   I like that this coffee maker is easy to use and set up. When you plug it in, you can set the time and you are also able to program the coffee maker to brew at a specific time. There are no physical buttons on the coffee maker–it’s all touch screen, so hopefully that will hold up over time. It took a few tries for me to get the “bold brew” option selected, so the touch component isn’t too sensitive. It’s a pretty straightforward, no frills coffee maker. You can make between 4-12 cups of coffee and it can keep the pot warm for up to 4 hours. There is a permanent coffee filter included if you prefer to use that over paper filters.
   I typically prefer using the pour over method to make my coffee, but this is a nice alternative when I want to brew a greater amount of coffee or when I don’t have time.

   I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this Coffee Maker it really meets the daily coffee demands of my family. Brewing up to 12 cups is perfect for our coffee routine, and I like the flexibility to brew just a cup or two when needed. Being able to adjust the coffee strength is a nice feature that caters to individual tastes. What stands out for me is the timer function. Setting it the night before means waking up to a ready-to-go pot in the morning – a game-changer for my rushed mornings. The touchscreen is user-friendly, and the coffee stays warm for around 4 hours before shutting off automatically a practical touch for forgetful mornings. The coffee maker’s modern design fits well in my kitchen, and the permanent filter is a money-saver – no need to worry about buying filters. Cleaning is straightforward, especially since I prefer hand washing. Overall, this coffee maker is everything I expected it to be and would highly recommend buying it!

   We got the Sur La Table drip coffee maker to replace one that was dying in our AirBnB. It comes with a fine mesh filter that can be used for most medium ground coffees, but is a mess to clean if you don’t have a garbage disposal or have renters doing it (we leave unbleached paper filters for our guests). The coffee maker has a touch screen with one button for determining the number of cups to brew and the same button (held longer) to set the coffee “strength.” This is beyond the capabilities of most guests to figure out. It can be programmed to auto-run, but this assumes there is water and coffee in place (again questionable for guests). It has another button for off/on and goes off automatically after 4-hours (a long time in a rental unit) . Overall, it brews decent coffee. But not recommended for a rental situation.

   I’ve had it a month and it’s a good pot, well worth the price. Condensation drips inside from the lid, not all over the counter. The pot handle is very comfortable and doesn’t leak when pouring coffee. Design makes it easy to clean. An excellent product.

   A permanent filter – sound great!. But instead of a cone shape, the bottom is flat solid plastic. While this forces the water sideways through more grounds (a plus), it makes it harder to clean as there is a large area you can’t hit with your sink sprayer. Lot of turning, spraying outside, inside, back and forth till all the grounds are rinsed away.

   An adjustable brew setting – sounds great. But each time you press brew it goes away and doesn’t retain the setting, so it must be specified each time.

    The Sur La Table coffee maker is a nice upgrade over traditional coffee pots. It’s simple enough to operate after you’ve just woken up but has some nice features that make things a little nicer. You can set the number of cups you want to make, or “all” to use up all the water in the basin. The top of the pot keeps water from dripping down onto the heating element and making that dribbling “ssss” sound that means you have some clean-up to do. There is an option to make the brew more “bold” but I couldn’t tell a difference with the coffee I use. The coffee pot beeps when it is done brewing and also beeps when it auto-shuts off after four hours. One thing to note there is a lot more gray on the exterior of the machine than I anticipated when looking at the listing. It wasn’t a big deal to me, but if you are trying to match your other appliances or backsplash, take note. (See pic.)
