   Works fine so far. Has really short plug cord worked ok for me but keep in mind for others to use. Haven’t had this very long so far so good. Usually hope to get 8 to 10 years out of well used appliance, only time will tell. I usually give inside a good clean once a month with vinegar and water. I use distilled water but even that leaves some gunk behind.

   This is not a _great_ coffee maker, but it seems to fit into the “old, reliable” category. (At least I’m hoping it will.) There are NO bells and whistles, no clocks to set, and you have to be responsible enough to turn the thing off when you’re done. If you don’t like this sort of thing, this coffee maker is not for you. However, if you’ve recently had to ditch a coffee maker because the electronics stopped working, this is a pretty good answer. It has one control, an on/off switch.
   It makes good coffee. That’s all it’s supposed to do, and it does it.

   Surprised how quickly the hot water starts flowing to the coffee grounds. This Mr. Coffee produces smoother coffee than my keurig machine. The coffee grounds get soaked for a longer period of time which really makes a difference in the taste, I drink multiple cups so it’s nice not having to load and reload the coffeemaker. Definitely tasting much better than the small cups from keurig . Now I’m giving away my keurig for free. 5 Stars.

   I have used Mr. Coffee products for years. Just bought this coffeemaker in May 2022. Now on New Years Day 2023, less than 8 months old, the spout of the glass pot cracked while I was pouring coffee into my mug. I have experienced the glass cracking when you pour cold water into a hot pot. Or leaving an empty pot on a hot burner. I have never experienced the glass cracking while pouring the coffee.

   As far as a coffee maker, it works great. We bought this to replace our single cup Keurig mini. We brew a pot to cool and put into another container to use for iced coffee. The first time I made a batch, I transferred it into my half gallon mason jar (8 cups), which it filled to the top. If this was truly a 12 cup carafe like I thought, it should have also filled a second jar about halfway. So for the second batch that I brewed, I literally took a measuring cup to fill the carafe, and it only held 8 1/2 cups. Of those 8 1/2 cups, only 7 1/2 cups actually got brewed into coffee. While it’s a good coffee maker, I feel like I got ripped off.

   My coffee always tastes fantastic in the Mr Coffee maker. It is very easy to clean but I was hoping it would make a hotter cup of coffee. The fill numbers are not easily seen on the side of the coffee maker. On my last Mr Coffee maker the number of cups were more defined. Other that that I love this inexpensive coffee maker.

   1) easy to clean;
   2) should last a long time due to its simple design;

   Why would you offer the exact same coffee maker as you’ve always made, and take away one of the key features that makes it functional to the user? The well-marked water levels are from the old machine, the UNmarked water levels are on the new machine. What a ridiculous thing to do.     Well as i said it is a great coffe maker BUT the top doesn’t close all the way. There is 1/4 inch gap in the front area of the lid. I got this to replace my 20 plus year old mr coffee maker as the light started to flicker telling me something may be going on. maybe i can take the guts out this and put it into the old maker.     This is about the most basic Mr Coffee I’ve ever owned. There is no auto shut off, and the on indicator light is a dark green which is not so easy to see in daylight.     I’ve been using Mr. Coffee since it was, about 45 or more years ago. Used to be made right here in Cleveland Ohio USA. It was revolutionary at the time, very hot water over coffee grounds, dripped into a serving pot. The hot water design is what it was all about. The standard model I bought, which is basically like the original design, has no timers and other bells. You can’t go wrong with this coffee maker. OK, it’s not a perfect world and in this case the number of cups capacity markings are barely readable but an easy fix with a Sharpe marker writing the cups number and drawing a line for level indication does the job. I know this is long write for a simple coffee maker but we go back a long time, Mr. Coffee and me. A FLAVOR TIP: Try using distilled water instead of tap or bottled, the very best cup is the result, and…………you’ll never have to clean your coffee maker, and you even can use 1/3 less coffer grounds. What a deal. Enjoy and share the story.

