   When my Keurig Cafe stopped working, I started using my faithful standby a Melitta drip cup which worked fine, but I missed the auto brew for pre-work mornings. The color caught my eye and combined with a sale, I hit send! It is a beautiful color indeed, but boy is the brew cycle loud. If you like a peaceful start to your morning, and enjoy making that first cup of coffee, this brewer is a rude wake-up! It really sounds like a cheap brand and I am really disappointed with how it sounds. I do hope that the sound is not indicative of how long it will last. I also have an older model at the office and it’s lasted over 5 years. Neither of my earlier models sounded like this. It really took me by surprise!

   We have a Ninja but my hubby cannot make a pot of coffee without the grounds exploding everywhere. Some days he made mud and other times it was like weak and week old flavour. I had bought a Keurig from Walmart but it was drippy and small. So I bit the bullet and ordered a small Keurig to fit my needs. It is so much better than the volcano Ninja. I tried a coffeemakers.us.com pod but it was small and .33 0z. My sister said to get original Dunkin and the pods are much larger .35 and the coffee is flavorful now. I am just sitting down and enjoying a cuppa. We also got Monk sweetener which is much nicer than the equal I have been using. This Keurig is a turquoise color which makes me love it more. It holds about 3-4 small cups of water, easy to fill – I pour the Brita water in right where the water tank is. I am klutzy and the thought of a quart of water dumped out to the floor – nope. The controls are simple on this unit. turn on, wait for the blue flashing cup sizes and press the one you want. What I dont like is that the cup sizes of coffee are Hobbit sized. The small cup made about 1/4 a mug. I tried the medium size and get about 1/3 a cup. I will need to try the large and see if it can make a almost normal size mug. I have been using smaller skinnier mugs so at least it looks like I am getting a cup. Now when I ask various Keurig cup friends, they all tell me run it thru 2x or press the big then press the small. I just want a mug of Joe, not a physics lesson. I am happy that each cup of whatever size I choose will taste the same, and that to me is relief. There is no washing the pot no emptying grounds and washing THAT filter thing. Keurig made my life just a little better and easier. Go for the name brands here, Keurig, and a good brand of coffee but check the ounces in the pods.

   I replaced my 10 yr old Keurig because it started making a noise and I thought it was going out. This new one makes a louder noise so if that will bother you, beware. There’s no filter. It brews faster than my old one. It’s easy to use. Gets the job done. Coffee tastes great. I also noticed my countertop vibrates while using. Seems durable enough. Hasn’t shut off yet so unsure about the “auto shut off”.

   Update: Despite loving this coffee maker, I am returning it for what is probably a rare reason. It triggers my asthma. It took me a lot of time to find the cause of the asthma attacks. I looked at my purchases from the time when the attacks started. At first I thought it was a prescription eye drop I use. I picked it up from the pharmacy the day the attacks started, but it was an Rx I’ve used for months with no ill-effects. I experimented with the Rx: I took it and found the attacks continued. I stopped using it and the attacks continued. My doctor put me on a Prednisone burst for 5 days and I had no attacks on those days. But as soon as the burst ran out, the attacks started again. Then a couple days ago I checked my coffeemakers.us.com purchases. Turns out I received the coffee maker on the day the attacks started. Yesterday I made coffee in my Mr. Coffee and there was no attack. Ditto for today. I Googled, looking to see if others have had Keurig’s that triggered attacks. Mostly, what I found was that it was possible because hot water interacting with the plastic and foil in K cups might activate chemicals, or there could be mold in the Keurig. I doubt there’s mold in the one I bought because it showed no sign of having been used. I know nothing about chemistry, so I can’t really weigh in on whether the potential interaction with plastic and foil is true or false. I just know that since I stopped using the Keurig, the asthma has stopped. I’m leaving the five stars from my original review because the Keurig is so pretty, so much fun to use, and so solidly built — and I think my issue is probably extremely rare. Just one more thing: when Googling the issue, I got a lot of links that warned about mold forming and the need for regular cleaning. Passing that along because when I bought the Keurig I saw nothing about mold — just the info that regular descaling is necessary. Original review: I have a lot of green and turquoise/teal in my kitchen but black seemed like the safer choice. To settle the matter, i ordered both colors. In the end, I chose the turquoise one because it’s so cheerful-looking. I’m giving the black one to a friend. By the way, my choice surprised me. The black one arrived a day before the turquoise one and I was quite happy with it. Almost decided to just return the turquoise one without opening it. But curiosity won out and I’m glad it did because the difference is dramatic and the choice is a lot more fun. For k cups, I ordered what has been my everyday coffee for many years: Folger’s Colombian medium. Tastes exactly the same as what I had been making in my Mr. Coffee. I had worried needlessly that the k cup wouldn’t brew to my preference, but it did in the medium-size mug setting.

   Takes time to heat the water. My last Keurig didn’t have to do that that’s a slight inconvenience in the mornings before work. It’s louder than my last one as well. Hopefully it lasts longer tho. It does what I need it to. There is room for a 20 Oz mug to fit so that’s really nice.

