We were so excited to get this coffee maker. While we do have a Keurig, we prefer the taste from good the perk coffee makers. So we were disappointed when we noticed the crack near the burner plate. For the money we would expect it to come in perfect working order. We have used it a couple of times and the crack seems to be cosmetic for now but I am very concerned about how long it will last before it stops, or worse if it burns up.

Excellent coffee maker. Makes the best coffee. Super hot, slow drip for strong flavourful coffee. The buttons are easy to use and convenient. I can be in another room and hear the done beeps, getting the coffee exact time when finished brewing. You can make 4-12 delicious cups. After two hours the coffee maker will beep and turn off. This is also a great feature. You can override this and turn it off anytime. It has a water filter inside, but we are on a well so we just remove it and do not use this filter. It is also very good looking. Highly recommend this machine!

This is the most poorly designed coffee maker. The water tank is so awkwardly small and split. It makes filling it obnoxious. To pour the last of the coffee from the carafe you have to turn it upside down and steam burns your hand. And the words on the buttons are great in a stainless steel front so I have to bend down and get like a foot away to read it( I can clearly read the same size font on other things.) And the price for such a crap coffee maker is ridiculous. I bought a mr. Coffee for $22 and it does the exact same thing.

This coffee maker has a beautiful appearance on my counter. I wanted something white and bright. It has all the necessary functions for setting, scheduling, alerting, filtering, cleaning, warming and quick cup. I’ve had it about a month now and I like it more every day. I especially like that it has an adequate beep when brewing has finished since I am usually getting dressed and not in the room. It also beeps again when the keep warm heater is turning off, so you can grab that last cup before it goes cold. The mesh filter is a great money saver and easy to use and clean. This is easily the nicest coffee maker I’ve ever seen or owned.

Decided to go with a Red Coffeepot after Mr. Coffee bit the dust. My wife doesn’t care about coffee, but matching appliances is a must (see photo). This is the best coffee maker we’ve bought in ages. The carafe does not drip at all when you pour – a huge plus! I love that it comes with a reusable filter – no more paper filters. It’s solidly built and feels like a quality machine when using it. The bottom has rubber feet to prevent it from slipping, which is a little annoying because we have to slide it out from under the counter to fill it every day. This means we have to pick it up instead of slide. But it’s not enough of a drawback to dissuade me from recommending it.

We loved it so much that, when we thought it broke after 3 months we ordered the same exact one thinking we must have gotten a lemon… only to find out that once we got the new one all set up, it was our outlet that was broken, not the machine. So now we have two of them and don’t regret the extra purchase at all.

First off I am a huge fan of probably anything Kenmore makes. This Coffee Pot is no exception! This pot is of high quality design and function. It has a wide mouth pouring spout and a larger handle than most other carafes. It has a beeping trigger that alerts you when coffee is ready and when the heating element shuts off in case you want to turn back on to reheat. The only dislike I have is that the Caution info is printed on the actual pot distracting from the beauty of the pot. I find that to be unnecessary to be posted there which is printed in English and French. I am surprised the designers did that.

Background: my old top-rated coffee maker finally died and I had to replace it. Tried a top-rated and spendy Cuisinart first– good ergonomics, mediocre coffee (bland and bodiless). Next went to the “best buy” rated Black & Decker– a litter better but the same thing. Decided to take a chance on this one before just using pour-over on weekdays too, which is less convenient. Everyone is right about the two main flaws in this Kenwood. It is very difficult to fill because of the way the openings are situated plus the design of the carafe. Snap-off the carafe’s lid and it’s easier, or you can use a large measuring cup instead. It’s clumsy but manageable. And, the “coffee ready” beep is REALLY loud. I can hear it halfway across the house. First morning my wife thought a smoke detector was running low when she heard it. We shut the bedroom door when we use it. I wish it had a disable switch. All that aside, this thing makes very good coffee! Which, when you think of it, is its primary function. And it’s right between the low-end $30ish range and the start of the pricey ones at $80-100. Plus, the white looks great in our kitchen. This one is a keeper, flaws and all. This would have been a five-star review for flavor and value if not for the two issues mentioned

