don’t dump your coffee) or use your thumb to pick up the lid just a hair as you pour fast. Either way it works fine.

   For the great price here, I’m not expecting rhinestones & a personal digital assistant. This is a simple machine that just works, I’m happy with it.

   disposable coffee maker! It is a shame that a brand so renowned for its good quality uses some cheap and poor quality materials to make this coffee maker. in my case I bought the one in the stainless steel cup but the bottom plate is made of very fine cheap metal and with the humidity it deteriorates and corrodes, making the machine go bad. I was able to repair it by buying a 4 inch diameter x 1/16 inch thick round stainless steel piece on ebay.com for only $ 3.95 and now it is a good quality coffee maker !!!

   I bought it for my garage at the chalet. I wanted something simple, inexpensive, and that held up. She does her job without fuss. The coffee is good, hot, and it’s pretty quick. On the other hand, the design isn’t crazy, and it makes a bit of noise. It heats up quickly, the coffee tastes good, but it’s not barista stuff, eh. In terms of performance, it is suitable for small groups. For a fiesta, you’d have to think bigger.

   Clean it regularly, it keeps the taste great. And use filtered water, it’s a game changer for the taste. Change your coffee regularly. Quality coffee makes all the difference. And if you really want something great, invest in a good coffee grinder. It’s life changing.

   okay so I will try to make this short and answer few idea from the other reviews you may have read. This makes the exact amount of cups it states if you know what a cup is. A cup of coffee varies some consider 6 oz or 8 oz a cup of coffee. so 5 cups of coffee equals 5x6oz which is 30oz or if you are going by 8oz 8×5 equals 40oz. a standard cup of coffee is not that large mug your wife bought you or cup you drink from it is 6oz or 8oz. so 5 cups means you will get either 30oz or 40 oz of coffee out of this thing. a regular cup the one you drink from holds 16 ozs of coffee. this means you can get no more than 2 drinks or 2 cups of coffee out of this thing. Next when people say it spills. It can be used with out filter but I recommend using paper filler and problem will be solved. If you don’t know what size to buy just use a sheet of bounty it works exactly the same. The spill is usually user error because if you use a filter you wont get coffee grains in the coffee or have the spill issue. Size wise it does not take up much space less than even your average blender. It make coffee very fast not under 30 seconds but 3-5 minutes which I think is reasonable. It gets average use for me maybe 4 times out the weak and once a day and still running smooth after two month. I cant say how long it will last but its seems to be intended to be for one person use not busy office. If you are reading this I read all the reviews as well on all the other coffee makers etc and if your question is this a good one the answer is YES.

   Pros: – Compact, space saver – Heat fast – Only one button turn on/off; i like the simple design – Brewing cycle will pause when the Carafe Is Removed, as described Cons: – No water level indicator – Carafe is small (only enough for ~2.5 mugs coffee) – As u can see, my “Hamilton” label already peeled off at front – Build quality overall not good; feels cheap

   Due to dripping from the carafe while pouring, ours have lasted about 1-1/2 years before needing replacement due to corrosion on the base plate. We started cleaning it with oil and it looks like it helps. Attached pictures is after one year of use. It appears there is a newer model that hopefully addresses this problem.

    I bought this as a gift for my mother and the front label is peeling off on both sides. We had it less than a week when it started peeling. It works fine. My mother is in a wheelchair and kept breaking the glass pots, so we got the stainless steel to eliminate the ‘breaking’ factor. I would have loved to give this product more stars, but have been very disappointed in the quality. I have to wonder how long it will take for everything else to start falling apart.