    This model the company boast of its simplicity.. that it only makes a great cup by properly drenching the grounds with water at the perfect temperature and the time of emertion of the coarsely grounded beans…notice that I said drenched, not drowned.     This basic Mr. Coffee model has no extra features. It does have an updated contemporary design compared to the ones I remember from the ’80’s. The dual water level windows are a nice feature. The receptacle for storing the power cord slack is also nice. Most importantly, it makes a great pot of coffee. We bought two units, so we can use one to brew tea for preparing sweet tea.     Pros: it works well. It’s easy to use. It’s cheap. Filters and baskets that work with it are not hard to shop. Cons: It’s loud. The lid opens high. The recommended gold filter basket doesn’t fit flush so you often get a small amount of grounds inside your beverage. If it had an automatic timer it would be great. You need to turn it off and pull the plug otherwise it will continue to gurgle loudly as the warming tray keeps your carafe warm. Also for something that gives “14 cups”, the carafe is small. You get a 3 and a half regular sized mugs of coffee out of it (8 to 12 ounce per mug). Good for two people or one coffee addict.

    If you’re thinking that you might not use this coffee maker a lot because you get coffee from a café or use instant coffee, I’d say it’s still worth it to buy this! As a coffee-loving college student who loves to order coffee, I didn’t know how useful or convenient it would be. But sometimes you want or need coffee at home and this machine has served its purpose well. It tastes a lot better than instant coffee and has given me no problems whatsoever. My biggest tip is to remove the coffee filter with the used coffee at least within a day after brewing to prevent mold from accumulating on the old filter—seems like common sense but sometimes things would get so busy that I would forget. Also to prevent coffee ground buildup I clean the filter basket after every use. All in all this is a perfectly functional coffee maker and hasn’t let me down in the 6 months I’ve had it. If you’re on the fence about this one just get it!

    The coffee maker only lasted 18 months. Well, not even actually before I started to use duct tape and a piece of popsicle stick to hold the button down in on position and using the plug to power on or off which was about 12 months of not an everyday use since some days I prefer a cup of espresso or cappuccino instead. Then one day recently I had my daughter and her bf staying over and one had to go and hit the switch off. I got one more use by pressing both sides down before it quit completely. Had expected for it to last a bit longer for the use it got. Otherwise for the time I had with it it had worked nicely. Now it’s time to move on to a new coffee maker.

    The coffee making itself is just fine. The features on the coffeemakers.us.com description are incorrect, however. The comparison table (see photo) specifies a 2-hour warming period. This coffee maker does not actually have an automatic warmer shut-off. If I’d known that, I’d’ve purchased a different model. Of course, I threw away the box before I noticed the lack of an automatic shut-off, so now I can’t return it.

    My purchase just over 2 years ago was redirected here, though mine is clearly an older version (pictured). This will be my 2nd Mr. Coffee in a row where the final point of failure rendering the machine useless is the power switch. Apparently Mr. Coffee is struggling with this hundred year old technology. They might have fixed it with this new version, but if they struggle this much with something as simple as a power switch, I don’t trust that they really fixed it. 2 years is a pathetic lifespan even for a recent appliance. Time to move on from this once respected brand.

    I’m kind of shocked by the bad reviews. I’m not a coffee expert though..and I’m I like simple machines so maybe I’m just easily impressed but here’s my review. I’m most excited about the fact that this carafe doesn’t dribble! My old coffee pots always dribbled when I would pour out of the pot. This one pours exactly where I pour it. No coffee down the side of my cup or water on my counter tops!! The coffee brews fairly fast and tastes great. It also brews at a hotter temperature than my old ones which is great!! Maybe mine were just way too old. It’s easy to empty the coffee grounds and just has a simple on/off switch which is what I wanted. I’m only 25 years old but I didn’t want a programmable latte foam expresso bean grinding mess. Just wanted this machine to brew coffee and it does exactly that! Just a few notes. The longer you leave it on the hotter the coffee gets. I’ve burnt my mouth after going back for a second cup after like 45 mins. The coffee wasn’t scorched tasting but definitely hot. So be careful. I have not had any problems with the spring but I read other people did. Also this coffee maker is so pretty. Glossy clean round pretty machine. I also like that the light is green and not red when it’s turned on lol. I love it. ***UPDATE It’s been about 5 months of everyday use and now when I fill it to 8 cups it only brews 5 or 6 cups and the coffee ends up being too strong now. Rather bummed out so I took my rating from 5 down to 4 stars ••BUT•• if you use distilled water or have a water softener machine in your house I don’t think this will happen to you. We have really hard water and the mineral buildup clogged this coffee maker. If you descale is regularly which I didn’t, you should be fine. I bought another and have softened my water.

