I bought this for my daughter who like to make tea while studying at her desk. This device is sturdy and modern looking. I didn’t want to get her an old fashioned device with dragons, etc. The nice thing is that she can put any short mug underneath rather than use the pitcher since the magnet is moved by the knob rather than the handle of the pitcher, like many other models. I would buy another one if it comes in pink (her favorite color). I was sorry to see that the bottom part with the knob is plastic, but at least the tea brews in the upper part, which is glass. The frame is metal and very sturdy. There is a silicone pad to keep the pitcher or mug from slipping.
