   I recently purchased a De’Longhi Nespresso Vertuo machine after enjoying a Breville model I bought for my parents. While both machines produce coffee/espresso with identical taste, the main difference lies in their functionality and product design. The Breville machine features a slightly larger base, providing better stability for your cup during brewing. In contrast, the De’Longhi model has a smaller base. None of my coffee cups fit neatly under the spout. This issue becomes particularly frustrating when using 12 oz pods, as they fill the cup to the brim, leaving little room for maneuverability. You’ll need to transfer the coffee into a bigger cup if you want to add milk. Additionally, the De’Longhi water tank lid is not attached by hinges, leading to frequent accidental falls into the tank during refills. In comparison, the Breville machine’s flip-top lid offers a more convenient and secure design. In conclusion, the coffee tastes the same but one is more user friendly than the other.

   Thank god for this machine. Keurig and other coffee machines pale in comparison to the quality of coffee you get with this machine. Yes, Nespresso virtuo pods can get pretty expensive if you ask me but they are super convenient and super delicious tasting coffee. I’m Italian so I’d like to think I have a great appreciation of fine espresso and coffees and I can’t drink regular drip coffee now that I have this. If you want to be stingy, you can get the reusable foils designed specifically for Virtuo machines—I take a sharp box cutter and remove the top foil from a used pod, I fill it with Medaglia D’oro (delicious espresso), I then take a regular pill bottle top the same diameter as the pod and PRESS IT DOWN COMPACT and lastly place a foil on top! That’s it! Super inexpensive and just as tasty. – TIP- use the weekly CLEAN FUNCTION on your Nespresso machine more often if you are using foils because grinds can easily get stuck. To do this, close and lock your machine with no pod inside, wait for light to turn solid and then push button three times quickly. Ensure you have enough water in your reservoir and place a large cup to catch the dirty water. I did not even know this clean cycle existed until my machine clogged up and I called Nespresso for support which is when they explained that this should be done weekly! Who knew… Hope you find this helpful!

   This is my third Nespresso machine. I love it. It’s easy to use. You have to use the Nespresso vertuoline pods with this machine. I’m the only one who drinks coffee in the house, so this is great so I make one cup at a time. Easy to fill with water and empty the used capsules. Nespresso also recycled the pods if you send it back to them. Machine is easy to clean, follow the instructions on the Nespresso website.

   I love my Nespresso Vertuo, but the pods are expensive. I really like the convenience of putting a pod in and getting espresso, but trying to make espresso drinks with this machine was not cost effective for me. I use 4 shots in a 24 oz (venti) sized iced coffee drink. Each 1 shot pod is ~$1. The doubles work too, but no decaf double shots. That was the other problem. i mostly drink decaf and there are few options for decaf… But the coffee that this Nespresso produces tastes really great and has great crema on it. I really like the decaf pods and the seasonal peppermint pinwheel. The milk frother is great. It froths hot or cold. Beware- it will overflow if filled above the line or close to the line.

   This coffee machine is fantastic. It’s easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. I stayed away from the Nespresso machines for a long time due to the high price, and espresso only options. It wasn’t until the Vertuoline, that I became interested again because with this line you get coffee options as well. Man am I glad I did. The pods are a tad pricey, but it is totally worth it. The cream, the flavor, the goodness. LOL. In all seriousness, this is my 3rd “pod” type machine. I have had a Starbucks Verismo and multiple Keurig machines. The Verismo was good, however, Starbucks seemed to launch the machine with zeal, then let it die a slow death. No new machine in years, and seemed to no longer display and sell them. I was told they weren’t going to keep making them. So back to Kuerig I went. The pods are better priced, but no matter the coffee type, it always seemed to be either an inconsistent cup of coffee or a weak cup, even with espresso roasted coffee pods. Then comes the hero of our story. The Nespresso Vurtuo line of makers. I have to say, I was skeptical, and not expecting a lot from another pod machine. I was wrong. It is enjoyable, and an extremely satisfying cup of coffee, and espresso as well. *A word about the broken machines in Reviews* All the negative reviews seem to be about build/ship quality in regards to the water tank. Mine was perfect on arrival and no cracks etc. I think that the problem is the design. Most people are used to “pulling” tasks up and off. This one is more of tilt off then up motion. So I think it might be easy to damage un-intentionally. I also think its a good idea to watch the Nespresso YouTube Channel about your specific machine. Its very well put together and informative.

