   Coffee’s brewed hot, but full carafe brews slowly. On the plus side, the panel does tell you how many cups are in the pot as it brews. Carafe’s warmer plate is limited to 2 hours, and you cannot re-start it. Pods and SS filter work as expected. Repositionable tank is a little tricky to change but workable. The way it brews, by ounce increments and pressure, in my opinion, this makes a better than average carafe brew. Best feature is the intuitive programming buttons. Easy operation. If you have a small space, it’s also handy to have the pod pot and carafe pot integrated together, so that it can be angled to reach both brewing types. In my case, it had to fit in a nook rather than on a countertop, and finding a two in one unit for that space was a trick. I took one star for the warmer and the repositionable tank setup, since the instructions we’re immediately clear or locatable on unpacking.

   I thought this was going to be a less expensive option to replace a 3-year old Keurig K-Duo machine, however it has so many issues. The brewing is so loud and creates so much steam. If you have under a wood cabinet it will ruin it. Only brews 9.5 cups for a carafe but uses the entire reservoir of water. K cup option is inconsistent, sometimes a good cup and sometimes has many grounds, sometimes very weak/watery. Very disappointing as I always thought this brand was a good one. I’m trying customer service but will end up returning.

   I had an older version of this model several years ago and I loved it. I really like the ease of setting the clock and delayed brew timer. What is really cool is that there is one water reservoir for the carafe as well as the single cup brewer. Since I don’t pour water in every morning to brew a carafe, I do have to check to make sure there is water in the reservoir. I think the way the water reservoir sits at the back of the machine is really cool and it can be repositioned to sit on the right. The carafe and keeps warm unit is tucked away on the left side of the machine so when you look at the machine straight on, it looks like a single serve maker. It takes getting used to locating the carafe on the side but it looks really sleek on my counter. I am thrilled with my purchase! Thank you Hamilton Beach for redesigning this good old product and making it into an updated, easy to drive coffeemaker!

   The first time I used it, I put a K-cup in it and had a catastrophic failure; the K-cup exploded. I was using a K-cup from a pack of 120, and I have 17 left, so I tried again. Again, I had a catastrophic explosion in the coffee pot, which took me half an hour to clean up. I do not trust this coffee maker. Do not recommend.

   22 Nov 2024. The HB Flex Brew 5-in-1 I ordered 2 days ago was delivered today 22 Nov 2024. After inspecting all parts, cleaning the parts as directed, I set up the coffee maker. The first issue I found was the inability/difficulty in moving the water tank from the back of the machine to the side of the machine. I’m unable to remove the space saver on the side to facilitate having tank on the side of the machine. I set the machine to brew 12 cups using the pot. Despite the tank being filled to the 60oz maximum, the machine only brewed 10 cups. I then set the machine to brew a 12 oz cup of coffee using a coffee pod. The machine didn’t brew the 12 ozs with a continuous stream, but in 3 oz increments with long pauses in between each of the 3ozs. I then brewed a 12oz cup using the single-serve insert with no coffee, and using only water and had no issues. One last observation. While the machine is brewing, there is a lot of steam emanating from the top of the machine and causing the cabinet over the machine to sweat. Over time this will damage the cabinet. If the functionality does not improve, I will return the machine. I will submit a followup comment with a recommendation to buy or not buy.

   The good: • Large easy to fill water reservoir. • Bold flavor setting. • 5 ways to brew. • Fast brewing. • Easy to use control panel. • Carafe is hidden out of the way. • Lots of features with a small footprint. The not so good: • There is no 4oz or 6oz single serve setting. (There is a manual work around for this issue.) With the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee maker, I can make coffee exactly the way I like it. The perfect brew for me is two tablespoons of coffee per 6oz of water and the bold setting selected. It is easy to accomplish this using the carafe, but the single serve does not have a 6oz setting. It is nice that the control panel shows how many ounces of water have been brewed so I can simply stop the single server brewing at 6oz. This method works great, and I really don’t mind watching it brew my coffee because it takes less than two minutes when using the single serve settings. The cup markings on the carafe are 6oz cups. The settings for the number of cups to brew is perfectly accurate so I can make coffee that tastes the same every time. I have been using reusable K-cup baskets with a paper filters for years and I can still use the same setup with this Hamilton Beach coffee maker. The included single serve ground coffee basket works great, and they are reasonably priced so having a few on hand is not expensive. Switching the water tank from the back to the side is easy enough but the instructions should say there are no tools required. It does look like two screws are holding it together, but they do not need to be removed to move the water tank. The instruction manual can be downloaded from the Hamilton Beach website. I appreciate not having to hang on to the paper copy. Overall, this is nice coffee maker. It certainly does what I need it to do for good tasting coffee.

    We have been RVing for over 40 years. We try to find products that work will and save space in our RV. This coffee maker is fantastic. It saves space, keeps the coffee hot and I like the option for brewing it BOLD. Looking for space saver products, at one time we had a Black & Decker, under the counter Spacesaver. B&D does not make that unit anymore. That is a pitty. But people will sell “used” ones for $150 to $200. This Hamilton Beach Flex brew has more to offer and is ar an affordable price. If you are reading comments for guidance, I feel you will be pleasantly surprised to the Rich Bold teast of your coffee.

    I absolutely love this coffee pot! Firstly, the water tank is movable, we moved it from the back of the machine to the side because it’s easier to fill for us there. Secondly, you can use K-Cups, or individually brew ground coffee using their small filter in 6,8,10, 12 ounce increments. Lastly, we can make a whole pot when needed. It literally makes me happy every time is use it.

