   After 2+ years of daily use, I’m still impressed with how great this machine is. I’ve been using the 1-cup feature a lot during the week (working from home), and it’s far better and cheaper than pods. The cold brew and ice coffee options are also surprisingly good. For half and full pots, I recommend the glass carafe, which is dishwasher safe (top rack) and super easy to clean. The glass carafe option comes with a hot-plate to keep your coffee from getting cold. The only minor negative I see is the machine isn’t tall enough for larger travel mugs. If you’re a daily user of a tall travel mug, you’ll have to use the carafe and fill your mug from that. My Starbucks travel mug fits just fine, so I don’t see this as a big issue.

   I am a coffee snob. I was tired of the long pour over coffee process that I’ve done every morning for years so I looked into coffee makers. Let me tell you, this is the best purchase I’ve made all year. I love the taste of the coffee. The cold brew option is what prompted me to buy the machine. It does take between 10 and 15 mins, but the fact that it brews as such a low temperature and barely melts the ice is totally worth the wait. I read reviews that the water reservoir leaks for some people, I’ve never experienced that problem and I brew coffee twice a day. The machine is easy to clean and I love the reusable filter. The milk frothy is also easy to use and powerful. I’ve recommended this coffee maker to all my friends and family. If you love fast, great tasting coffee you need this coffee maker!

   I came back to this product page looking for help on how to stop the water reservoir from leaking. As some have mentioned in previous reviews (which I neglected to read before I purchased mine), some days it’s fine, other days you wake up to your countertop covered in water. I thought I was possibly seating the container improperly, but it looks like the gasket between the base and the reservoir valve is prone to fail. Mine lasted about 6 months before it started occurring often enough to realize it was a problem. Now I keep a baking sheet under the unit and remove the reservoir while not in use. Kinda sucks, since having the water always available to make a quick cup of tea or coffee was one of the perks I bought this for. Some have also mentioned how the filter baskets sometimes drip out of all four corners instead of just draining from the center hole. Mine did that after a couple months of regular use, but I found it to be caused from a sticky rubber washer that is in the bottom of each filter basket. If you take them apart and clean each piece regularly, the coffee/tea will flow out of the center hole instead of being misdirected out all sides. Luckily, I have not had any electrical or mechanical problems with the unit functioning properly as of yet, but that may just be because I have never used the cleaning cycle. The clean button has yet to light up on my unit since I bought it 9 months ago. Some reviews have mentioned that their unit stopped working completely after using the clean button, so not sure I want to try it now. I still love my unit for what it does do. Since I live at 10,000 ft, having the ability to adjust the settings for high altitude and not have my coffee and tea boiled when brewed is a huge plus for me. Being able to make single servings for my different size mugs is very convenient, too. After paying $150 for the most expensive coffee maker I’ve ever owned, I will deal with the leaks till it no longer works.

   After looking for months at numerous coffee makers and reading far too many reviews, I finally settled on this Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System. I opted for this one for three reasons: (1) it has great reviews; (2), it allows me to brew different sizes of both coffee and tea; and (3) it has reusable filters. I also have a Ninja blender that I’ve had now for 6 or 7 years and it works great. I love it and have used it a lot with no problems. So I know Ninja products have good quality. When the machine arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to set-up. The reusable coffee filter was already in it. I basically had to wash the parts (carafe, frother, measuring scoop), rinse the reusable filters, then attached the frother. I opted for the glass carafe instead of the thermal since I really won’t be using it that much anyway. Set-up really just involves running two full water reservoirs through it first. Easy peasy. I then programmed it to do a travel mug for 6:45am the next morning. The machine recognizes which filter is in it, and then it’s super easy to program the time and what you want. Please be aware that you do have to leave the machine on all night when you program it (that doesn’t bother me, but I know some people may not like leaving the machine on all night). At 6:45, I heard the machine start doing it thing. I walked into the kitchen a few minutes later to find my travel mug full and ready to go. The coffee (Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Co. Kona Sunrise) brewed perfectly! Since then, I have also brewed a single mug of specialty coffee (brews 4 oz.) and a half carafe with no problems. I haven’t tried the tea yet, but I expect it to work similarly to the coffee. The frother works great. It’s also easy to use and the milk was very frothy. The only very minor thing is the frother is basically just a whisk. There’s no steam like on an espresso machine, so if you want warm milk, you have to microwave it first. But that’s a minor issue and does not detract from how awesome this coffee/tea machine is. A measuring scoop comes with it and has a spot on the side where it fits. Overall, I am super happy with it. The Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System is a bit more expensive than many other coffee makers, but it also has a lot more functionality. For me, the functionality combined with its ease of use and brand reputation is worth the price. Highly recommend.

