   I was very excited at the proposition of reducing my trips to coffee shops by being able to make my own frozen coffee drinks at home. This product was a huge disappointment. I read all the instructions, went out and purchased the ingredients necessary to make a basic recipe from the “recipe book” which was included in the box, and set out to make a frappe.

   As soon as I turned it on, the contents exploded onto the countertop and wall. The lid to the pitcher had somehow come off slightly, despite the fact that I had carefully put it in the “lock” position. Assuming that somehow I had botched the instructions and that the mess was my fault, I tried again. And again. The lid somehow came off just enough to allow the contents to explode all over the counter each time. It is possible that I simply received a defective machine, but the experience was bad enough that I do not recommend purchasing this item in case it is a widespread defect. It was an extremely frustrating experience, and it is already boxed up to ship back to coffeemakers.us.com.

   I like this gadget. You can make hot water, hot coffee, ice coffee, blended ice anything, and also use the blender for food stuff. It looks sleek on the counter, and is slim so it doesnt take a lot of space. Use distilled water only, buy a gallon and it will last a long time. The only issue I am having right now is FOAM. It is making a massive amount of FOAMED coffee. I cant figure out if its the ingredients or the machine. I havent had any issues with it making a mess or it “jumping” around on the counter I read in some other reviews.

   I was so excited to be getting this machine because I am a huge fan of Starbuck’s Caramel Frappucinos, but not the price. So, I had high hopes that this would solve my price issue. So, I broke this thing open, washed the necessary parts, and immediately tried it out. At first I couldn’t get it to power on, which was my fault. You have got to have the lock on the bottom of the blender part lined up with the arrow on the bottom of the appliance. You won’t even see the power light if it’s not lined up properly. So, after looking back through the instructions, I realized my mistake and I was on my way. I followed the Caramel Cappuccino Frappe recipe in the book provided and I was so pleased with the outcome. It calls for butterscotch-caramel dessert topping (pictured above), which I couldn’t initially find, so I used Smucker’s caramel topping and that worked great too. It also called for dark roast coffee or espresso, but I just used regular Folgers because I’m not a fan of super strong coffee. This was so delicious! I am NEVER going back to Starbucks and paying almost five dollars for a frappe again. I even put the drink in my Starbuck’s tumbler (pictured above) that I purchased from the store. This appliance blends the ice even better than Starbucks. It is just amazing. My husband couldn’t believe that I made it when he tried it. We are just so very pleased with this machine and I would recommend it to any frappe fan that is tired of paying those ridiculous prices.

    I’m not even sure how to write this review because it’s truly ridiculous. So I ordered this frappe machine, which is a good machine because I bought one years ago and I wanted another. What did I get???? Look at the picture!!!! I’m not kidding someone sent me this…thing. I don’t even know what it is….looks like some sort of Christmas reindeer wrist wrap. Really????? They missed the original delivery date and then deliver this today. Who are they hiring in the centers??? Anyone can see this thing isn’t a frappe machine, so it has to be a joke they decide to play. The package this thing came in even said 10 pounds. I’m so pissed.

    Simply amazing. A little louder then my blender but makes great drinks with regular coffee. Frappe mix is really not a must but is great to. This is going to save me tons of money this summer.

    BEST kitchen appliance I have EVER owned!!!! LOVE!!! I asked for this for Christmas after reading so many wonderful reviews. I was so excited and had very high expectations. On Christmas Day I tested it out for my family for the first time, and it was all wrong. Well I definitely didn’t follow the recipe instructions for starters and didn’t put the lid on correctly. So because of my stupidity the lid popped off and everything when flying out making a big mess, and it was runny, ice was chunky and I was disappointed. HOWEVER, A few days later decided to give it a try again but following the recipe this time and putting lid on rid. I added XANTHAN GUM…SECRET INGREDIENT. 3 minutes later, the frappe was PERFECTION!! My husband doesn’t even like coffee, and he really loved the peanut butter cup frappe I made him. The XANTHAN gum is what made it super thick and creamy and there was not one ice chunk of any kind. The XANTHAN gum keeps the ice from crystallizing and it’s what the coffee shops use to make it so thick and creamy. Now I am totally obsessed with my frappe right maker and it’s so easy to make once you get the hang of it. I’ve tweeked a few of the recipes to make them a little more flavorful. Also, if you go to their website they have many more recipes to make than the book they give you has. If you like frappes, then there’s no doubt you need to have one of these. You will save a ton of money from buying at the cafes and you don’t need to leave you home to get it. I love that it’s not coffee exclusive either, you can make green tea lattes and blended fruit drinks, protein shakes ect. Some of the recipes use some ice cream for more of a dessert drink too. LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS and I’ve told all my friends they need one! Just be sure to follow the instructions and recipes so it doesn’t get messed up. Also, it does startle me like other reviewers say when it switching to frappe, but just be prepared and all is well!!

    El producto llegó antes de lo esperado, bien empaquetado y todo bien. La máquina funciona muy bien y nada más hay que agarrarle la onda con los ingredientes. El vaso es muy firme, los materiales se sienten bien. Lo que sí es que cuando empieza a moler el hielo por primera vez da un pequeño brinco pero nada de qué preocuparse. Quedan algunos pedacitos de hielo sin moler pero son mínimos. Excelente máquina para hacer frappés.

    ~Written by the addicted long-time Starbucks Gold Card Member~ Negatives: *Be careful not to try using this if you have sleeping babies or children because it’s really-really loud. *Towards the end of running the automatic frappe cycle, the machine starts to get an unpleasant burning smell. I’m not sure if this is just mine? *The only difference between these frappuccinos and the Starbucks frappuccinos is the texture. The texture from this is a little more like a slurpee texture compared to Starbucks. Overall, this is amazing! I’m pretty much planning on NEVER going to Starbucks again except to purchase more Frappuccino Tumblers to hold my homemade frappes(; Save yourself so much money and just buy this. I love Starbucks’ caramel frappuccinos. You can find Starbucks copycat recipes on Pinterest and even tweek them a little bit to your liking. I use 2 tablespoons medium coffee 1/2 cup water 2 cups ice (fill ice to the “MAX ICE” line) 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup caramel syrup The whole process literally takes 5 minutes to make. And you can even put your homemade frappe in a Starbucks Frappuccino Cold Cup Tumbler!
