   This coffee pot does nothing but make a mess! I have owned numerous coffee pots over the years and this is by far one of the worst one! You could mAke a cup of coffee from the amount that is dripping out of the pot!

   This is the SUV of Coffee makers; and I have had a dozen brands. It has the 14 Cup capacity. It has the perfect wattage. I use my regular family can of coffee and it comes out great every time! And I love that with the regular filters, you get NO GRINDS in your coffee; doesnt brew too fast. Yuck. Has a timer and auto brew. A pot takes nine minutes. If you want old school hot and perfect temperature coffee this Salton is the people’s choice. It is that good!

   I like that it is 14 cup for approximately the same price as other 12 cup coffee makers. The coffee is reasonably. The scale on the side of the water reservoir is handy for checking on fill level when making less than a full pot.
   I wish I could set the heating function to more than 2 hours (yeah I know that I could use a carafe but …)
   I wish the holder for the filter was sloped rather than straight as the filters sometimes slip resulting in grounds in my coffee.
   I would probably buy again.

    I bought this to replace my Black and Decker coffee maker that died on me after 25 years of brewing wonderful coffee. I hope this Salton coffee maker will last as long. It seems to be well built and I appreciate the reusable coffee filter. I hope it will be possible to buy a replacement filter when this one wears off although paper filters should also do the trick. I also hope replacement carafes are available in case I break this very large one.

    I usually make 6 cups at a time and the coffee maker is very quick to brew coffee hot enough to my taste. The 14 cup carafe comes in handy when I have guests over at my house.
