   I LOVE this tiny french press. I originally bought it just for traveling because of the size. Now I actually use it everyday for my morning cup of coffee. It presses nicely with no grounds in your cup when you pour. It makes about 10oz of coffee. I have had several people ask me where I bought it because it really is so cute and the perfect size for travel or camping. I am also obsessed with tiny things so this just makes me smile every time I use it.

   We had one similar to this and I broke it. I thought this would be an ideal replacement but it isn’t. The single serving is perfect, color is nice but plastic around the top split. My husband used a tie wrap to fix it. He uses it, but I’m very unhappy with it.

    Because it’s so small my daughter burned her hand twice pressing down. She didn’t add that much water either. The hot water flew out of the top. Can’t return either because the second time she got burnt she jumped and the press fell and got a chip so I threw it away. Don’t recommend.

    Functional, cute, makes a small single cup of coffee, but it gets dirty. Coffee grounds get between the plastic and glass. The glass doesn’t come out and can break fairly easily – unfortunately, I found this out and got 6 stitches.

    I bought two of these, as one arrived with cracked glass and I wasn’t able to return it (my shipping problem, not coffeemakers.us.com.) Both were identically made, no QC problems it seems.

    The plastic frame is perfect because I can put it in the microwave – without the metal plunger! – to heat the water. It’s a fast way to heat up just the amount of water you need. The size is just right for me, too, one coffee mug full.

    The plunger and filter mesh come apart for cleaning just like any other press. The filter mesh isn’t as high quality as the high dollar presses, but it hardly seem to matter. And the color reminds me of our avocado green stove we had in the 70s.

    I ordered this French press in Blue, but I received this beige one. The nondescript box include an Oggi brand tag inside, but this color isn’t listed as an option. The design looks cheaper and much less sturdy. I give it 3 stars because it does work effectively, even with finely ground Illy coffee. But, I requested a return because it isn’t as advertised. Second time in 2-ish months I’ve had type of problem. You’ve gotta do better, coffeemakers.us.com.
