   About a month into using this French press we realized it had a hole in between the two layers of stainless steel. We had used this once every day and hand washed only. I guess I was just disappointed how (even though we like it) it won’t last much longer with water/coffee getting down in between the layers and not being able to wash it out.

   Likes: makes great coffee quickly and is easy to clean. Dislikes: came with some factory “schmutz” on it in places and the handle is slightly misaligned. For the price, the dislikes are not a deal breaker for me. I enjoy making coffe with this thing and the coffee that comes out of it is delicious and quite satisfying. QC could be better but it’s still a perfectly functional french press coffee maker. Buy it for the low price if a few possible cosmetic imperfections won’t bother you.

   I love coffee and this beats Bodum hands down! It is so beautiful and elegant and it keeps the coffee warmer for much longer than the other brand. Plus it’s durable. I broke the glass insert in the Bodum and to replace it would have cost more than this press in total. You get an extra strainer for the future too! A caution for first use is that the plunger is snug and you have to gauge the slow pressure to prevent a possible sploosh! However, the tightness ensures not even one tiny ground gets in your coffee. For coffee loving friends this would make the best gift. Why I gave it only 4 stars for use was that you have to tell by weight how much coffee you have left in the pot as you can’t see through the stainless steel! Buy it from this seller; it is cheaper than others for the same pot.

   Since I got this French press, I no longer drink coffee made in a standard coffee maker. It tastes so much better using the press. It comes with an extra screen that traps the coffee grounds. To clean it good you must unscrew the round parts that trap the coffee grounds. It’s easy to do and only takes a minute. When I’m in a hurry I just give it a good rinse and try to get the water between the screen and metal. I’ve had it for about 5 months and haven’t had to replace the screen yet, but I suspect I will within a few months. It’s just the right size for me – makes the amount I drink each morning. I also make tea in the press if I’m making it for more than one person. It’s high quality and being made from stainless steel it’s extremely durable. I like that it’s double-walled to help keep the coffee warm, although it only keeps it warm for maybe 30 minutes which is just long enough. Bonus: it looks stylish if you want to leave it out on your cupboard or for serving your guests. I feel like it’s a little bit of self-care time every time I use it!

   Love it. Great coffee press. After 3 glass french press coffee makers cracked, it’s time for a stainless steel model. The extra filters are very good to have. It keeps the coffee hot for at least a few hours. Good enough for us. I only wish the OZ measure markers inside are a bit bigger and darker for easier reading.

   Well, absolutely don’t put it in the dishwasher. Most items of those nature having a warning embossed on the actual item. It does come with three replacement screens which is a nice feature. And after pulling it out of the dishwasher I found that the discarded packaging had a note on it to “avoid” putting in the dishwasher. Who keeps the packaging when it’s just a thin cheap plain cardboard design? I suggest this detail be reworked in manufacturing or packaging. Anyway, I would opt out for either a better product or at the very least the plain stainless version. EDIT: Absolutely don’t buy this. If you submerge it in water at all it somehow gets water inside the double wall construction. This is a waste of money, energy, space and material.

    Me and my husband really like this French press in general, we’ve broken so many glass ones that we were excited to have this one. While it’s great, and definitely keeps the coffee at a hotter temperature, I’m disappointed that we’ve only had it for a couple of weeks and already the paint is coming off. It’s a very thin layer of copper colored paint or lacquer on top of the stainless steel press. Giving it four stars because I really like it other than the fact that it already looks like crap!