    We used this brand of coffee at a VRBO and had to have it. I love the slim design of the coffee maker and was able to replace a traditional drip coffee maker and Keurig with this all in one product. The brew time is a little slower, but for a great tasting cup of coffee it is absolutely worth the wait. This makes a much better tasting pot of coffee than my traditional drip coffee maker. I believe it has to do with the speed, but can’t confirm. I just know it is a great cup of coffee. The K-cup section also works and is reasonable fast. You can make up to a 14 oz cup of coffee. The water canister is pre-installed on the back but we found that it was kind of a pain to refill so we were easily able to switch it to the side of the coffee maker and it is now much more accessible and easier to fill. It was a piece of cake to switch, just don’t try like I did to remove any screws. Everything just un-clicks and moves appropriately. No tools necessary!
    I saw other all-in-one coffee makers that were double and triple the cost, but feel this is reasonably priced and a great value for your money! Time for the upgrade to an all in one and regain some of that counter space back!

    This FlexBrew Advanced 5-in-1 coffee coffee maker is what I call an upgrade! It is sleek,has a smaller profile, easy to operate & the coffee tastes great. It actually slows down/stops while brewing to soak-in the coffee grounds! Something I did manually when making coffee. The style threw us right into the 22nd Century lol 😁 maybe with a remote control and a coffee reservoir 😱 Another upgrade is that the Pod side pin does not collect as much coffee grounds because when I ran a clear water cycle after making coffee, there were no grounds in the mug. The only downgrade is that the drip tray no longer houses the reusable coffee filter but I now store it in the brew basket where it sits/stores perfectly well. WATER RESERVOIR CHANGE: To reposition the Reservoir base is very easy but the visual screws will throw you off guard completely. Thanks to the coffeemakers.us.com Hamilton customers that answered my questions. DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREWS! just pull up and move over. It’s tight but does move, be careful not to pull apart from the water supply line. (follow the guide instructions) NO TOOL IS NEEDED.

    We have had the flexbrew coffee maker for a little over 2 months now. The concept is good but the pod design is awful. Because it doesn’t have the normal drip hole in the middle of the pod area it gets clogged quite often and then we have coffee all over the place because the liquid can’t get through the spout. And there is no easy way to clean it because it does not lift out. I would not recommend this coffee maker at all. If it weren’t past the return date I would definitely return it because we spent a lot of money on this. I think the issue is the removable pod holder has the hole in the middle but the lower part has the hole in the front (as shown in the pictures).

    I’ve been a Keurig customer for years, but after having to replace the machine every 2 years or less, I decided to give another brand a try. My main reasons for purchasing this Hamilton Beach 5 in 1? The versatility, sleek space saving design, and the reviews. I love that I can use k-cups or brew a full pot!! The water reservoir is slim, but holds up to 12 cups/60 oz. The water reservoir can be changed to use it on the side or the back of the machine, depending on your space, and no tools are required. Just follow the steps. It takes about 2 minutes or less to brew a k-cup, either hot or iced, and the coffee is good! You can select regular or bold brew and you can brew up to 14 ounces!! The carafe is tucked away on the side, it brews a full pot in maybe 15-20 minutes, it’s hot, and the warmer stays on for 2 hours after the brew cycle with an automatic shut off. Coffee can be regular or bold brew and it has a programmable timer to be ready when you wake up. Again, the coffee is GOOD!! The design is space saving genius, the display face shows the time, and is pretty easy to navigate yourself or read the directions which are easy to follow and understand. The needles to poke through the k-cups are slightly larger than the Keurig’s I’ve owned but I’ve had no issues with unwanted coffee grounds, outside of the norm. Now to the thing that took away a star… the cup holder plate thing. I don’t like it. It doesn’t snap in, it just sits there which feels sort of clumsy. I like bigger, rounder cups and they don’t feel secure sitting on the holder. The larger cups will fit on it, but I personally think a larger base with a snap in/out feature would be wise and definitely earn its 5 star glory. You get a great looking coffee maker perfect for small spaces with the versatility and functionality many coffee drinkers need at a very reasonable price point. I’m so happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend!! I did buy the extended warranty, but this also comes with a manufacturer’s limited warranty too. I find it doesn’t hurt to spend a few extra bucks up front to cover the whole thing for (hopefully) years to come.

    This Hamilton Beach Flex Brew 5-in-1 coffee maker is really nice. Single brew Iced or Hot (K-Cup pod or coffee grounds), 12 cup coffee pot for multiple servings, all in one unit. We were able to remove 2 coffee maker off of the counter and replace it with this single unit to optimize our counter space. And it works great! A great water reservoir makes it nice and convenient as well. It’s also amazing you have options for how to attach the water reservoir to help optimize counter space. The function pad is also amazing. I can’t say enough out this coffee maker and I highly recommend it.

    I bought this from another seller but the product isn’t worth the headache. I got my 1st cup of coffee out of it with no problems, for my 2nd cup I spent about an hour trying to figure out why the thing would pour about an ounce of coffee and then stop, saying it’s out of water, even though the reservoir was full. So I had to spend another hour worth of troubleshooting & finally got it to work only to have to repeat the process for cup number three. I didn’t buy this from coffeemakers.us.com, but I figured everyone should know about this product The reason I’m on coffeemakers.us.com is to buy a different one.

    This coffee pot has been a lifesaving addition to my kitchen. I am a little spoiled now over my old Mr. Coffee. It accepts both grounds and pods making it versatile for different tastes. Their reply was automated and noted the response time would be up to a week. It has been over 2 weeks and still no response! I am going back to my Kuerig. They have live people to talk to and have awesome customer service.
