I loved this little coffee maker for 8 months but this past week, I came home from work to find scorched coffee and a burning smell in my house even though I always make sure the machine is OFF. Even though it was powered OFF, the machine stayed hot and steaming all day. I was hoping it was a fluke so I unplugged it. As soon as it’s plugged back in, it immediately starts trying to brew and gets scalding hot. No power button is on. I checked every feature. Definitely a major safety hazard. Please be careful! Hopefully I’m the only one who experienced this. My kitchen counter was extremely hot to the touch.

It uses cone filters If you prefer those. Another plus is that the Depth of the cone is so deep that you can’t get any coffee grounds in the pot!
