Bill and Chris Verified Buyer –
My experience with Krups coffeemakers goes back over 20 years. I have found them in the past to brew delicious coffee and provide years of service. No longer. In September 2012, I bought the FMF5 was a replacement for another Krups machine that lasted not quite 3 years which seemed short for a Krups but I liked the hot brewing temperature and the thermal carafe. It worked for 3 months, then stopped altogether. The electronic display indicated that the water reservoir was empty and would not click into the brew cycle. I sent back to Krups for a warranty repair. I waited several weeks and the pot appeared back and supposedly repaired. Something was still wrong. The pot would get through a first brew and then the electronic display would click on-off-on-off and would not allow another cycle for awhile. Eventually it would sort itself out and brew again, a delicious pot that kept me hoping it was fixed until the next time it freaked out. This is not a dependable pot. And to make matters worse the customer service is indifferent and as unreliable as the substandard machines they are making these days. I would stay away from Krups