    I have glass French press, but I don’t slam coffee so frequently that second cup is lukewarm or cold. Bought this insulated French press and I’m pleased with it. 1.5hrs after making coffee, that second cup was still hot and steamy. The unit is beautiful and feels well made. The filter system is nice – no grounds in my cup. Bonus – they send along 2 extra filters.     Much easier than the random how to videos I watched on YouTube prior to trying Coffee Press. Only slight gap when cover on. Let it set for 10 mins before Press and zero grounds (awesome). Flavor much better using same coffee used in my auto drip. Stays hot and besides boiling water separately start to sip is very quick.     Just wanted to post this for those of you thinking of a non-traditional color. I was really on the fence with choosing this color simply because there were no review pics. So here it is. I think it’s very cute. No regrets ordering it. Definitely fits well with my other coffee appliances that are similar in color. Just used it for the first time and it works well. I know some reviews complain about water spurting out. I can see that happening. I think if you don’t over fill it, that will help. I bought the 17oz size because I didn’t want something that would take up too much space. Filled it with 4 tablespoons of coffee and 14oz of water and it worked perfectly. No splashing, no grinds. Just a good sized single cup of coffee. Happy with the purchase so far.

    Functionality is good and seems sturdy. No care instructions were included. My fingers were black with oil every morning, the first week. Finally traced it back to the French Press. Instructions should be included that before you use: take every piece apart and scrub with cotton swabs and cloth until the black metal oil is gone so you’re not consuming it. Wish I would have known this before using for a week.

    It’s my first purchase of a French Press… and I’m not disappointed in the least. This thing is perfect! 👍🏼 I love the fact that it’s stainless steel… holds the heat in for quite awhile, cleans up so easily, and no worries about glass breaking since there is none! The screen is easily rinsed clean. It has a really good fit and has not allowed any coffee grounds to come up while being plunged down. I do not take my screen apart to clean it. I just run it under the faucet water until it’s clean, so no issues with anything being stripped and not going back in place. It’s the perfect size for me since I’m not able to drink more than 1 cup of caffeinated coffee a day (caffeine makes me nauseous if more than one cup… even using the GOOD coffee). I use a HUGE 20 ounce cup though! I use my coffeemakers.us.comBasics Electric coffee pot to instantly heat my water… add the grounds to the press, swirl the hot water over the grounds… cover and let it sit for about 3-4 minutes. I stir the grounds, cover and let it sit another minute or two… push the plunger down slowly, turn the cap to the “pour” arrow and slowly fill my blender cup. I make bullet proof coffee in my blender cup then pour into my coffee mug… perfect! Easy! I was going to buy one with a glass carafe and metal frame work… so I could see my coffee and watch the plunger go down. But I’m seriously so glad that I bought this one instead. Seriously, who needs to SEE it… TASTE and DURABILITY are more important to me. I truly feel it will last a very long time… and no worries about any glass part breaking. It’s a definite WIN!

    Good capacity and really liked that all components in contact with water were stainless and not plastic. BUT after only one year of use, the finish on the handle is flaking off. Have only handwashed with soft cloth according to instructions, but the paint on the item appears not to be sealed and only one coat so of course a high tough area needs more than that. I bought the all black so flaking to the steel underneath is very disappointing. Not worth the money if needs to be replaced once a year!

    A decent sized coffee press. Large enough for enternaining, or most of a day’s supply of coffee. It is stainless so it will not shatter if dropped or knocked onto the floor. It is a double wall construction, though not a “vacuum” type of vessel as the outside of it does get warm once there is hot water poured in. Use care and common sense when assembling the press: face the spout away from you as you prepare your coffee and make sure the bevel of the top is also pointed away from you. Once hot water is in the press it, it is possible to “launch” some water or coffee out of the spout as you reassemble it, and the design of the cover tends to deflect the stream outward. With all that said, it is well made press, and a decent value for the money. It does not alter flavor of coffee or tea in ways some plastics might. Cleaning is easy, though you will want to have a plier to hold the shaft when it is time to clean the pressing screen assembly, at least for the first time as they get threaded quite snug and the press knob tends to be what unscrews instead. The pot is about 750mL even though the box says it is 1 liter. If you are like me and tend to nurse a pot of coffee all day, I have heated a full liter of water in the heating pot, filled the press and poured a tall cup of coffee, and then carefully raised the press assembly just enough to lean against the side of the pot and poured in the remaining heated water into the press and continue to let it steep on the grounds. I usually use Espresso ground coffee at one rounded tablespoon per cup, so about 3 table spoons of coffee (4 if I heat up a liter of water.), though reglar grounds will work too. If you want the best coffee you can get, make sure to completely wash the press after each use to remove old grounds, tannins and any Fusile oils that remain, especially in the mesh and mesh supports.

