   Update: There is a major flaw with this espresso machine: add a tiny bit of cold cream and you’re going to have to microwave your freshly brewed coffee or add hot water. This machine doesn’t make the coffee hot enough. No matter if you’re making an espresso, or a regular sized cup of coffee. They even admit to it by addressing it in the manual. It says something like ,” to make coffee hotter, add some hot water”. Very disappointing. It had SUCH potential. Previous review: This is the best espresso/double espresso/coffee maker in the universe! I’ve tried a lot of coffee specialty drinks. This one puts all the professional barista’s to shame! Please excuse my excitement in my video review. I drank all of the included samples today. In one day. Not taking my blood pressure until next week. The capsules are expensive; but not as expensive as Starbucks, and much better! I’m in love with it so now the world knows I’m crazy. Update: there is one thing that I don’t like. The machine juts out where you place your coffee. This makes one feel like their coffee is not secure on the platform, as with any normal cup, 1/4 is going to be hanging off the side. The machine vibrates. This equates with risk. I don’t want to handle risky situations when I’m having my morning coffee. Removing one star for the “cup risk”and one for the “not HOT hot” problem.

   I’ve wanted one of these for a while and after a lot of research this is what I landed on. I am not a coffee snob in anyway, but the filtered drip coffee was just not doing it anymore. I love that this does mugs for a quick fix and espresso shots for a homemade latte. It is easy to use and the machine reads what pod you’re using-I don’t even think you actually have to push the button after putting a pod in. I also like the fancy automatic lift and close of the machine when putting the pod in. The water tank is easy to remove and fill and the platform for mugs is adjustable. It makes coffee real quick and the taste is great! I also enjoyed the sample pack that came with it. I still have to dive into the deep world of flavors and options nespresso offers but for now basic pods are hitting the spot and the machine is working lovely. I think the price point is reasonable. It makes good coffee efficiently for a simple person.

   The good news – the machine makes delicious coffee. Expensive but delicious. The good news stops there! My machine ruined two spots on my wood counter / table top. I assumed the first time it was my fault in that maybe I did not seat the water tank properly. Self support online had suggested testing the tank on a by placing it on a dry paper towel. I did this after the first leak and counter damage and the tank seemed fine. So I thought I was good to go and it was a one time incident. A few weeks – no problem. But again on a prolonged few day absense the machine slowly leaked again and ruined a second spot on the counter. NOW – everyone can be reasonable and assume defects happen now and then on any product. So I called the support number expecting to receive a remedy and maybe even a kind “I am sorry it destroyed your wood table top.” Instead I was “greeted” with someone telling me they would help only if I went online and created a Nespresso account. So maybe this is “legal” and fine to tell someone they have to create a separate account just to have a faulty product dealt with properly. Even if this is – it is bogus and rude! Nespresso you are charging a premium price for what should be a premium machine and experience. Instead you have shipped a defective product that damages people property and then you have the audacity to hide behind an account membership rather than dealing with the problem. Insane! Untenable and frankly piss poor. You have turned someone that could have been a life long lover of Nespresso products and an advocate into an impassioned detractor. Get it together. You can and should to better!

   I have always used drip coffee, French and Keurig. I decided to switch it up one day when I saw this machine on a Nespresso ad on TikTok. Man I’m glad I went with my gut. I love this thing. Coffee comes out perfect. Stormio xCaffeine is our favorite. It brews a nice hot cup of coffee every time. I will say sometimes it does vibrate a lot, but from what I read that’s normal. We only use two pods a day so we’re definitely saving money! I recommend this machine 100%. Also don’t forget to register is under your Nespresso account on their website for the warranty!