   Yeah, just look at the pictures. I’ve cleaned this thing so many times. Grounds flood my coffee constantly. I think the brewer is closing too soon before all the water drains, so it just floods itself. Grounds overflow out of the filter and into the dripper, and into my coffee from there. This thing is so irritating. Not worth the money.

   Had this for three or four weeks now and absolutely love it! Our old coffee maker brewed way too fast, and always disappointed me with flavor. Once you learn this machine (very small learning curve) you love the coffee it makes. What I like best: 1) Brews to four different cup sizes, as well as a half or full carafe. No more having to guess how much water to add. 2) Takes its time to brew my coffee just right. 3) Easily switches from coffee to tea by changing baskets. 4) Has separate settings to adjust time and temperature for different teas. 5) Convenient measuring scoop attached to the side of the machine. 6) Removable reservoir. I just pop it off anytime I’m thinking of it to make sure it is full and ready for use whenever I want a beverage. Easy peasy. One less thing to do when I’m ready for coffee. 7) Programmable with a memory. I have it set up to brew my wife’s coffee every morning. All I do is push the button before going to bed. It remembers her cup size and strength level automatically. What I dislike……The only thing so far I dislike is that it is made in China. I was disappointed when I received it and saw that. Hoping they move their production elsewhere soon. I haven’t used the blender on the side of the machine yet. Can not speak to that. And, since I’ve had this machine such a short time I can’t speak to durability either. But all in all I love this coffee maker 💕 .

   I really like this it works much like the original one, with improvements, drip stop much better, the automaticity is great, I like how the steam doesn’t flow out of the top on the older system. The options are great it does take a little to get used to as far a operation, but that is really nothing . The coffee’s flavor is just so good with these! The only reason I had to replace my old one was decay from our hyper mineralized water which causes a lot of problems. The solution for that was a reverse osmosis water filter. I’m very happy with these coffee makers, my local coffee shop can’t collect my money anymore 🤑. We’ve been using so many ninja products lately I’m generally a happy customer with them (except vacuums). The value for the money is excellent, the counter space footprint is fine for me! The drip stop works very well but be aware of the little bit of coffee left in the basket. It keeps the area clean . Great work Ninja!

   This is a follow up to my initial review. For the price, this should be a WAY better functioning coffee maker. Pros- -it looks pretty. -there are separate filters for making coffee and tea so the flavors don’t get mixed. -the smaller capacity function is a great function. I’ve been making half carafes for a few days now. The measuring spoon really helps. -the buttons and knobs are easy to understand. I was making coffee in less than 15 minutes of setup. -the water indicator will let you know if you run out of water before completing the brewing process. This happened to me today. -you can choose between “rich” or lighter coffee. I have only tried the rich coffee. That means that there will be very fine grounds in the bottom of the mug- kind of a not so thick version of Turkish coffee. But it’s not the grounds that one might spit out. They are very powdered. I’m pretty sure the lighter brew doesn’t have the fine grounds at the bottom. -the measuring spoon has a side hanging hook. While it doesn’t snap into place, it hangs fine and hasn’t fallen from its holder. -the spoon has coffee measurements on the cupped side and tea measurements on the reverse side. Just one spoon. I thought there were 2. Less clutter. Nice. -there are some easy specialty coffee and tea recipes in the instruction manual. I haven’t tried them, but after reading, they should be easy to make. Cons: -there is NO PROGRAMABLE FUNCTION. If you want coffee ready as you wake up, this isn’t the machine. – NO AUTO-STOP BREWING FUNCTION if the carafe is removed to fill your cup. My old Cuisinart will stop dripping for a quick pour. -FROTHER FUNCTION IS MINIMAL. If you want hot frothed milk, instructions say to microwave milk first then use the frother. And don’t microwave it in a metal pitcher, lol -CLEANUP IS NOT SIMPLE. Instructions say it is top rack dishwasher safe- too talk for the top rack. I have to use a rubber spatula with a paper towel to clean the inside. – the water reservoir tank could be bigger. I make 1/2 carafes each time.    Needed to replace a regular coffeemaker for the house. My husband wanted to get something a little nicer than our last one. After looking on coffeemakers.us.com for awhile, we decided on this Ninja and I am not disappointed!!! The ONLY complaint I have is the splattering and condensation that other reviews mention, but I have to say I don’t mind wiping the coffeemaker down in exchange for everything Ninja did RIGHT on this coffeemaker. First, the single cup modes… I used to have a Keurig and never really liked it. The pods were wasteful and the reusable pods were messy. This is so EASY. I actually have made more coffee this way than I thought I would! The half pot and full pot brewing modes work just as well. Taste is phenomenal! For single cup, half pot, and full pot modes! I have never been disappointed. The built in scoop was something I thought was unnecessary, but it’s now one of my favorite features. And wow…. cold brew mode. A feature I DEFINITELY didn’t think I needed, but it is so nice to skip Starbucks in the afternoon and make iced coffee at home. I am never going back to a regular coffee maker.

