   The “La Reveuse Programmable Drip Coffee Maker with Burr Grinder, 2-Way Brewing, 12 Cups, Black & Stainless Steel” looks impressive. While I really like its aesthetic, it unfortunately has too many flaws to overlook. The heating plate turns off and fails to keep the coffee warm, and the coffee grinder frequently jams. I’ve owned several electric coffee grinders and have never experienced one that jams before. The concept is fantastic and makes a great cup of coffee when it works, but given the price point, I believe better options are available.

   Quit grinding took it apart and it won’t work now. Put it back together but the grinding mechanism does not lock in place

   Making coffee should not be this difficult. When it arrived the coffee pot came in 3 boxes, coffeemakers.us.com box, manufacturing box and maker box. The contents included a glass pot, reusable filter, filter, spoon and a brush. No instructions. This machines is not self explanatory and because it is too new to the market there is not enough info out there on the “how to”. It took me a while to figure it out and even then it was still hard to grind the coffee. It stopped grinding, adjusted the settings, the qty and nothing. It sounds like it is but it is not. I made sure that there wasn’t anything stuck but nothing at all Quite honestly it was very frustrating. I wanted to replace my old one with this one but after a few weeks of trying it, I am very glad I kept my old one.

   this has worked great for me so far. I’ve only been using pre ground coffee so I haven’t tried out the bean grinder function yet.

   The coffee is delicious. The warming plate does not work at all, so you either need to drink the whole pot immediately or have a separate warming mechanism. Also, the grinder got clogged within a couple weeks of use. I had to dislodge beans with a screw driver and it was not easy to get to. I’ve had this thing less than a month, so hopefully this isn’t a regular occurrence. Also, what is the on/off button for? It doesn’t seem to do anything. I’m not overly thrilled with this purchase…but the coffee is delicious.

   I’ve been using this a few days and, while it has all the features you would want in a coffee maker and is very easy to understand and use producing excellent tasting coffee, it does have some problems and a major oversight.

   The heating plate does not have a hold warm option, once the brew cycle completes you are on a time limit to drink that carafe of coffee lest it get cold. I’ve never seen this before in a coffee maker myself so, that confused me on my first brew. I also found I had to unclog the grinder after about my fourth brew, not something I expected to have to do so quickly.

   It just seems in terms of value for money, you can get a better unit elsewhere for less but, if they address these issues on the manufacture and design side, it could be a great unit.

   Sadly I did not fire this up within the return window. This is a very large coffee maker. The product box, inside an undamaged coffeemakers.us.com box, was seriously damaged and water ran out the bottom when it was added. I found a small broken piece of plastic that appears to be the culprit. But there is no option to return so I assume the return window was only 30 days. It appears to have many great functions. It is very large, so measure your space before ordering. If you have concerns, address them quickly.