   I own several Italian automatic espresso machines (Saeco) that cost thousands of dollars. The Nespresso Vertuo machine produces a flavor, mouth-feel, and quality equal to (if not better) than my $3000 machines. Seriously, look no further for a true coffee house experience every morning in your own kitchen. I absolutely love this machine, and the milk frother (Aeroccino3) makes perfect creamy hot milk/foam that rivals any high pressure steam wand. This machine is extremely quiet (so is the aeroccino (milk frother)). The extraction technology is ingenious, as it creates a fine “pull” with the centrifugal technology, and the “crema” of the espresso pull is authentically thick. Depending on which computer coded pods you buy, it will pull a single (1.35 oz), double (2.7 oz), or lungo (5 oz) espresso shot. There are also pods for 8 oz regular coffee (strong and full flavored). The pods may be a little pricey, but compared to the price of a cappuccino at your local coffee shop- It’s a bargain. Look no further. This is the ultimate espresso/coffee machine. Just buy it, and you will thank me later.

   I bought this machine three years ago to the month (yes I’m coming back to write a review three years later – hey, I’ve got lots of experience now) and I can say I still love this machine just as much as I loved it the first day I bought it. I’ve pretty much stopped going to Starbucks altogether, and believe me I went A LOT. The pods can be a bit pricey if you are used to brewing a typical pot of coffee at home, but if you used to spend money on latte’s and iced mocha’s etc., it’s actually cheaper in comparison. I love the fact that I can make a cup of regular non-flavored coffee for my first cup and then for my second, I can brew a cup of chocolate or hazelnut for something different and I don’t have to add any sugary crap to get some flavor. And can I say, I never knew I needed crema on the top of my coffee before, but apparently I did, because it’s a nice touch to each sip. The double espresso pods have come in handy when I wake up early for a morning workout and don’t want a big cup of coffee sloshing around in my stomach or the other end of the spectrum when I make an espresso martini. It hasn’t all been glorious though….. for some reason for about a year, yes a YEAR, my descale light wouldn’t shut off. No matter what I tried it stayed on, and yes, I descaled the machine etc., but for some reason the descale light gods showed up about 2 months ago and turned it off. It never effected the machine’s capability to brew, but it did bug me to see that orange ring for whatever reason. The other bad thing, and it was a doozy each time: the shelf came off while the coffee was brewing. The first time it happened was with my Starbucks city mug I had got in Ireland (let’s just say I was very sad and have learned to stop using mugs that mean something to me) and then just 3 days ago it happened again with another mug. This time, coffee went EVERY WEHRE. So take it from me, either keep an eagle eye on the cup or just really, really, really check that shelf and make sure it’s on there securely. Other than those two things, it has been an amazing purchase that I have not regretted at all and always highly recommend to all of my friends and well, even strangers if I happen to hear them asking about coffee machines 😉

    Just received an essentially new Nespresso Vertuo Plus machine for less than half retail, as an open box item with warranty from Breville. The box had some miles on it, but the coffee maker was as new, probably a store shelf model. And it started and worked just fine. Second such machine I’ve had, and the Vertuo Plus is the best of the Nespresso choices. My previous Vertuo Plus went five years of daily use before failing.

    The previous machine did everything well but struggled to get through the descaling process.

    Does it matter where Nespresso makes these? This open box one was Breville-badged from the Ukraine, and while almost identical, seems just a bit better in build quality than the previous one, DeLonghi from Hungary.

    All trivia. Both make great coffee, in five pod sizes, if one cup at a time with a small counter footprint is your goal.