    This coffee maker is great! Well thought out, everything you could really ask for in a coffee maker. And most importantly, makes a great cup of coffee. The coffee maker comes with a coffee basket and a tea basket so no flavors are ever mixed. Nice touch. The removable baskets have a flat gasket to prevent the coffee from dripping when the maker is done. It probably also holds the water in contact with the grounds before it is discharged into your cup or carafe. The issue is the small gasket can easily become dislodged and disappear. A wear item such as this should be available for replacement. However, it is not. You have to purchase the entire removable filter holder at $15. I have owned the coffee maker for just under a year. Luckily for now, I am using the one from the tea holder. I purchased high temperature silicone gasket material and gasket cutters to make my own. It may cost double the price, but I should be able to make plenty of gaskets for the life of the product. It’s too bad they do not stand behind their product better unless you want to spend $15 annually for a new basket to replace a $0.50 gasket.

    I received this yesterday and was disappointed to find that it was not new, although, I did purchase it as new. There were coffee spills on it, water stains, and finger prints. I did put in a return and ordered a new one, but it’s Super Bowl Sunday and I have people coming over and we will need coffee! So I turned it on and tested all the functions and all seem to be working fine. I decided to cancel the return and the new order and see how this holds up over the 30 day return period. (If someone returned it then something might be wrong with it so we will see..) I really am disappointed that it wasn’t new since I paid the price for a new product and not used. Aside from that, I do like the features so far. It isn’t leaking (yet) like other reviewers said it does. I tried the classic brew, the cold brew, and the tea brew all in cups (trying the full carafe this morning). I used the scoops per the instructions and it tasted a little watery so I’m going to up it a scoop or two. The coffee and tea brewed fast. The cold brew took about 10 mins as expected. Everything tasted great and it was very easy to use. I also used the frother which works great and is a nice addition. I’ll update my review later down the line if any issues arise.

