I’ve been looking for a single-serving coffee maker that didn’t require using single-serving pods, and this one fit the bill perfectly. The idea behind coffee pods is a good one, allowing everyone to get exactly the kind of coffee they want. But pods waste so much packaging, and they are much more expensive. You can still use the little capsules with this coffee machine, but you can also swap out the pod basket for a separate brew basket for that you can fill with your own coffee grounds.
The machine is super easy to use. Just add a coffee pod or coffee grounds, place water in the back, and then put your cup on the platform. Push the start button and wait about three minutes. Much faster than brewing a whole pot, and in the morning, no one wants me to wait for my coffee. This unit is about as easy as it gets.

We usually use a Keurig at home but when we are traveling we get stuck with hotel coffee drip filter pots or coffee bags in a teeny coffee maker. We like our own brands and flavors and also grind our own. So this is the perfect combination for pods and grounds. I love the OZ measurements on the inside scale for easy volume calculation. I also like the height adjustment for larger mugs. It takes a couple of minutes to get your coffee and you can press the button to stop the flow if needed.
You could also just run hot water through it for tea, instant coffee, chocolate, or other hot drinks.
Because we are going to use it for travel it would be great if it had a cover/bag. The box it came in is very large compared to the actual unit and we don’t want to keep it in that box.
