I bought this for my mom because it’s so simple to use and she loves it. It’s her second one. The first one lasted about a year and then just stopped working one day for no apparent reason.
Then I purchased another in again on coffeemakers.us.com. Today, we made one cup of coffee, which was fine. When we tried to make a second cup, that was it. Dead. It worked perfectly and then died, just like the first one, except this one only lasted 3 months instead of a year, like the last one.
Won’t buy another.

I was sick of throwing those k-cups away, seemed like such a waste. This coffeemaker uses coffee pods, which are simply the perfect amount of coffee in a coffee filter packet. Put one in the coffeemaker, add water, and press the button. A few minutes later, voila’! A great cup of coffee. A really nice feature is the ability to add two pods for an extra strong cup of coffee. I’ll do that, but my wife uses the single packet.
My favorite coffee for this is Baronet French Roast 10 gram pods. Enjoy!

UPDATE: My husband says the problem isn’t the coffeemaker; it is the coffee! I bought the Good Gold coffee. It is cheap and weak. If you can find other coffee options, this pot might be okay!
By far the worst cup of coffee I have ever had. Keurig (although not great) is actually better. Returning on 1-30-25.
The pot was new, the box was damaged, and there were no instructions. I bought 3 unreturnable boxes of coffee. If you are going to order this coffee pot, buy only ONE box of coffee until you know you are going to keep it. I gave two stars because you could theoretically pack this tiny pot in a suitcase if you are staying in a hotel room without the luxury of a coffee pot.

Bought this to replace my old Senseo. I want to continue using paper pods b/c they’re better for the environment. Miss the crema the Senseo produced so I bought an electric milk frother. Adding frothed milk to the coffee produced by the Hamilton Beach coffeemaker is delicious and the HB pod holder can accommodate a variety of paper pod brands

This unit is just like, if not exactly like the ones you find in motel/hotel rooms so if you have used one of those you know how it operates as far as speed. We bought this for our motor home because it was small and efficient. We haven’t used this yet because it did NOT come with the 4 pods the listing said were to be enclosed with it, which if I had known I would have ordered or purchased some pods in advance. Also, no instructions except for what is one the flip up where you put the water in.
I don’t know if I would use this as a “daily use” coffee maker, but I guess if they put them in motel/hotel rooms it must have some degree of durability. Seems well built for such a small unit and worth the money paid. But someone needs to correct the listing regarding the “4 free pods”.

We used this item in hotel rooms during our visit to N America. Struck by simplicity of the equipment and ease of use, decided to get one for home. Only issue to be aware of (for those who do not live in N America) is that this is designed to work with a 110 V supply. So if you live in a region that has wall socket with 220 V, as we do, then DO NOT use this product. Or buy a voltage converter as we did and this works fine. 5 stars 🌟 for simple design and ease of use.