    My husband and I are all day, every day java drinkers! Our coffee machine is important! I researched for days, reading reviews, looking at functions, looking for extras. I found it!! This Ninja machine IS a machine. It is a nice size, fits under standard cabinets, is quiet and I have had no issues with ‘steaming’ or leaking, at all. The frother is sooo much fun. We super enjoyed frothing for our coffee. No, it does not heat the milk but, come on, most coffee machines are a turnaround and step or two from the microwave. Nuke some milk for 30-40 seconds, froth for 30, boom! Great coffee at home! We have had Cuisinart and Keurig. This Ninja has them both beat. This is our first one in years that isn’t a k-cup maker. I was a bit nervous about that but took a chance. Glad I did!! It is so nice to have the scooper and frother on the side with their own little hide away slots! You can set the amount of time to keep the pot warm. We keep ours for 2 hrs. Let’s be truthful. Who lets a pot of coffee sit for over 2 hrs without enjoying every cup? Right! NO burnt taste. That was key to giving this machine 5 stars. To a coffee lover, there is nothing worse than burnt tasting coffee. I am excited to make some iced tea and try the recipe book! I’ll be back for that review. In the meantime, if you are looking for a great coffee machine that does everything you want, look no further! Ninja has swooped in.     I’ve only had this a short time but if your really looking for a good coffee maker this it. The smallest size is perfect for your traditional size mug if you are doing a single serve. I expected it brew slow because of the traditional style but it brewed fast like a keurig. I like strong coffee so the rich setting and 4 small scoops worked well for me. I haven’t used the frother or the pot but I’ll update this when I do. My coffee was not bitter. I buy coffee beans and grind them at home and the coffee cut through so nice. It taste great. I had another single serve in the past using k cups but I started buying coffee and filling up the reusable filter. And since I was using coffee and not k cups that is what drew me to this product. If you preferr the convenience of a keurig you will still like this for a single serve. There’s not preheating like a keurig. It doesn’t take k cups but I didn’t use them anyway. It doesn’t take up much space. It’s a nice size. For me and my needs it was worth every penny.

    I bought this coffee maker in 2022 to replace my Keurig because I learned that conventional coffee is among the most heavily chemically treated foods in the world and at the time Keurig did not offer any organic coffee options and the plastic pods can be toxic because they can release chemicals into your coffee. It’s been three years since I made the switch and I haven’t looked back. Not only am I making a less expensive, healthier cup of coffee, but I have a lot more flexibility with the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System. We have used this coffee maker practically every day since we bought it and it works like a dream. It’s easy to clean and makes a great cup of coffee. There are only two things that could make this coffee maker any better. The first would be if the frother heated the milk during frothing (I had to buy a separate frother for that). The second would be if there was a built in coffee grinder, as I like to grind my own coffee to ensure the freshest tasting coffee.

    This makes a GOOD STRONG HOT cup of coffee not sure what other reviewers did or got but mine makes a nice hot cup and it’s very strong! The frother works but not as well as my immersion blender when it comes to making whipped topping with heavy whipping cream but that’s to be expected this is just a piece of metal that vibrates and it does the trick, I use heavy whipping cream in my coffee because I’m on keto but I frothed almond milk and it bubbled nicely to so I assume milk or coffee creamers will aswell because almond milk isn’t as thick and it still frothed. Want something absolutely delicious in your coffee try this: use HOT heavy whipping cream and melted butter and sweetener it makes an awesome Bulletproof Coffee froth that is sweet and salty and rich a KETO MUST TRY! NOTE: it doesnt heat the cream. So far I have only used the rich setting becuase I like a dark cup of coffee and I followed the amount instructions, first time I went heavy with the grinds because I read reviews and didnt trust it to make a strong cup but boy was I wrong I made a full craft used 6 heaping scoops and had to make a xl travel cup to top it off because it was so strong….now I know 5 to 6 regular scoops with my dark roast coffee will yield a super strong perfect full pot….BEWARE THE THERMAL CRAFT maker does not come with the stay hot heated plate and your paying $60 more when i saw this in other reviews i went with the glass craft and hit the stay warm button and saved myself $60…its not pipping hot after a hr but its warm….I love a super hot cup so I expect after a hr to reheat it anyways but for company it’s good enough…I cant speak on how hot the thermal pot would keep the coffee but for 60$ I’ll nuke it!….my only complaint so far is it sucks to clean the pot its narrow at the top so I can hardly fit my small hand inside to scrub but if you have a brush you will be fine and the lid is a little tricky to open and close but not a big deal at all just things I’m pointing out…also the water canister is a little hard to get on and off I feel like I’m going to break it when it comes off it COMES OFF AND FLYS WITH FORCE LOL so keep a good grip on it. And my last NOTE is I have to pull the maker out to fill the canister with water if I leave it on the unit so I just take it on and off again it’s a bit tight to pull off and I have to pull it out to empty the grounds because both dont clear my cabinet height…that’s a little annoying but not worth complaining about just noting….my friend came over had a cold brew and she fell inlove just like that she ordered the maker right then and there (fyi cold brew brews luke warm but very delicious strong coffee ready for ice or heat it up if your like me and want a cup of hot cold brew lol) there isn’t anything like this I searched and read lots of reviews and asked around this was the best option for me my must have were….frother, rich brew option, ice coffee brew and then the cold brew(no one offers this option so it was a bonus), full craft or single cup brew(wanted a k cup compatible but this one is not and I’m getting to be ok with it, it brews slightly slower and I have to empty and clean the filter but its seriously not that big of a deal, the coffee is better tasting becuase it brews by steeping so all grounds get wet and soak for a bit before dumping in the mug making a richer cup, my kurig only shot hot water down the center of the cup so if you opened the cup after brewing the grounds on the sides were dry! WHAT A WASTE NO WONDER MY COFFEE WAS NEVER RICH LIKE THIS! So I have to clean a bit more thats why they make paper filter inserts lol and now I wait like 2 mins longer for it to brew becuase its steeping not a deal breaker worth the wait in my eyes)