    I want to give it 10 stars! I’ve only had it 5 days and I’m in love! Never going back to a regular coffee pot or wasteful Kuerig, that doesn’t even make good quality coffee. Many positive things about the Nespresso; 1) nice and sleek design looks great on the countertop 2) used pods fall automatically into a container when you open it to insert a new pod, this is especially great since my husband would just leave the used KCups on the countertop cuz walking over to the garbage can is just too much effort in the morning 😉 3) great tasting coffee and espresso for $1.10 per cup 4) they recycle the aluminum pods and the coffee grounds get turned into compost, no guilt like with the Kuerig! 5) quick and convenient Some things to note; you can only get the approved recycling bags if you order your coffee from Nespresso, but they are free of charge and are prelabled so you don’t pay for shipping them back. Even though I ❤️ coffeemakers.us.com, I recommend ordering your pods directly through Nespresso for that reason as well as they are actually 10¢ per pod cheaper and do offer free shipping with orders over $50, which is only 5 sleeves of coffee. To address some of the other reviewers issues with the coffee not being hot enough, I think that’s just personal preference, I hate burn your toungue scalding coffee. I want it to be hot but ready to drink, I don’t want to have to wait for it to cool as I do with Starbucks. And you can always put it in the microwave or a travel cup to keep it hot longer. Another issue I saw from previous reviewers is that the Aeroccino milk frother doesn’t do a good job. I did some research on that since I initially had the same problem. Fresh cold milk is key, and higher fat content will froth better. Don’t fill the frother past the little ”globe” part of the whisking mechanism, see pics. When I made these adjustments the milk frothed perfectly. I also tried almond and coconut milk and both will froth just fine. And lastly the only slightly negative is that it is louder than I expected, but only for a few seconds at the end of brewing while the centrifuge is working. I very highly recommend the Nespresso, I chose this model over the newer one since it was lower in price (at least in some colors) and there didn’t seem to be any difference in technology only in the exterior appearance of it. I also didn’t care that the newer one has a water container that swivels so it can be placed next to or behind the machine. Etremly happy with my purchase! 😁

    We already had a nespresso machine from the original line and we wanted to buy a vertuo as well since my husband uses a lot of pods to make a cappuccino for his work. I originally bought another nespresso and i return it since it didnt serve the purpose. Pros: -makes delicious coffee and creamy espresso -Cute design -Doesnt take too much counter space -easy to use -easy to clean -makes a lot of coffee since you have various sizes of coffee pods -doesnt make noise – makes hot coffee -big capacity of water tank Cons: Literally i have no cons to say. Overall, totally recommend this coffee machine if you love coffee as much as we do. (We have two side by side and use them both. So you can imagine how much we love coffee) we saved soooo much money with both two machines since we started making our coffee at home !

    I am very satisfied and super happy with my Nespresso Vertuo. The only thing that I did not like was that I received it with dents on the front and side of the pods container. 😞Graphite metal is a nice color! The shape, for me, is better than the nespresso vertuo by breville. I love the smell, taste, and texture of the espresso/coffee. Feels like in a coffee shop. ♥️ The water tank has great capacity and it’s lid can easily be opened so you could refill it either directly with the container attached to the machine or by detaching it. The machine is fast and easy to use. The size is okay. The espresso/coffee’s temperature is not that hot just like what others said on their reviews. I tried other’s suggestion to pre-heat the glass. I actually wanted to buy the Evoluo bec it has the same specs with the vertuo except that the Evoluo has the “improved” temperature, however, I could not find a discounted price. Buuuut no regrets!!! The Nespresso Vertuo by De Longhi is pretty and it makes a great coffee/espresso. I still need to figure out what’s wrong with my aeroccino3 milk frother bec 2 out of 3 times that I used it since I received it the other day, the milk overflowed. I used a good milk with less than the maximum level and with correct tools. It produced a nice froth tho. Overall, the Nespresso Vertuo by De Longhi is a great buy! Highly recommended.

    So I just so happen to find this Nespresso with the milk frother for for the amazing price $118! I was a little skeptical because I read it was a used machine after I purchased but for the price I am willing to take the chance. Every thing turned out great so far. They even sent some pod which I was not expecting, so bonus points there. Gave it 4 stars only because it is my first time using it and will update my review in about a month or so.     In case you’re wondering, “How is this different than the Evoluo?” It’s almost identical. The Delonghi has a bigger water and capsule tank, a more rugged metal cup tray with the DeLonghi logo, and a metal latch/lever on the top. Parts are also interchangeable between the two machines. My five year old Evoluo finally died. I can’t remember what the Evoluo sounded like when I first got it, but for the past two years it was extremely loud and sounded like an airplane taking off. This is about one-third of the sound level. Unfortunately the water tank was damaged in shipping so I requested a replacement one. But in the meantime the smaller Evoluo water tank from my old machine is 100% compatible.

