The machine itself is good. For the price, probably the best you will find. But the instructions are better suited to keeping on a roll in the bathroom than assisting you in using this machine. I’ll get the offensive surprise bit out of the way so we can get on with the business of talking about coffee. I brought the machine over to my sister’s house for brunch to try it out. One of the people present for this inaugural brewing was my brother-in-law, a spectacularly intelligent man who also happens to have physical disabilities. The disabled community doesn’t need permission to make coffee, they are as individuals perfectly qualified to decide for themselves whether or not they are comfortable using an appliance. One of the 20 minutes we spent was spent staring at each other in disbelief that they actually printed “this coffee maker can be used by physically disabled people if they are under close supervision” in the instruction manual. Just… no. So, back to the machine itself. Both the Quick Start guide and the instruction manual leave out ONE VERY CRUCIAL piece of information. The Quick Start guide has an arrow pointing to a rubber plug. Okay, you as the owner of this machine are now aware that a rubber plug exists. Lovely. What the Quick Start guide and the entire instruction manual FAIL to mention is that plug is not there to make anything watertight or assist in cleaning or anything of that nature, that rubber plug needs to be REMOVED before the machine will function. That information is only located on a sticker, stuck to part of the machine you can’t see unless you turn it upside-down and go hunting for it. So be sure to remove the rubber plug before you do anything else. Operation from that point on was pretty straightforward. The resulting espresso was good. The steaming wand is far more effective at steaming than frothing; I used to manage a coffee shop so I know the technique, this just doesn’t do froth as well as other machines. You can get a decent soft foam, but nothing near the stiff peaks I’ve gotten with other home machines. In the photo, the top cup is from this machine, the bottom from a Ninja machine with a frothing attachment. The color is gorgeous. All of the pieces except the plastic tamper feel solid and are easy to clean. Really wish the product information has specified what size tamper is compatible with this machine so I could have ordered one before now, but for anyone who’s interested, it takes a 53mm. All in all, this will be a welcome addition to the kitchen of any coffee drinker. But that instruction manual could reeeally use some work.

You could only put 1 scoop of grounds at a time in the machine. We were used to 3. So we had to run it 3 times and the coffee is very wet so we don’t have have a way to get it out without digging. Big mess. Otherwise it was easy to use and the water tank was really convenient

I’m going to start out by saying that machine had water in it upon removing it from the box. I’m not sure if this means it’s used/returned/refurbished. Perhaps that means it underwent some kind of QC testing. I’m really unsure. Anyway, this machine seems to be a bit finicky for me. I tried for 30 minutes this morning to pour a double espresso. The machine would just sit there and vibrate across the bar, knocking the espresso glasses off it, and not pouring. I finally gave up and went and bought coffee. I decided to try again a few hours later. This time I pressed the button and it poured as it should. The steam wand seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. I need not to turn the dial to the steam mode but it still turns on and works. The water reservoir holds a great amount of water. Definitely more than you would ever need in a day. The color and look of this machine is stunning. It’s retro and a beautiful shade of green. It really stands out. The machine is quite loud and vibrates a good bit. We joked and said it sounds like the low tone of a cargo ship horn. But, it’s true. Overall, this is a decent machine. Perhaps I got a returned/refurbished unit and that’s why it has these quirks.

This is a great little espresso machine! For the most part, it is really easy to use. Even for a beginner. The instruction manual helped a lot. Especially when I couldn’t understand why the espresso function wasn’t working after steaming the milk. It also comes with a small book of recipes to help start out making your own coffee house style drinks. The machine looks very streamlined and beautiful on the countertop. It isn’t the quietest, less messy, or easiest to clean, but it sure does look fancy! The water reservoir holds plenty of water for several coffees plus frothed and steamed milk. And it produces a very tasty cup of espresso. I’m really enjoying using this machine as a fancier addition to my caffeine routine.

I have purchased this item as a Xmas gift for my girlfriend and was very excited about it. It was delivered used with coffee drops stains all over, coffee residues in the filters and just in a nasty state. It has been such a disappointing experience as, I’m all the way in Costa Rica and had to pay more than $80 for this to be delivered to me, the only resolution was to return which will refund me only partially as the shipping I payed will not be included. Would never recommend. This is beyond wrong.

