Update::: But…. the little rubber screen on the inside of the spout just came out during washing & I didnt realize it. When I found the rubber piece, the metal screen was missing & idk where to even find another one.

   I really like this gallon-sized cold brew coffee maker! It’s about the size of a large almond milk container, so it doesn’t take up too much space in the fridge, making it super convenient. I used about 1.75 cups of regular drip coffee and let it sit for 24 hours, and it produced the perfect concentration and flavor. The fine filter holds the grounds well, though a coarser grind might be better to avoid a little sediment, but even with drip-style, most of it settles below the spout, so it doesn’t end up in your glass. The spigot is sturdy and doesn’t drip, and the airtight lid keeps your brew fresh for longer. Plus, it comes with a handy cleaning brush! All in all, seems to be a good all-arounder. I’m pretty impressed, and would definitely recommend it!

   First cold brew I ever had and I am very happy. It was easy to clean out of box. No issues with leaks. Basket for grounds is very sturdy and seems durable. I made one batch so far with no issues. Tap is metal and feels heavy duty. Definitely would buy again and recommend to anyone. Coffee taste completely different to me. Took all the bitterness away and haven’t had any issues with the acid I usually get from drinking coffee. If any issues develop I will revise.

   I purchased two of these so that we could alternate days on cold brews. I have been using them for a couple of months now. Works well enough to make coffee which should be a given. That being said the unit holds enough liquid to make it heavy. When picking it up the natural reaction is to use the lid for a grip to put it into the fridge. this is where the issues are. The lid just fits on ok and does not have the tight fight that a mason jar has. So if not careful it will slip off. I have not dropped one yet but it is very possible if you are not paying attention. This is not a low-cost item for what it is and this should have been addressed when they engineered it. Ironically, they used the effort it would have taken to improve this flaw to include a political message that I do not want or need at a time when we are bombarded with this insanity. To the seller: if you are living outside of the US and do not understand this message please educate yourself. If you do live inside the US it is time to fire whoever came up with this idea. Two ears and one mouth for obvious reasons. No canned response required.

   I am completely disappointed with the quality of this glass container. I bought this as a gift for my husband and he was only able to use it twice before it cracked in two places around the spigot. It cracked while in the refrigerator and of course 10 days past the return policy. Up until this point I know my husband was pleased in every way with the product. Now we have a stainless steel spigot and filter and nothing else to show for it. I would not recommend this product purely on the quality of the glassware. If it was not for this flaw, I would be giving this five stars just based off of my husband’s happiness prior to it cracking.

   Using this for cold brew coffee. Works great. I go with like 3 cups of course ground for 24 hours and it comes out great. Makes just enough to get me through the week on one brew which is sick. Sunday night start the brew… good to go through Friday. Didn’t have the leak issue others have mentioned. Just made sure to screw the spout on tight and no issues.

   For cleaning, use, and flavor this item gets 5 stars however overall it gets 1 star, I am not entirely sure HOW but this product was sold to us with a crack on the bottom, it’s too small to notice which is why it took so long to report it. I have been using this for a few months and we noticed that it was leaking in the fridge because it wasn’t happening quickly, consistently or right away we assumed it was an issue with sealing the bottle. However after multiple uses, we couldn’t determine what was causing it, however I was filling it up last night over a paper towel and noticed that the paper towel was starting to get coffee on it starting from one of the corners NOT the spout. Upon closer quick inspection (because I was still filling it up) I could not find nor feel the crack it was leaking through but that was sufficient proof for me to know that the product was shipped with the crack and has had it since the product was purchased. In the image you can see the fluid has leaked through the bottom of the container versus the spout. Which stinks because it’s an expensive product, and I can’t afford to just buy another one due to it being out of the return period. If you choose to get one check it thoroughly.

    We are so pleased with this order I had to write a quick review. Assembling was simple and only took 2 minutes. The design is sleek and fits well in the refrigerator. We let it brew for 18 hours… used filtered water as suggested. My wife and I had our first glass… Tastes great.. even BETTER than the coffee shop down the street. Super happy it can hold to up to a gallon of coffee. Well done Original Grind Coffee… well done!

    I’ve had a number of cold brew makers but this is the best I’ve seen so far. Most are far too small given the time it takes to make a pot that yields only a few glasses. This cold brew looks awesome and makes coffee for several days at least which is far more appealing. Sleek design and easy to use and clean so it sure has my vote 5/5 stars

    The size of the container is great for cold brew. I no longer have to make small batches every other day now. Easy to clean and fits in the fridge and sits on the edge of the shelve so I can fill my cup from there. And then microwave if needed. Price is good. It’s not heavy either and I like the filter so easy to fill and clean. I use bottled low ph8.5

    Got it as a gift. Made two brews that came out pretty good until the day I washed it with TAP hot water and it cracked all the way up the side of it. Horrible quality unless you want to never clean it. I wish I could get the $35 back for the person that got it for me. You can see in the photo it originates from the spigot and goes through the G and E all the way up the side. Also, if it was too tight, then it came out of the box that way because I pulled it straight out of the box and started using it.

    The product looks solid and sturdy. However, the seller recently replaced the jar with a thicker one but without a “Yorkshire” label (see the photo attached). The current seller’s photos do not reflect it. Beware if you value the aesthetics as much as good coffee.

    I’ve now owned this for over a month, the concept is great and I love using it however sadly the screw on lid is corrosive, especially if you make tea and coffee in it and it will rust. At first I though the insert was rusting but it was just a stain from the lid (which I’ve scrubbed the rust off before taking that photo). With every use you will have a ring of rust left from the lid like you see in my photos after about 2 uses. I tried putting some plastic wrap between the lid and insert to prevent this but that caused a vacuum to not allow the tea to flow out quickly so I abandoned that practice. As for the rest of the product it seems good, I love the concept, the valve I had no problems installing, no leaks either and they actually included a wrench as well. The valve seems a bit wiggly, not super well made but so far it’s working. They really need to provide a vented lid that isn’t corrosive for this product, if that were the case I’d give it a 5 star review. Thanks for reading, hopefully the manufacturer sees this and improves the product and/or helps us out that have rusting lids. Oh, and I tested the lid with a magnet to determine if it was stainless, also the insert.

    The coffee maker does make great coffee. It’s easy to clean and I love the large capacity. However, mine leaks like crazy. The photo is two days after the last time I used it. And it’s not only right after dispensing. It seems to drip every few hours and can’t tell why. I don’t want to go through the hassle or returning it but I do think there may be more leak-proof models out there.

    I’m not sure why there are any bad reviews at all for this product. With the exception of maybe receiving one that’s been damaged when it was shipped or people just not reading the instructions. I see people posting negative reviews with pictures of the glass jar being cracked or broken and have to assume it user error. The directions say to wash by hand and with warm water, of which I’m sure people are lazy and throw it in the dishwasher instead and clean it with really hot water. This can make the glass crack after repeated washes in the dishwasher and because of that, I just rinse and clean by hand. That and I use cold water to fill up the jar as well as using a glass cooking tray underneath to hopefully catch most of the coffee, if it should crack for some reason. I like that this one came in a box with directions, has a filter on the inside for coffee grounds and the lid/nozzle while being cheap stainless steel are still that, stainless steel. I put my fingertip over the nozzle after shutting it off to get any excess coffee out of it so that it doesn’t leak and besides that, I’ve yet to have any issues.