After a brewing cycle, there’s still some water left standing in the basket. This excess water can cause an overflow, enabling coffee grounds to find their way into the space between the filter, and ultimately, they end up in the carafe. My brewing approach involves using five scoops of medium-fine ground coffee and cycling through three separate modes—cold brew, specialty, and cold brew again—to fill the carafe. However, this process results in about a quarter to half a teaspoon of coffee grounds ending up in the carafe. Conversely, when I utilize the classic or rich modes (a single mode) with a higher water temperature, the coffee grounds froth within the basket and filter, as expected.     We got rid of our Keurig because coffee pods are a problem with environment waste and they make inferior coffee. The Ninja CP301 is so wonderful. It’s been a joy to use and is easy to operate. I love the different options for sizes and brew types. My husband has an erratic schedule so when he’s home, I make a full carafe, pour myself a travel mug and leave the rest warming for him to drink. When we are both out the door at different times, the option to make a travel mug size is just what we need. On weekends when we are both home and consume a full carafe but one of us needs just a bit more, just brewing a cup is the solution. I love to drink iced coffee during the summer and milk based coffees from time to time so having both these options available on one machine was what made me decide to purchase this machine.     I used to have a job as the manager of an espresso shop. I am snobby about my coffee (and tea). Anyone who knows about the intricacies of balanced drip coffee flavor knows that a great deal depends on the TEMPERATURE of the brew. An ideal coffee brew should be brewed between 195 F and 200F. This machine delivers. Brewed at the perfect temperature, you can brew cheap coffee grounds or high-end fresh ground beans and both come out with outstanding well-balanced flavor. I used to own the previous version (CF091 model) and I upgraded to this CP301 because I drink a lot of Tea as well. I’ll give several model comparisons. I have found the CP301 to brew at more consistent temperatures (and hotter) than the CF091. Very pleased. Teas are also especially sensitive to temperature. While Herbal teas can be brewed with boiling water, some of the more delicate teas require a slightly lower temperature to enjoy the full bodied flavor without scorching. This machine makes exceptional tea as well and has temperature variation for tea temps. You won’t need to adjust your machine, just select the kind of tea you are brewing and it adjusts the temperature accordingly. Herbal 208F, Black Tea 189-205F, Oolong 185-199F, White Tea 180-190F, Green Tea 165-178F Some details on the machine: –11″ (deep) including carafe handle x 12″ (wide) with frother folded [extended frother adds 4.7″ to width of unit] x 15″ (high) **note: this unit is TALL and may not fit under low cabinets. You will not want to operate this unit under cabinetry because it does release steam and may damage your cabinetry. Also, the water reservoir needs to be lifted UP to remove and fill, so you will require extra few inches height clearance to operate and fill the machine. –the water reservoir is 9.5″ high when removed. This is taller than the CF091 model. The old model was short enough to fit under my water cooler spout, this one is a little too tall. –single serve brewing is fantastic and offers a lot of options for cup sizes. The included measuring spoon takes out the guess work and I found that using their guide yields both perfect coffee and tea as long as you make the scoops heaping. Coffee measurements on front of scoop, loose leaf tea measurements on the back of scoop in green. The scoop shows all the different cup and carafe sizes offered in the machine. This is a great option if you are used to a Keurig machine as you can single serve brew for yourself at a fraction of the cost. –There are multiple options to make adjustments to your brewer: High altitude setting to adjust for boiling point, warming plate can be set to off, or adjust your time up to 4 hours with auto shut off at the end. Default setting is 2 hours with HOT set plate. Can be changed to WARM set plate to avoid scorching your coffee left for long periods of time. There is a “delay brew” option you can set to the time you want it ready in the morning. –Use #4 paper cone filters or included wire mesh permanent filter (included) [I use paper filters for both coffee and tea because I find the clean up easier] I find the mesh coffee filter lets through too much sediment for my fine grinds. The tea insert comes with its own filter and works great, but I still prefer to use a paper filter with loose leaf teas because clean up is a breeze. –DISHWASHER! The glass carafe, brew-through lid, permanent filters, removable filter holders, water reservoir, flip-top lid, frother whisk, and scoop are top-rack dishwasher safe. [this is according to the manufacture guide] –FROTHER– the milk frother folds away when not in use. It works REALLY well. It does NOT heat the milk & is not a steamer, only froths. For warm drinks, I fill my mug with a little milk and sugar, place in microwave for 30 seconds, then froth. You can operate the frother and maker at the same time. Coffee can be brewed directly into that cup, or poured from the carafe. For cold drinks and iced coffee with cream, simply froth cold milk and add to iced coffee, it gives a perfect velvety texture to your drinks. You can even use the frother with liquid whipping cream! For whipping cream, be sure to use a very cold glass cup. (store one in the freezer.) –A simple half twist removes the frother attachment. I just twist and immediately