I had a tough time getting the machine started because there was a rubber stopper on the water tank that I forgot to remove! But after I removed it, it has been smooth sailing. I bought an espresso machine before this and it was terrible, and compared to this espresso machine not even an espresso machine. The espresso that it makes is strong, a little bit foamy, and it is so easy to make. I couldn’t have asked for better. Now I can stop spending $5 a day on a caramel latte.

It is very difficult to remove the “funnel” (grounds cup) from its holder. You have to position it just right by hand for it to drop out. If you want to brew again right away you’ll have to be careful when removing the old grounds. EDIT: the cup has a sharp point on the protrusion that keeps if from coming out of the holder – just file the tip this point to round it and the cup will come out more easily.
The other brand machine similar to this didn’t require draining water before brewing or steaming, which is an extra step requiring a extra container
It works well, just be aware of the above. One feature I like is that the brew dispenses pre-measured amounts of water – the double shot is perfect.

You can really spend a lot of money in this space. Though I don’t own a $700-$1,300 machine, I have had coffee from them and what this produces taste just as fabulous as what I’ve had from them. A lot of thought went into this from the packaging to the design, look and function. This was well thought out and the end result left me wanting nothing more. The slim profile was perfect for my coffee bar. All the directions are well written, there is a coffee recipe booklet as well and there is even a removable tip chart on the side of the machine. I plan on keeping this there as I do not use this for everyday coffee. There is only four inches from the drip tray to the bottom of the portafilter so be sure to have cups that will fit in this space. You can easily remove the drip tray to add an inch and a quarter to this distance, but there will be drips and you really want that tray in place. While the frothing wand does a terrific job, I only use ours for milk. We use a separate frother for almond, soy and oat milk which cuts down on the prep time. This is a personal choice, again the steam wand does a terrific job if you don’t mind putting in the work. I could not be more pleased with this machine. It does a fantastic job and looks great while doing it…highly recommend.

I’ve long been a fan of cappuccino, and similar drinks. It wasn’t until recently that I decided I wanted to try making them at home, instead of spending $6 a pop at the place that rhymes with Car Trucks. I loved the packaging on this. Very fun box. Anyway, I decided to watch a few YouTube videos to see what I was getting into, and to find out what I needed. After a few videos, I felt fairly ready to take on a cup of cappuccino. When I picked this up, I also ordered a coffee grinder, a milk frothing pitcher( which you will need if making milk based drinks) and a tamper (the machine comes with a basic plastic one, but I upgraded) I followed the cleaning instructions in the manual, and I also gently hand washed all of the removable parts. I did a fine grind on the coffee and packed the filter and tampered down a double shot. My first cup out of the gate I foamed some milk, and then couldn’t figure out how to brew the coffee. What I didn’t realize was that if the single and double cup buttons are blinking, that means the machine is over temp from steaming and needs water released through the steam wand. Once you do the flush, it will let you know when you are good. I used a separate mug to do the flush. Then brewed the double shot onto some sweetener of choice and poured the milk into the mug. I only half knew what I was doing, and it still turned out amazing! I have since made quite a few of these over the past few days and it is really hard to mess this up. Based off videos I watched on YouTube, I am surprised a machine in this price range has the ability to make such a good crema. Overall though, my wife and I are very happy with this mint espresso machine. Easy enough for beginners to make a great cup of coffee!

I was looking for a small 20 bar espresso machine for home use when I cam across this one. Many of the inexpensive 20 bar machines generally look and operate the same. The reason why I ordered this one was because of the steaming wand. The thinner wands work better, in my experience, over the thicker ones with a cover on them. The machine is dead simple to setup. Pour some water into the tank, turn on, measure out ground coffee, insert portafilter, and hit the button. The portafilter is the normal pressurized variety. I have also added a bottomless portafilter which improves the flavor for me ($20 investment). As I said, the steam wand is great. Creates a beautiful foam and is easy to control. Note that the glass steam cups on top of the machine in my picture do not come with the machine. Also, the tamper pictured does not either. The machine does include a plastic measuring spoon with a tamper on the other end (it’s pictured behind my tamper in the photo). Great machine, no complaints. The coffee will be as good as your bean and grind…the machine won’t stand in your way to making great coffee.