   Ran a first cup of just water fine, then when I put a coffee pod in it all I got were drips until I just turned it off (video and picture 1). Researching online suggested cleaning the lower needle (though a brand new machine shouldn’t need that). After that I ran hot chocolate through it fine, but when I tried actual coffee the next day it was completely full of grounds (picture 2). Before the pic I had already cleaned up everything I could that was floating at the top, in hopes that it was just that. Then I scooped up just some liquid, not touching the sides of the cup, and still saw all of those grounds in it. I didn’t have my camera on me when I dumped it, but there was so much more at the bottom of the cup. I’ve bought this model before (in-store) and had no issues, and I’m hoping to get a replacement after my return goes through if it’s still on sale.

    This Keruig is very compact where the water reserved is in the back and that the size dimensions make it spacious for kitchen counter so that it can be added to other appliances to fit on kitchen counter. Before use note: always put water in the amount on the reserve at the line that is provided If not Keruig will not start up. The Keruig is a very smart coffee maker. If you’re thinking to purchase it, it’s worth it. It also comes in different colors in this model. Works the same as the original Keruig. ☕️

    Ive been saving up, specifically for a new Keurig (dropped my K-Duo while packing) and just purchased this 2 months ago (Nov or Dec 2023). Just a few into this new Keurig, it made an unfamiliar noise and hesitated at the start of the brew. It drip drip dribbled 1/4 cup and continued on to a full brew. I thought, hmmm…must be “breaking in” period of the new machine. Had issues a couple brews later as well and thought it to be odd. Then, as my grandson finished brewing me a cup, he alerted me that it was making a weird noise at the end of cycle. It’s brewed with hesitation the last few brews. Unfortunately, I’ve been in and out of the hospital quite often in the past 6-9 wks with 4 -10+ day’s stays at each admission. That being said, this machine has gone unused in this time and sadly, the 30 day return window has passed. I ordered my coffee pods ahead of time and had my son stop by the market to get my Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer (it’s like dessert in a cup!). If you’re a coffee lover, there’s nothing like a good cup of coffee!! I get home, greet my furkids and brewed a nice cup of coffee. Let me tell you, it was mighty GOOD!! Get up today, greet my furkids and go to brew a cup of coffee and sadly, nothing but noise and a few drips. After numerous brew attempts, unplugging it, reseating the water tank, the brews were all unsuccessful. I try 3 hrs later and finally brewed a cup. Now, it’s a worthless 2 month old useless Keurig. This is my 3rd Keurig since they’ve come out and I am so disappointed with this model. I purchased a second one on or around 12/10/23 as a gift for my sister. We didn’t see each other until 2 weeks ago and sadly, she is experiencing the same problem and this is just her 2nd week of using hers. Keurig, I believe that you may have a design flaw here. I hope you make this right with myself and other buyers whom may be experiencing the same issues.

    I love this little Keurig. It’s jut like the bigger one. It heats up quickly and you get a great cup of coffee. The water reservoir holds about 2 1/2 larger cups. Much bigger than I was expecting due to the size of it. Highly recommended

    It’s perfect and I can’t wait to use it. I had a Keurig for many years and it was huge and took up a huge amount of space on my small kitchen counter. When I shopped, all the ones I could find were too small. I would always be putting water in them. When I saw this was compact and had a larger water storage, why not check it out? I have a small section that is only 10″ wide, which is the perfect size for this pot.

    This machine makes a hot cup of coffee, yes, but not true to sizes listed. Unless you push the button for the largest size, you won’t get much of a cup. Also, quite a large machine, and takes up a lot of space on the counter, and doesn’t fit under cabinets. Would’ve returned, but husband threw out the box. So, dealing with it 🙄

    I gave this one 3 stars for 2 reasons: the coffee is not instantly brewed takes a couple minutes to warm up and the reservoir holds enough for only 3 cups of 10 oz coffee. I feel like I am constantly refilling it. The product is kind of cheaper plastic – I did buy this on sale for $49 but it’s Not as sturdy as my last one.     This Keurig is perfect for where I need it. I like the fact that the water reservoir is on the back of the unit instead of the side. I use purified water (by reverse osmosis) to brew so I don’t plan to use any filters, which are sold separately, by the way. If you don’t use purified water, then I strongly suggest purchasing the filters & filter holders because non purified water will damage your machine over time.

    I have had it for about a month and I really like my Keurig K-Compact Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker. I also purchased the refillable pods. I would never, never have bought it to use with the single-use pods because they add to landfills and are not recyclable. But using it with the GoodCups 4 Reusable K Cups I have great coffee without harming the environment. I use my Keurig for coffee and hot water for tea. It is quick. Warms up in seconds and then coffee in less than a minute. It brews 6, 8, or 10 oz. sizes and for larger I just do two 8 oz brews in a row. The grey color is as expected. The unit is a nice size and doesn’t take up much counter space. My only wish is that it came in white because I think it would look better in my kitchen.