run under hot water after each use and it stays clean. If you allowed milk to dry on it, simply twist off and place in dishwasher to sanitize and you’re back in business. You can use any kind of milk with the frother (almond, soy, non-fat, etc.) Non-fat dairy milk will give you the most foam. If you like lots of foam, hold the frother at an angle just at the surface of the milk and your milk will double or more in size. –Intuitive: One of the things I was curious about before getting the machine was if it would remember my settings. It does! When I put in the tea filter holder, it remembers my last used setting for TEA. When I put in the coffee filter holder, it remembers my last used setting for coffee. This is fantastic, and makes the machine practical for switching between brew types. –Iced: You can brew iced coffee or tea over ice directly into the included glass carafe or make one cup at a time. I did not think I would use the “cold brew” feature, but once I tried it, I was HOOKED. I no longer go to Starbucks any more. I brew iced coffee right at home and it is smooth, sweet and delicious (not bitter at all.) PROs: makes great iced and hot coffee and tea with a multitude of sizing options. Cheaper than buying pods with better results from a fresh grind. Permanent filters included for both coffee and tea or use #4 paper cone filters. Separate coffee and tea filters & holders ensure no mingling flavors. Milk frother is easy to clean and use- the perfect accessory if you love velvety coffee house drinks. Auto shut off can be programed to run from 0-4 hours. Smaller overall footprint than the CF091. The largest travel size mug you will be able to clear is 8″ high (my Yeti 30 ounce clears, but just barely.) This has eliminated a great deal of gadgets in my kitchen. I got rid of two milk frothers, tea balls, tea pot, tea strainers, French press, and pour over coffee maker. I purchased (separate) the Ninja double wall plastic pitcher and can brew a fresh pot of drinkable iced tea in about ten minutes. I brew straight into the pitcher and store it in my fridge. No more waiting all day for sun tea or waiting for tea to cool to drink iced. Ninja Coffee Bar 50-Ounce Double-Wall Tritan Over Ice Carafe for Iced Coffee and Tea (CFICE50W) CONs: It’s really tall and needs an open space on your countertop to function properly. The drip-stop is automatic ONLY at the end of the brewing cycle. If you want to pause during brew, you need to press the drip stop button before and after removing/replacing carafe to pause and resume brewing. The glossy black surface is prone to fingerprints and won’t match all kitchens. I would have preferred a matte neutral surface (or stainless) on the majority of the appliance.     EDIT*** Somewhere in the last year or so I somehow managed to lose the rubber washer that is held in the bottom of the basket by a spring mechanism. My guess is that while cleaning the basket I must have dislodged the washer. Never did find it. I borrowed the washer from the TEA basket to hold me over (I never have used the tea basket) but I figured that it might be prudent to find a suitable replacement… just in case I lost the other washer. I DID find a great replacement at Home Depot… (see image) and it works just as well as the original. But finding this was a sort of challenge. It was in one of those ‘drawer’s of specialty hardware in the hardware isle… and it was totally unmarked/mismarked.. but luck was on my side (for once). So anyway… just wanted to post a picture showing the part number so that if you do need a replacement washer… you might find it here on coffeemakers.us.com.. or one of the box stores. This is the best dang coffee maker I have ever owned. A bit expensive but for us it has made great coffee consistently every day we’ve had it except one or two ‘weird’ experiences. The coffee comes out rich, dark and without any bitterness. The temperature is as hot as you would want it to be… any hotter and you’d have to wait to drink it. Just a reliable coffee maker that makes outstanding coffee. We have only used the frother a handful of times and it works quite nicely. Only a couple of times have we made less than a full pot, and we’ve yet to try the ice tea or iced coffee settings. I almost chose a different coffee maker because of the ‘stupid’ name brand on this one. I mean, c’mon… ‘Ninja’ sounds like a kids toy or something! But I set that aside because of all of the excellent reviews and have been enjoying great coffee ever since. I find it (mostly) easy to clean. On the reservoir I dump any excess water out each morning, making sure to push in the little plunger seal at the bottom in order to drain the water trapped under that little membrane. I had read some reviews that commented that mildew or mold was collecting. We have had no issue with this. The opening to the coffee pot itself is waaay too small to get my hands down inside to clean… so I bought one of those sponge on a stick things and that works fine. The machine is supposed to ‘alert’ you when descaling is required…. and ours apparently has not gotten to that point even after a year of use. Last weekend I went ahead and descaled with vinegar and water… ran a couple of ‘rinse’ cycles and never experienced any off taste…. at all. I love my morning coffee black with no sugar…. but whatever coffee is left over from breakfast I funnel into an empty plastic water bottle, add hazelnut creamer and place in the freezer for 2-3 hours and it comes out a sort of semi-frozen coffee slush that makes for an outstanding thirst quencher. Enjoying one now… as a matter of fact. I am glad to be able to give this coffee maker a positive review as we have enjoyed the quality of coffee it produces for the last year or so… in spite of the silly name.