Box was saturated due coffeemakers.us.com driver not taking 4 more steps on a rainy day to set box under my main entrance area that’s covered. (Lazy) What was supposed to be a gift wrapped present ended up having to open to inspect for water damages. (It was ok) #2 you will probably receive an expired coupon inside the box of a new coffee machine.     I bought the new Ninja espresso machine and from day 1 it was a pain in my backside. I wanted to love it and it was gorgeous, but it leaked everywhere and the espressos came out awful. I returned it and bought the Nespresso Vertuo Plus Deluxe on a recommendation from a friend, and I am in love. My espressos turn out so delicious and the crema is luscious. (Pro tip: Fold in your crema and it’ll make your espresso next level yummy. Another tip: Wait until the light stops blinking to brew your cup and the espresso comes out hotter than if you just brew as soon as you close the lid.) I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. I still use my Ninja coffee maker (just the regular coffee maker) for larger coffees, but a lot of times I’ll add in a shot of espresso too. Also, the Aeroccino Milk Frother is awesome.     I can’t rave enough about the nespresso machine! For one, you can decide where the water tank goes. It can be on the right side as pictured. Directly behind. Or to the left. It’s easy to turn. The water tank has an impressive capacity. There is no max marking, only a min marking. However, because of the way you’d remove the tank, I wouldn’t recommend filling to the very top. Reading some reviews, leaking was an issue and recommendations were made to follow the instructions. Which say to tilt back and remove. So we follow that. So far we’ve had no issues and we use this twice a day. Soooo easy!! It’s got a quick warm up time too. Seeing as tho it’s holiday season, I’ve been making mine with egg nog using the 7oz cup pods. I pour about 1/4 ish cup of egg nog. I don’t stir it at all so I get a nice strong flavor at the beginning. I love this machine. It’s quiet, it’s easy and it makes an amazing cup of caffeinated deliciousness! EDIT: It’s 01/12/2020. Our machine has started leaking. Reading the reviews, it mentioned several customers who experienced leaking. We use our nespresso at minimum 3 times a day. Every day. I read the reviews which mentioned to make sure to read the manual—paying attention to how one takes off the reservoir. To tilt back first versus just pulling straight up. Our leaking comes out of the bottom. It makes a decent mess. Handling this went smoothly—unlike some reviews. Now, is it because we are within our coffeemakers.us.com window?? We are definitely within the warranty period. Because it’s a leak, coffeemakers.us.com couldn’t help. But they were very helpful in referring me to Nespresso. My experience was Nespresso was equally helpful. They are open 24/7. They were kind and helpful. We tried to trouble shoot and do a factory reset. It still leaks. The rep said sometimes an inner seal is faulty and it’s an easy fix. We will be set a replacement. Does this deter me from recommending or loving the product??? Not at all. Defects happen, and coffeemakers.us.com and Nespresso were very helpful. I will post an update with the new machine.

    I purchased the VertuoPlus Black Deluxe Breville machine on Sunday, August 11, 2024. While the machine worked well for the first few weeks, it entered descaling mode during the second week of September—only a month after we received it. Despite multiple attempts to descale the machine on my own and with the help of customer service, it remained stuck in descaling mode. I spoke with customer service three times—once on Sept. 17, again on Sept. 18, and a final time on Sept. 21. On the 21st, customer service finally agreed to let me send the machine in. It was returned a few weeks later, missing the capsule container, but appeared to be working again. As of today, October 15, 2024, the machine is once again stuck in descaling mode. This machine cost me over $150, and I was only able to use it without issues for a little over a month. This has been a waste of both my time and money.

    If you’re like me, as in you don’t have the time to make coffee drinking more than what it is (espeesso snob). this is your machine. love the ease of use, no drama! Love the 1 button operation. It gets you a nice hot brew in 30sec. The deluxe model has a larger water tank capacity. I tried the delonghi and the breville both deluxe and I must say the Breville wins in terms of built quality. Noise level is not a concern as it brews fast and operates smoothly when opening and closing so it won’t wake the dead up. I like the design of the breville more but that’s a personal preference. It is so worth it. Honestly The only issue of this machine is that it’s by Nespresso = Nestle’ but.. what is not!!?

    I love my new Nespresso machine. I did a lot of research in the different variations and settled on this as it checked more boxes on my wishlist than some of the others. I appreciate the various size coffee options this machine makes. It doesn’t do iced coffee which I’m okay with. It also doesn’t brew a carafe or the equivalent of a typical American sized travel mug which is a bit of a negative but not a deal breaker for me. The design of the machine is well thought out and offers a nice smallish footprint. I like that the water reservoir in the back has the ability to fold either left, right, or center giving better options on where it can be placed. I have been annoyed at the lid of the water reservoir as it is unnecessarily difficult to open so I added a small drawer knob to the lid (see photo). The machine is simple and sleek with a super clever lift function the the lid and only a single button needed to operate. There’s no maximum fill besides the physical capacity of the reservoir but be sure to keep at least a third of the tank filled with water so it doesn’t run dry when brewing. I do wish the small stand that your mug rests on was larger though! I have a double walled insulated glass mug and it hits the is die portion of the machine and the bottom edge of the mug rests on the edge of the tiny stand. It’s a bit inconvenient! With the vast selection of coffee options on the Nespresso site you’re sure to find blends to suit your style. Add a countertop milk frothier to the mix and you will save tons of money by not going to your local overpriced brew house. I absolutely love my machine! As I truly feel that user reviews are the best way to gauge a product before you buy, I hope you’ve found this review helpful. Cheers!

