   We’ve had this coffee maker for 4 months now and it is still working like it was day one. Very happy with it. It produces great coffee. It is a tad slow but as long as you have it timed right you won’t be late for work. We love it! We know how to tell time so the slowness doesn’t bother us. It is a great little coffee maker!

   I’ve had lots of coffee makers over the years and this one is at the top. The single cup maker is markedly slower than the competitors but well worth the wait. Easy to clean. Lots nice on countertop. This would be first choice again

   What I liked – I can brew either a full carafe or a single cup. I have both ground coffee and K-pods, but can also use ground coffee in single-brew attachment. Excellent brew, can pause to sneak a quick cup of coffee.

   What can be improved – an attachable water canister would be nice, rather than having to fill it with water each time I want to use it. Pouring water in the resorvoir can be messy if I try to pour too quickly, and the brew time for both the carafe and single cup are exceedingly slow compared to my old coffeemaker.

   Very pleased with this coffee maker! It looks great on my coffee bar it’s easy to use and the programmable option is a must when you have family members with various wake up times. The only minor complaint is the pot stays on for 2 hours after brewing, but the option to brew 1 cup or a pot is a plus and it brews nice and hot!!

   The Hamilton Frexbrew model #49976 and others have so many reviews with the same problem, the water hose leak. It happened to me a year ago I opened and corrected it. Today it leaked again this time it was a different hose, this one the heating element was melting the hose around the pipe, I called for parts they said this model is discontinued therefore no replacement. You would think with this many problems they would upgrade to a better part!

    We are now on our second unit of this exact model, and in both instances the ring around the heating pad/element has loudly CRACKED when brewing coffee. I’ve been brewing coffee in a variety of coffee makers for decades, both at home and in the office, and I’ve never had any other brand or unit do this – only these two units of this exact model. I don’t know what is up with their design or their manufacturing process or what, but it’s a real shame. This maker is WAY too expensive for us to keep having to deal with this, and there is no chance we’re going to give any more money to Hamilton Beach for such shoddy workmanship. The real shame is that we actually really love the versatility of this unit; we can brew up full pots for when we want to have a few cups between several of us, use their included single-serving adapter to make a single cup, or even throw in standard k-cup type pods. When it’s working, it works great and looks good o our countertop. But for the price they ask to have these last no more than 6-12 months each? Sorry, just not worth it.

    I have had the pod only unit version of this for about 3 years now and absolutely love the simplicity (ease of use) and this has made me want this single / multi-serve unit. I plan to buy this multi unit soon but I can say for the pod only unit, it’s been fantastic. Keep in mind, the light will flash when it needs to be internally cleaned. Just run a cup of white vinegar through it followed by 4 runs of tap water to rinse. Works every time and the light stops flashing when not in use. I can’t wait to get my hands on this dual unit!

    We love this. This is a replacement for a first generation version of the same. When a few parts needed replacing we opted to buy a new one instead. I make a pot of regular and my wife uses the single use pods daily. It’s so easy to use and clean.

    I love this coffee pot. I can make a full pot or coffee or a single cup using either ground coffee or a pod. I have been using this model for 15 years or more. I am on my 3rd one. When this one goes out I will immediately order one just like it. It is also programable, so I always have coffee when I wake up.

    After running four or five K-cups through the Hamilton Beach coffee maker, problems occurred. The consumer help site made several suggestions on resolving K-cup problems which were followed, without any positive results. The seller provided no positive support. Would not buy again.

    We purchased our 1st machine just before Christmas last year and we’re quite happy with it until about 8 months later when the heating element for the kcup side went out. We worked with Hamilton Beach customer service through email (slow process!) and the team confirmed the unit was curtesy under warranty; we paid $14.99 for shipping and the replacement arrived, without notifications, within a week. We set it up last Saturday and we’re happy with it until Thursday when it would not brew a kcup. Although the brew button was flashing as though it was going to start brewing at any moment it never kicked in. After 3 wasted kcups I gave up. A couple hours later I unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in & viloà it started brewing. Only problems? It took 4 minutes (two times) to dribble water into the awaiting cup AND delivered nothing more than colored water from a fresh cup. I’m so over this machine & will not be paying another $14.99 in shipping for another replacement. Despite their best customer service efforts Hamilton Beach has failed us twice. Before you ask, yes, both pins are clog free and I’m using “approved” kcups.