    I really love this new coffee machine. It fits perfectly under my cabinets and with the sliding filter feature I don’t need to move it back and forth constantly to use. I love how the water tank comes out and how easy everything is to clean. I like that I can make so many various coffees and teas in various sizes. I love everything about this machine EXCEPT for the sludge. I switched from using kcups to this machine and still had some left over. I opened the cups and put the grinds into the mesh filter which works. However this mesh filter doesn’t hold the finer coffee grinds resulting in a layer of thick coffee sludge and grinds at the bottom of the coffee cup. I wish I would have read the reviews because now I have to buy paper coffee filters to put into my mesh filter in order to use properly and not have this nasty layer at the bottom. I haven’t tried with bag coffee grinds yet but I’m sure I’ll have the same issue

    Initial review: Love the overall design of the machine. The frother works pretty well, coffee brewed is good, carafe feels sturdy. However, as is shown in the picture, there is a broken little plastic in the water reservoir that I couldn’t identify where it belongs to. If anything changes I will update the review.

    Ten cup Ninja Coffee maker is my favorite drip coffee maker I have ever had! HOT , nice hot coffee. Really. Keeps the coffee HOT for hours. Not warm, nice and hot. Makes a ten cup carafe of coffee pretty fast too and has a program feature for delayed brews. Lights tell you the progress of the perking coffee and I like that feature also. Many options of sizes and a side swing out milk frother that works very well . I recommend using 2% milk because it froths better. It not hard on the eyes like some either, pretty nice looking. I have had mine since February and its May now, still works like it did when it was new, still HOT coffee. Glass carafe cleans up easy but I have small hands. I would buy it again or gift it out.