    4th update: Long journey, we sent the machine to repair, took long but so far so good,, it’s been almost a year and it is still working; since I suspected was the rubber that holds the pod… we have kept the machine open… can’t tell if that’s the reason why this machine is still working good but I am not going to do the opposite just to know. 3rd update: After a month and a Half… BAM starts to leak again, same problem… now I can’t even complaint, surfed the Breville’s web page for customer support, followed the system… and this machine doesn’t even exist as an option. I am trying to reach an coffeemakers.us.com in order to solve this problem, reading all the other complaints I DO FEEL SCAM, too many people complaining about the same, they know what are they selling. I had a refund, I wish my machine at least worked for a year, I love Nespresso… guess I need to dig and research for a better option for a vertuo machine. 2nd update: I insisted a second time and found an agent that finally helped me and soon will have a replacement, hopes are not lost, I am happy I didn’t give up. Update: Terrible! It started to leak and took me a few days to realize what was happening because it started like a small thing and now it’s a disaster. It leaks coffee and since I contacted coffeemakers.us.com 3 days after return window… I dont get any help on fixing this problem. I see many ppl complaining about the same. Our Keurig recently died (almost 5 years) so we were looking for a replacement, found an offer on black friday and BAM! We are hook. The quality of the coffee is great, pods aren’t cheap but if you compare how much money you spend on a single drink on starbucks… this is a good deal, is very easy to operate, we found even refillable pods to be more green. Cant deny that you have more options with the Keurig but honestly they got too expensive and now I love to have this new machine, a good change to spice the coffee.

    I was on the fence about buying a coffee machine, didn’t want another appliance just hogging up kitchen counter space. However, I was sold watching some videos on Instagram of some drinks being made. When it arrives, it comes with a decent amount of free samples for you to try out and choose which ones you love and reorder again. I’ve made coffee probably every single day since it arrived, which has replaced the almost daily Starbucks run I was doing. I love the ease of use, intelligence and quality of the machine. I also love the knowledge it possesses in determining how much water to put out depending on the pod selected. Only downside is it doesn’t warn you when there is too little water to make the programmed sized cup, it’ll just try and make it with whatever amount of water is remaining. Other than what, no issues. Pod are decently priced, lots of flavor and style options (espresso, doubles, coffee, iced coffee, jumbo coffees etc). The company offers free bags with postage to recycle the pods. I love to try and be as sustainable as possible which is great to have this available.

    This countertop Nespresso Breville exceeds every expectation we had, and has made mornings a joy because of the unit’s ease of use, speed of brewing, and excellent engineering. Ours brews approximately 16 ounces of perfect cappuccino in about three minutes. Unlike the advertisements which show a glass cup on the adjustable “shelf,” no cup is included with the unit—but most any cup or mug will fit under the spout of the machine. Other than refilling the water tank after about five cups of coffee, the unit is maintenance-free. When the dome-shaped top is opened by lifting a crescent-shaped lever, the used “pod”’is automatically ejected into a holding tank on the rear of the unit, making room for a new “pod.” Unlike steam-type cappuccino machines, this unit is remarkably quiet in operation. Best of all, it brews consistently excellent coffee.

    Nespresso coffee pods are more expensive than other name brands but the coffee is so delicious and smooth! The machine is compact, simple to use and looks great and I love that is has a used pod holder and movable water tank and that Nespresso offers recycling bags (free of charge).