    We needed a simple on/off coffee maker that would work with my Wyze smart plug. This coffee pot does just that and it’s easy to use, consistently flavorful coffee, easy to clean, compact (takes less space on my kitchen counter). My bedroom is on the 2nd floor so I can turn on my coffee pot via my Wyze smart plug when I drag myself out of bed in the morning. My coffee is hot and ready when I get downstairs to the kitchen.     We’ve been using Mr. Coffee for about 15 years and love the hot but not burnt flavorful coffee that these simple models reliably deliver. This one is no exception to that rule but I do have 2 gripes with the design of this new model: the lines on the machine are not printed on but instead are impressed on the inside. This makes those markings effectively unusable. I have attached a photo to show that. I took this photo this morning after having last made coffee last morning. The condensation makes the lines illegible. Without the condensation (if you would dry it out after it cools after each use but who does that?) the lines are still pretty hard to read. My second gripe is that the arm that pours hot water onto the coffee grounds does not get pushed back into place with the lid as it closes. The last model I owned did that. So I have to move the arm back over the grounds after I have put in the new filter and grounds. It still makes good coffee. I hope it is reliable (I’ve been using it less than 1 week so far), but it does have 2 things that irritate me each morning because my old one had these things figured out and now I’ve lost that. Also I should add that the picture of the coffee maker on the box shows the measurement lines on the machine printed, not empressed. There’s a bit of false advertising there. UPDATE: After almost 1 year of use, the on/off switch broke and therefore renders this coffee maker useless. I’m pretty disappointed with Mr. Coffee after this experience and am looking for a replacement brand.

    Love this basic coffee maker. It works as expected and gives a nice volume of coffee. Notably, this one doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles that some other coffee makers come with. For example, this coffee maker does not have a timed delay, which was a point of consideration for my partner and I who both work in healthcare and have to get up quite early. In any event, we got a smart plug from Kasa and time the coffee maker that way! It suits our needs and I think we ended up saving big time on buying a more basic coffee maker.     This coffeemaker does make good coffee. But I cannot recommend it since the lid is sooooo tall. It measures about 10″ so when I need to open it to put the filter and coffee I have to move it precariously close to the edge of the counter. I cannot open it under the cabinets. If I had realized the lid was so tall I would not have purchased this coffeemaker. It makes it a no go for me. Except it does work. Very poor design.

    I replaced a 17 year old Mr.Coffee with this new Mr.Coffee in 2021. In less than 6 months the hot plate was rusting. I never had a problem with the old one. It still makes good coffee, but never looks clean and the rust gets on the bottom of the carafe.

    Hello Mr. Coffee, I don’t usually write reviews but after 4 (four) purchases I had to share my experience. Each of the four Mr. Coffee products do NOT have the water tank numbers labeled – AS THE PHOTO SHOWS. Both coffeemakers.us.com AND the Mr. Coffee box are incorrect photos. Extremely misleading and IMPOSSIBLE to read. The numbers to read the water level are CLEAR. Who does that?! Given as a gift, my grandparents can not operate this machine without visual assistance. “Do I need more water? I can’t tell…” At that point, the water is usually leaking from the two back openings. The most recent coffeemaker we received had plastic pieces fall from the unit. I AM SO RELIEVED NO ONE SWALLOWED THESE PIECES (see photo). Each of the products is a simple On/Off Coffeemaker and works as advertised and can function with a Smart Outlet. However, considering the four identical and faulty products we’ve received, I’ve removed 2 Stars. Mr. Coffee and coffeemakers.us.com, PLEASE FIX your manufacturing process and update the incorrect product images. It’s been incorrect for many months. Future coffeemaker purchases will be from another manufacturer.

    It makes good coffee, but the other water inlet swivel messes up the coffee grounds. Additionally, Mr. Coffee is made in China. I should have known, otherwise, it would have sat in China. Be careful pouring water as the tank is close to the water distribution. The hot plate is sufficient, but I place my mug on a BUNN hot plate. Mr. Coffee is not piping hot anymore. Well, what did I expect for $34.00?