    The French press arrived with small rust marks all along the edge of the rim as well as chips near the spout and on the handle. I asked for a replacement and the second was better, but still very slightly dinged. I decided to just keep it, but during the coffee making process, I mildly burned my hand on it. A proper double-walled vacuum that retains heat should not transfer the interior heat to the outside. Ended up returning it as it’s just not what I was looking for.

    $23 for such a nice pot! I must tell you that it really only makes about 45 to 48 ounces without becoming too full. Still, that’s lots of coffee and I recently wasted 60 on a 52oz famous name pot that I hated so much and they wouldn’t take back but I couldn’t stand to use so I bought this one and I am so glad I did! It’s super basic. Doesn’t even have an arrow to point out the opening but I can deal with that. I’m only using one of the two screens they sent for extra filtration but we like what we call “chewy coffee” so this will allow the filters to last twice as long. It’s pretty chewy though! None of the filters I have already will fit this pot so I hope to be ble to replace these when and if…

The only issue we have is cosmetic, paint as shown on the top was already missing upon arrival, looks like it was put together either before the paint drying or the plunger mechanism has something that is rubbing on the lid.

However… My husband and I recently returned from a 2 week trip in Europe where we had the most amazing coffee experiences. So…. I decided to give this press a try. Oh mylanta I’m so glad I did.     Excellent filtering process. Leaves. No sludge at the bottom of my coffee cup. It could use a marker to indicate the direction the top needs to be in for pouring. Currently you have to look in through the spout to line up the lid for pouring. Keeps beverages hot for a little while, don’t know how long. Easy to use, comes with extra filtering screens.

    per il prezzo che ha fa perfettamente il suo lavoro, poi ho scoperto che non tutte le french press hanno il filtro doppio, questa ce l’ha e ha anche un filtro in più di riserva. la doppia parete mantiene il caldo per qualche ora e permette di non bruciarsi. Rispetto al vetro non si può vedere il grado di intensità della bevanda, che sia thè o caffè, ma per chi, come me, che si fa un litro di thè so quanto mettercene dentro affinchè risulti dell’intensità desiderata e così è lo stesso per il caffè. Però questo rispetto al vetro è molto più resistente, sia per lo shock termico dell’acqua sia per gli urti.

    Bought this metal pot as I’d just had an IKEA glass one break on me. So mostly I’m comparing it to that one but I’ll also address some of the other reviews.

    1. It keeps coffee hot, not sure how long people expect it, its not a flask. But when I make a pot to myself, it is nicely hot for a couple of hours. Certainly no need to rush.
    2. It cleans nicely, it also leaves no dregs, so its very easy to simply tip the grounds out into the bin, it isn’t a muddy gloop like others I have used that doesn’t drain the whole water. Goes in the dishwasher but mostly I just give it a rinse.
    3. Very sturdy and looks nice, can’t see it breaking any time soon.

    Can’t really think of anything else to say about it really, it’s a metal coffee pot that works as well as I’d hoped.

    So, I thought this will be a regular “metal” french press. I bought a similarly priced one from target but that was glass and plastic. So I thought a metal one would be slightly better. But it turns out it is a double-layer insulated type metallic pitcher. I was impressed with the quality. I never thought you can get this quality in $20 range pricepoint. It really feels a lot premium compared to any other french press in this price range. The filter system has 2 metal mesh filters layer so the coffee turns out more clear. They also included 2 additional metal mesh filter replacements. My coffee beans were ground to the coarsest setting in Costco store grinders.