I’m guilty of an early review. Only had it for use this week but I have some comments. I thought it was a near duplicate of the Cuisinart and I believe I’m right. Most likely made by the same folks. But there are differences. I have a couple gripes. Number one, the coffee pot does not want to seat properly. You have to jiggle it around until it finally plops into position. This could lead to trouble down the road if you think you have seated it when you have not. And as others have said, it wiggles on its four feet. Absolutely no reason they could not put a taller foot on the wiggly side. Just careless QC. See many complaints about the loud tone when it is done is one of the reasons I purchased it. It’s just loud enough. If you are awakened by it, you need a bigger house. Finally, I choose to use both the permanent or reusable gold filter and a paper filter. I’m afraid this unit for some reason doesn’t like that arrangement. After it is done if you lift the lid you will find water still pouring through the grains so you need to wait a few minutes before pouring. Not a big deal. And I would prefer that the top came off of the pot. All in all I think it’s a reasonable way to save several dollars over the Cuisinart. But I must say, the primary reason I did not buy my third Cuisinart was too many complaints about leakage. I did not see that complaint for this Kenmore product. If it lasts 3 or 4 years I will be more than happy.

We really like the coffee maker. We use it for making cacao. The coffee pot has always leaked since we have had it. It leaks really bad when we are pouring into the mugs. I didn’t know why it was doing it until I saw the plastic ring with the pour spout separating from the glass pot. It is getting worse with time. I don’t have the box to send it back plus we bought it in June 2024. Kenmore is lacking in quality control. We hand wash the pot so putting it in the dishwasher isn’t the reason it is separating. Just poor manufacturing.

So far, so good. Had this for a week. Use it every day; no bells or whistles. Simple to operate and the coffee is good. The loud beep in the morning when the brew cycle is complete hasn’t disturbed anyone yet. The machine has not exploded or caught fire (see other reviews) and there is no plastic taste at all.

Looks great on the counter in my white kitchen and makes great coffee. I love the #4 cone filters this unit uses rather than the pleated basket filters typically found on 12 cup coffee makers. Be warned however, that when it is done brewing the coffee it sounds off with an extremely loud notifier. Late sleepers in the house may find this annoying, my wife certainly did. The horn is through hole soldered onto a circuit board behind the top brushed aluminum trim, same circuit board as the buttons and display. It easy enough to dissemble to access the board to de-solder and remove the horn. I didn’t need the horn since I can tell the coffee is ready by looking at the clear glass carafe.

I just literally bought this coffee maker July 26 and clean it weekly with vinegar. I happened to notice what I thought was a coffee stain to actually be RUST. I’m furious. That little metal tab is some sort of clasp that only has a coat of some sort of paint. I have emailed the support and and am awaiting a response. This coffee maker is unnecessarily loud when it’s done brewing and on the shut off. Water gets trapped in the handle of the actual pot so when you pour water in the maker it runs all over the place. White was also a bad choice or the material used to make this was low grade as it stains easily and can only be cleaned with Clorox clean up to get the stains out. I won’t change my rating because this is a serious issue but will update when they respond.

This coffeemaker has all the features that I was looking for: full 12-cup capacity but with a small-batch setting, the ability to pause the brew to pour a cup, automatic shutoff in case I forget to turn it off, a permanent filter but with the option to use paper filters. It has other features that I will seldom if ever use but that might be important to other shoppers. And it gets big bonus points from me for being RED. Fun addition to my red kitchen! The one downside for me is the piercingly loud beeps when I plug it in and when it finishes a brew cycle. A sound about half that loud would be perfectly adequate. It’s annoying but not a dealbreaker for me. This is the first Kenmore coffeemaker that I’ve ever tried so I don’t know how it will be long term but I hope it lasts a long time because so far it’s my favorite coffeemaker that I’ve owned.
