   I love this potable espresso maker. This is great accessory for travel or camping. Easy to setup, use, and clean. it comes with 2 containers for your ground coffee and 1 container to use pods. It does take a bit to warm up if you are using cold water but it still makes a great shot.

   I got this for coffee on the go, and it can certainly do an adequate job of that. Depending on how you intend to use this device will greatly dictate how you feel about it though. There are two main concerns most folks will want addressed though: how does it heat water, and how does it deliver coffee. Water is heated kettle style; this was not what I was expecting as most pod-type coffee makers heat water inline. If you put in cold water and press the button briefly it will start a phase which heats the kettle portion up and then delivers coffee. If you put in hot water and press and hold the button it will immediately deliver coffee. Here’s the important thing: it does not pause at all, it goes straight from a lengthy heating process (maybe 5ish minutes) to pouring coffee. This might be fine while camping but isn’t great in most scenarios. Delivering coffee – It does this in two stages: a brief blooming and then it delivers a stream. It takes a bit longer than I feel is necessary and so delivers an over-extracted and acidic cup with very thin crema. It works with the original line type coffee pods perfectly fine but also has single and double shot portafilters for bringing your own coffee grounds. Overall impressions are good: the packaging is great, instructions are easy to read, the unit feels of good quality with gaskets everywhere to prevent leaking and is easy to clean. Lots of accessories are included. So many good things can be said, however the need to hold the unit in your hand over a cup while it heats up water is not great. So I would recommend using hot water to start the unit with and don’t even think of using it in the car. It will not deliver a lot of coffee and what it does deliver will be over-extracted if you use a normal espresso grind so think about a slightly larger grind setting. Unfortunately I can only give a 3/5 since there’s no reasonable way to work around the kettle heating issue. It will take a long time to heat the water and it will come out immediately just when you get tired of holding the unit. If the end cap were a little longer and could act as a cup then you could “set it and forget it” but the user experience needs a bit of work.

   If you love coffee, espresso, Americana, and more… this is a fabulous product. I can’t drink the terrible coffee that is in the hotels and don’t always want to go to the cafe and this portable machine will give you a much better brew than Starbucks! It makes a great gift for the person you know who is a coffee lover and is on the road. Business trips, camping or just taking a weekend road trip. You will love the ease, and the final product of making your coffee to go.

   I have nothing good to say about this other than it was a good idea that is horribly executed. It is only able to produce a 2-ounce espresso shot after a long, drawn-out process. The espresso that is made is not very good and there is very little, if any, creme created from the process. For the process, it is better to just throw ground beans into a pot of boiling water and drink that, it would have better flavor, and you wouldn’t have the cleanup and process to get the next espresso ready. Not worth the time, money or effort.

   I love this little coffee maker. The only thing that is mildly disappointing for me is that be process of using your own coffee is so finicky. Achieving the perfect pack of espresso grounds is quite tricky, if you apply to much force while tamping the grounds into the cartridge this machine will be unable to pass water through and the motor that pressurizes the system will lock up. However if you don’t pack them tightly enough the water passes through too quickly and you end up with a partial extraction.

   On the other hand using original nespresso pods results in a perfect coffee with minimal cleanup every time. I have found the battery capacity To be exactly as advertised. From fully discharged it took approximately 35 Watt hours of energy to bring it up to full. This is exactly enough for 4 cups of espresso. The overall build quality of this little coffee maker is excellent and well thought out as you merely remove the bottom cap place the metal stand ring on top of the cup cap and place the coffee maker within that ring. Then after approximately five minutes you have a tasty coffee.

   I bought this for my husband who is obsessed with his morning coffee. We like to go camping, but a lack of electricity means that we have to skip our morning cup of joe. This is the perfect solution because it is battery powered. It’s very easy to assemble and to use. It actually makes a really intense shot of espresso.    My wife jokes that she wants to take her Nespresso coffee maker everywhere with her. She loves it and the coffee it makes. When I saw this travel espresso maker from Beanztrip and that it works with Nespresso pods I grabbed it. I haven’t actually tried it with pods yet as our Nespresso works with a newer style pod and I don’t have any of the older style around yet. I have tried it with ground coffee though and I liked the results. The unit itself is heavy for its size. It comes in a nice box that makes for a giftable presentation. There is a small instruction pamphlet in the box. I was a little confused initially as I tried to figure out the parts in the box. There are two sets of some of the parts. There is one part that is not explained anywhere. I still don’t know what it is for. I made my first espresso shot and, following the directions, put the maker back into the cup it comes with. The coffee overflowed the small cup. I think you have to hold the maker over a cup (the included one or another) while it is brewing. The coffee once brewed was quite good. It’s rich and strong. It took 2-3 min (guesstimate … I didn’t time it) using cool water to brew. I made a second cup using hot water. You tell the maker if you are using hot water or cool water by varying the button clicks. If you use hot water you’ll have a MUCH longer battery life but I don’t think the maker heats the water up at all if you start with hot water (it just applies pressure) so make sure it’s really hot water, not just luke warm. This time it took less than a min for my espresso shot. With this one I added some additional hot water to my espresso to make an Americano (there is a card in the box with directions for some common coffee drinks). Some additional things to note … this maker only brews espresso shots. You input 50-60 ml of water and get 30-40 ml shots. It ships with a usb a to usb c charging cable and recommends a 9v/2a charging brick (not included). It comes with a nice velvet carry bag. Overall, I’m really happy with this unit. I’m looking forward to trying it with pods. If I have any unexpected results I’ll update the review.

Either way it taste amazing and I absolutely love how portable it is. My family is obsessed with espresso coffee and so this was a perfect addition to our collection.

    This is a great portable espresso machine. It works really well, but the instructions are not great. If you don’t have a base idea of how espresso is made, you may need to watch a YouTube on it. The instructions also don’t really describe the list of parts included so you kind of have to go with the pictures. There is one piece that we can’t figure out what it’s supposed to be used for – we thought initially it was supposed to be a stability item to hold the espresso maker over a cup, but it doesn’t work for that on any of the cups we tried. It’s heavier than I expected, so if you’re doing a light backpacking situation this may add more weight than what you want. There is no stand, so if you’re using a larger cup, you have to just hold the espresso maker the entire time (~2 minutes). It came packaged very well and comes with a carrying case. We plan on taking this with us for road trips because a lot of hotels don’t have great coffee (or coffee makers) available, plus for car camping along the way. The charger is USB (C as the input, A as the ouput).

    This small coffee make is incredible. It can use regular coffee of pods and you can take it anywhere. To work, camping, the back of a motorcycle, hunting . This is by far the coolest piece of camping equipment I own!!