It doesn’t take too much space, looks modern, and makes espresso great. However, the milk steamer makes a VERY LOUD NOISE when turned on! I have to wear ear plugs every time I use it (I’m not kidding).

The steamer wand also spills out water when it is first turned on and when it’s ready to be turned off. This dilutes the milk a lot and I’m not sure what I can do about it.

In addition, it does not make the milk foamy at all even when whole milk is used. The milk also gets stuck on the wand afterwards and I have to use a paper towel with soap and rub it off with force.

If I went to Italy I couldn’t get a better espresso I was amazed and shocked ,for this price We had a La pavoni commercial machine years ago in a restaurant we owned In every way ,this little machine performed beyond our expectations It’s made in china, I was not expecting this quality but I believe part of this machine,, is Italian made If you are not used to operating an espresso machine it might be tricky at first We have our own burr bean grinder and a purified water system in our home ( very essential for a good espresso) I bought the warranty ,just in case /was very skeptical but I love love love this machine / am very hard to please when it comes to coffee

Decent size machine for making espressos at home.Gives instructions and tips for Experienced and Novice users.I use a burr grinder at home for beans and usually do something strong like a mix of robusta beans and arabica.Overall the unit has performed flawlessly for my weekend pick me up,and it takes up minimal space,overall 4 stars just because it takes a little bit to warm water back up and its a heavy little guy for those on the smaller side so if you have to put this away every time you use it could be a hassle

This is so cute, I love the trendy retro vibe and color of this espresso ☕️ machine… It’s so compact , it’s great for apartments and small living spaces.. it’s very easy to use and even comes with a quick guide , in case you don’t want to read the whole instruction booklet .. It makes a decent cup of espresso ☕️ and has a steam wand for lattes and cappuccinos.. it works great and is fast to provide that beverage, the only drawback is the LOUD noise it makes when working, this would wake up the whole house… if you are trying to be quiet, this will not happen.. I have had many espresso makers from $30-$1300 machines and this is definitely the loudest I have ever had.. it vibrates the whole counter .. It’s easy to use – remember to remove the plug on the water tank before using and cycle it a few times before making the first cup .. easy to clean , the scoop functions as the tamper as well , it also has a 2 shot adapter.. so , if you don’t mind the noise, it’s a functional espresso machine ..

This is my first espresso maker and was excited to try it out! I unboxed the machine, set it up on my counter and primed/cleaned it as per the instructions. The color I got is an old school sea green that is really pretty and retro looking. Priming/cleaning is super simple and the instructions were pretty clear on that. After getting it ready I ground my coffee and made my first cup – delicious! Of course a lot depends on the water and beans you use, and used filtered water with Lavazza Espresso beans. The unit comes with a solid portafilter and two stainless steel filter baskets (1 Shot and 2 shot sizes). At first I didn’t realize you could remove the filters but all you do is line up the dot in the filter with the one on the portafilter (duh). It also comes with a coffee scoop with a plastic tamper to pack in the grounds – I wish the tamper was metal like the portafilter as it cheapens the look of everything else, but I guess I can always buy a nicer one. The whole process is super easy: fill the water tank, turn the unit on, pack your grinds in the size of your choice, connect the portafilter to the unit and hit the proper button (1 or 2 shots) then boom – out comes your shot(s)! Now, I haven’t yet actually made a cappuccino, since I prefer an espresso shot, but I did play with the steamer and it seems to work well. The one thing I will say is the unit itself is pretty light so you will have to use two hands when you load/unload the portafilter. I’ll update later when the girlfriends tries the steamer. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this is you don’t need a grinder in your unit and just need something that doesn’t take up much space. It’s a beautiful design that I love using. Additionally, they provide recipes and can hop on their website for more recipes and parts.
