Been using this press for a couple weeks and it compares well to the other presses I have had over the decades and the heat retention is very good. Some of the comments about grounds getting around the screen I think is people overfilling it. The top diameter for the lid is slightly larger than the body unlike every other press I have used. If you fill it past the lip about an inch down, you’ll get large grounds in the coffee.
I have no issue like a few people claim about the vacuum either. I know there are always rejects in production that slip through but this appears to be as good a quality as any other Thermos brand items I have had. I can’t help but wonder if there is some misuse involved given the other complaints and the grounds getting around the screen.

Happy with this press so far! I was never happy with my standard glass press because the coffee would become cold so quickly. This thermos style press kept coffee warm all morning. No issues or damage. The light green is such a cute color! The only compliant is that there is no “marked” fill line. Not an issue if you have common sense to not overfill.

This is a Stanley product, so of course it’s rugged and well-made. It will make a full 12 cup pot of coffee, though you don’t 12 cups because part of the volume gets taken up by the coffee grounds. The press is easy to use. If you know how to use a French press, it makes great coffee. It stays hot decently long, but it will lose heat through the top because that part is uninsulated. Keep it clean and treat if carefully, and it’s great for front-country camping and coffee time when there’s nothing but an electice kettle.

I love my French press. I mainly bought it for the colour to be honest and my friend had bought me a Stanley cup so I knew it would be good quality.
My favourite feature is that you can turn the lid round to block off the spout so it keeps the heat in. Coffee stays hot for ages and when it does go cold I use what’s left for iced coffee In The afternoon

I don’t use this all the time but when I do I’m always happy with it. It really bring out the flavor of the coffee, it works well. It brews more coffee than what I need for myself. It could have a better design for the lid where the press rod goes through, it’s a sloppy hole where liquid can get in and you can’t take it apart to clean it. It’s very sturdy and easy to use though. They also could put measurement lines on the inside, that would be very helpful.

This order was a replacement coffee pot for one lost in a fire. We live on a sailboat and this pot makes a large batch of coffee and keeps it hot a long time for those overnight sails. Habe mir es gegönnt, war super teuer, aber ich wollte unbedingt schwarz haben, und etwas wo ich keine Wasserflecken sehe, ich hasse Wasserflecken und hier ist die Reinigung schon viel einfacher als bei den Glaskännchen. Also optisch top und edel. Stanley ist eben eine Status Marke (viel Selbstlob in der Packungsbeilage). Es bleibt nicht so lange heiss /warm wie behauptet. Wer meint, es bleibt über Nacht warm wie eine Thermoskanne, erzählt Märchen. Ich würde sagen 30 Min. ist der Kaffee noch heiss. Man könnte es einwickeln, sonst war der Kaffee eine Stunde später nie mehr richtig warm. Ob ich es wieder kaufen würde? Das weiss ich nicht. Ist aber XL und schwarz und ich konnte keine Alternative finden.

Keeps coffee nice and toasty all morning! The ONLY reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the SMALL amount of coffee grinds that make their way past the screen into the coffee. Not unheard of with a French press, but I have had presses with virtually no grinds. Other than that, this is a great press. I like that it is easy to rinse, not worried about breaking glass, use it regularly at home but also great to take on camping ventures, and love the color. It’s a great press, I don’t hesitate to recommend it at all.
