   The coffee maker that I received is in excellent condition and all the seams look and feel smooth. The time since brew illumination is not super bright but easy to read. The brewed temperature is a tad to hot for me but still slurpable.

   Coffee maker eventually starts to leak as others have mentioned. You can’t make a full pot once this starts happening.
   Today it simply quit. Coffee won’t brew, machine thinks it’s already made. So after two years it’s done I guess.

   Built to fail it seems. Two years isn’t enough time for this to happen. Buy another brand.

   I like it’s looks, I like the brew now or brew later feature, and I was surprised it had zero blemishes at all when it arrived since it was a renewed item that claimed cosmetic damage on top….there was nothing wrong with it, it was an 80 dollar coffee maker retail (by coffeemakers.us.com prices btw), got it for 21 bucks..that is a win.

   First off let me get the biggest issue out in the open because this was what I was most upset about- THIS DID NOT COME WITH THE GOLDTONE REUSABLE FILTER. In fact, not only did it not come with it AS ADVERTISED ON THE PRODUCT PAGE, but the booklet clearly states that not all models come with the reusable filter. I felt completely misled by this. We are trying to be more conscious of the impact we have on the environment, and I was really excited that this was supposed to have a reusable coffee filter, but it did not. Now that that’s out of the way, let me get to the rest of the facts. This coffee maker can brew up 12 cups. It is very sleek and stylish in design and is attractive for a coffee machine. It comes with a water filter and a measuring spoon. Brews the coffee quietly and quickly. After the coffee is brewed, it will tell you if it is fresh or how long since it was brewed (in 30 minute intervals) then automatically shuts off after 4 hours. It also automatically stops dripping coffee if you pull the carafe out. I received this item for free, but as of today it was listed at $78.40 which I felt was a little expensive for a slightly elevated basic coffee machine. Now had it come with the reusable filter as it was advertised, I would find the price point more palatable. But just by glancing at the other reviews I see that I am not the only one who was missing this key piece.

   I loved this easy, programmable coffee maker. Used it everyday and it stopped working in just short of 2 years. Bummed that most reviews say the same things… great while it worked… didn’t last longer than 2 years. They just don’t make things the way they used to. My mom’s simple coffee maker lasted 10 years! Brews great coffee. Loved that I didn’t need filters. Easy to clean. Easy to program. Nice design & auto shut off. So bummed.

   Basic everyday coffee pot with auto timer, it has a filter, but not sure if I really need it since we have filtered water. Plus, doesn’t say how often they need to be replaced or how much additional filters costs. I checked into the filters, they are $12.99 for a 2-pack, 60 day supply. Therefore, $6.50 a month to replace the filter. It’s very light weight, mostly plastic parts, the craft is glass and tall with removable lid for cleaning.

    This Mr. Coffee pot is a really well-done coffee pot. It’s simple to use but at the same time has some handy features and makes a great pot of coffee. The LED display is pretty basic but it works well. It’s programmable so you can set it at night so it’s freshly brewed when you wake up. Not a new feature as that’s been standard for coffee pots for a while now but this one is very simple to program and I like that it has the led clock too. The one feature that really impressed me here and is something I use regularly is the ‘grab-a-cup’ auto-pause. That is something that I wish had been on coffee pots for a long time. When you want to grab a cup before it’s finished brewing the whole pot, now you can and you don’t have to get burned or worry about the coffee getting all over the place while you do it. That’s a huge feature for me and many people I know. Another nice feature is the 4-hour freshness indicator. That’s probably not a big deal for personal usage but if you’re getting this for a small office or a big family then it’s great. The warmer on this pot works well and keeps the coffee hot. It does also have a built-in clean cycle. I haven’t really noticed that making a big difference yet but I’ve also just started using it. I know as far as the filters go I probably am not going to be running out and buying replacements. They give you one to start but I’ve never been one to keep up with replacing them in my appliances. I generally only use bottled water in my small appliances either way. As far as looks go, they did a great job with making this match a modern updated kitchen. It matches stainless steel appliances and looks very sleek. I like that the power cord tucks inside the machine. It keeps it so you don’t have to worry about the excess cord. I’m really happy with this coffee pot. It’s pulled me away from using the single-serve machines I have. I think they did a great job of updating this to a more modern design. The price point is fair. Good product all around.

    This coffee maker lid opens up from the left hand side. Not really good for me being a left-handed, but I think the idea behind this is so that you don’t have to keep moving your coffee maker away from the back wall every time you want to load it. The lid is kinda in my way when I am trying to fill the basket with grounds. My solution was to place this coffee pot on a very small rolling plant holder (about 11X11 inches) with small casters. (also found on coffeemakers.us.com) This way I can rotate the coffee maker around so I can reach it at a better angle. Overall I think this is one of the better coffee makers as far as aesthetics goes! Very good looking faux stainless which is different from most coffee makers. I like that this has a 4 hour warmer on it because some only have a 2 hour “keep warm” option. And last, my favorite feature is the flip-lid. My previous coffee maker had a pop-off lid and both my husband and I found it to be a pet peeve.

    Just wanted a simple back-up coffee maker, but I paid a little more for this coffee maker because it is so darn pretty.
    Well, I’m glad I did. This thing is pretty on the inside and the outside.
    My last Mr. Coffee coffee maker was like 10 years ago. It was like a jalopy compared to this machine, which is like a Lexus or a Cadillac. My goodness.

    Okay, so it’s easy to use and the coffee stay HOT. Look, I like hot coffee, I used to take my coffee out of an even more expensive coffeemaker and nuke it to get it hot enough for me. Not this one. Coffee is hot and in the carafe it stays hot until the next serving. It does have auto shut off though.

    Update: 8/29/22: Went to the Mr. Coffee website and filed a ticket. Exchanged emails twice with support. No problem. They are shipping me a new Mr. Coffee. Nice. 4 stars for support. Original Review: Bought this “better” version coffee maker for our house sitter on July 8. Return policy window August 8. We went on vacation August 10. During the vacation, the coffee pot broke. What? Poor quality apparently. Now I need to go through the Mr. Coffee Support Team. We’ll see what happens. No wonder the return window is only 30 days.

    Wow what a good looking machine! Looks really good on my counter. And that’s where the positive review ends. In order for a coffee maker to work properly it needs to make hot water! That is defined as 190°F to 205°F this nice looking little machine barely made it to 160°F on the first pot of room temperature, clean filtered bottled water, the next 6 cup pot sadly made it to a meager 130°F Moreover the filter feature is BS as you can see from the photos there are no O-rings in the socket that receives the filter basket nor on the filter basket itself. Based on my observation and my opinion, water can and most likely will bypass the filter all together. I don’t appreciate Mr. coffee trying to pull a fast one on me, that’s not cool at all!

    I got this machine bc I liked the color-coded scoop and water reservoir that helps you get the right amount of grounds for the amount of water you’re using, and because I wanted a machine that I could program to have coffee ready in the morning before I get up (since I usually work evenings but sometimes have to work a more “normal” shift).
    I had some issues with the reusable filter being difficult to get clean, so the taste of our coffee got gradually worse. After cleaning the coffee pot itself (in case there was additional buildup somewhere other than the filter) without the taste improving I switched to paper filters, which fixed that issue.

    So I recommend this machine with its included scoop and programmable “brew later” function, but I would skip using the included reusable filter and either use paper filters or a different flat-bottom reusable filter that’s easier to clean.