    We’ve been Starbucks/Keurig people for years. During Covid we moved away from Starbucks and began concentrating on the coffee we make at home. We bought a Bosch, built-in coffee machine which is in the basement because we’ll have to reconfigure the kitchen to make room for it. We had Nespresso coffee on a recent Viking trip and were so impressed we bought one when we got home. The pods are about $1.25 each but the coffee is amazing! We use a small frother and 1/2 & 1/2 and are delighted with the results. The Keurig we previously used and the Nespresso machine are currently side-by-side on the counter, but we only use the Keurig when we’re in a hurry and just want a quick caffeine fix. We had a Miele coffee station in a previous house & I hated the cleaning ritual that accompanied it. This coffee is every bit as good and nowhere near the mess or expense. We have decided not to install the Bosch machine we bought. I wish we’d discovered this sooner!

    What can I say, it’s a Nespresso machine. Known for its high quality and good coffee – that’s exactly what I’m getting out of it. A Keurig is a great alternative for the budget mindful, but this machine does come out ahead in terms of being a higher quality product with better coffees. The milk frother is next level and makes GREAT lattes. Seems pretty durable and is easy to operate.

    The nespresso brand coffee tastes great. I love the frothy foam the nespresso machine creates on top when its brewing. Even if you dont have the milk aerator, you can add the milk while the coffee is brewing and it stay frothy. The only downside to having this machine would be that not all stores sell the pods. There is also a re-fillable pod option you can use your own ground coffee with.

    We have a original nespresso and decided to get a vertuo as well because we enjoy the flavor of Nespresso coffee. If you are a coffee snob, this is for you. The vertuo crème is so amazing, you will use less creamer in your coffee than with a traditional maker. Before the vertuo I would drink between 2-4 16oz mugs of drip coffee a day! I used a lot of steamed heavy whipping cream back then to take the edge of the bitter acidity. Now, I use very little cream because the Nespresso flavor is smooth and tastes like coffee smells. Because of the price and even more so the powerful taste and strength of the coffee, I find I drink use two 7.7oz pods in the morning and that does it for me. I sometimes crave another in the day (as a treat because it tastes so damn good), but I rarely have more because I’m coffee-ed out! While I want the price of the pods to drop, I have to admit the quality is worth the cost. We tried Pete’s in our Nespresso original because there was a cheap value pack at Costco. I love Pete’s Coffee when it comes to choosing a chain-coffee shop, but the Nespresso brand pods (original) were noticeably much better. Quality is worth the price for coffee lovers, so if you can lower the price without sacrificing quality that would be great—but don’t lower quality to lower the price! We buy our pods direct from Nespresso. It arrives within 3-4 days and usually contains some kind of small gift. Top notch company! Wishlist: I am hoping Nespresso makes a vertuo pod (again) that is bigger than the 7.7oz like the discontinued Aldo size.

    The Nespresso Vertuo is amazing! When it makes a cup of coffee or espresso, etc. there is froth at the top. In my photos, with the glass, this is a double espresso. There’s a photo of the cup by itself to show the completed double espresso size. In the video, I could only get the start of the brewing to keep it under 30 seconds. The video shows how to insert the pod and how long it takes from when you put the pod in, how long it takes to start brewing. It’s fast. If you want to get the true experience of making cappuccinos or lattes, you might want to purchase a milk frother. The only downside for me is that the Nespresso machine doesn’t make the coffee as hot as I’d like it. But it’s hot enough. I like this size Nespresso due to the water tank is the largest out of all the models. The water tank is on the left and the area to catch the used pods is on the right. I love that the Nespresso pods are aluminum and not plastic and you can recycle them. Nespresso will provide bags to ship the pods to recycle them. We like the taste of the coffee, it’s brews nicely and there’s a variety of flavors to choose from as well as different sizes.

    We owned our first one of this exact machine for over 10 years. It just recently started sounding loud but worked just fine still. We decided to replace it and couldn’t decide on a color. I have photographed two colors, Titan and Graphite for others to see the difference. Graphite is the shiny one (slightly darker grey than Titan also) and Titan is matte. Titan matches really well with our stainless steel appliances. Hope this helps!

    With the crema head on the coffee and the espresso, the drinks produced by this device are tasty and unusual (for a home brewing machine). A great number of coffee intensities and flavors are available. Easy to use. Only “negative” comment I can make is that, in my opinion, the temperature of the espresso is at an unexceptable 100-105 degrees F. And the regular coffee comes out at about 140 degrees F. Both of those temperatures are not, again in my opinion, hot enough for the average coffee drinker. Asking two baristas in town has taught me that their coffee is made with 190+ degree F water, and by the time it gets to me, it is still at about 160+ degrees F. Checking with the Nespresso company I am told that the coffee must be brewed at these lower temperatures to avoid burning it. And there is no “heat” setting on this model, only on the Pro model. I guess you could heat it up to a more acceptable temperature, but that would defeat the entire purpose of the machine. Nevertheless, it stills makes a very tasty cup of coffee and I am keeping it regardless of the my somewhat dissatisfaction with the temperature of the finished product.
