   As u can see from picture my Wacaco portfolio continues to grow. Great design mostly overall. I use Wacaco products for backcountry canoe trips. Drink hole- this falls short. It’s size and placement can mean your first sips are a mouth burner…tilt…tilt… woooossshhh comes the hot drink all the sudden… I’ve only brewed a couple cups as of now; takes about 5 minutes…slow filtering Overall very happy with this and all my Wacaco items…will get many happy starts to my day with these Expensive…it is expensive.

   My biggest concern with camping is not having fresh, hot coffee in the morning. The Wacaco Cuppamoka solves this issue for me. Went on a four-day camping trip in the U.P. with my son and knowing I could have a fresh cup of coffee every morning definitely made it easier to wake up and start the day. The build quality is excellent. I expect to the product to last a very long time. The process is simple once you have done it once or twice and the results speak for themselves. I would suggest practicing a few times at home with the coffee of your choice before using it in “the field”. I found with my simple Folgers Columbian Blend I only needed two scoops to get the flavor I desired. Yes, the utility of everything packing inside the cup is really for longer-term storage as when you have coffee in the cup and you are packing up to leave the spoon and other components have to go elsewhere. Also, you will want to use the cup itself because it kept the coffee very warm for a long time; I was really impressed with that. I wasn’t as impressed with the pour when you are taking a sip. It doesn’t flow out as easily as I would prefer. But, the pour flow and packing issue are minor. I am happy with the results and can recommend it.

   So I just got this new pour over coffee maker. I go car camping all the time and have tried so many different coffee options. And I have yet to find one that I want to stick with. This may be a winner. I love how the pour over piece twists on, so not to be easily knocked over. I love that it comes with a drip base. I love that it does not stack absurdly high as the pour over twists back down to be stored. And I love that the top is leak proof and the seal is not so easy to come undone. It makes great coffee (still working on adjusting the correct amount to use). And also love that using a paper filter makes for easier car camping clean up. As for keeping the drink hot. I do not know yet.

   I previously purchased the ‘pippamoka’ which is the pressure extrusion system. Well, when I saw this new Cuppamoka I was very excited to try it out! The thermal cup that these come with is my favorite thing and I use it almost all the time. I was able to use a standard 12 cup filter with this by ‘folding it’ similar to the instruction manual and so I was happy that that was an option since it only comes with a few filters. Taste wise, this is my new favorite way to make coffee. I found that instead of making 5-10 cups of coffee throughout the day, I was able just stick to one cup because the taste is so good. The document doesn’t include what the little ‘plate’ is used for that comes with it, but it’s for placing the funnel on top of after you remove it. I would not hesitate to use this for coffee daily!

   I have a manual coffee bean grinder for travel, and this thermos worked to perfection. The funnel screws on tightly and uses small paper filters to capture the boiling water. A cup of Joe (8 ounces) is perfect for me in the morning on camping trips. The thermos has a rubber stopper that is leak-proof (I accidentally knocked it over while grabbing something next to the thermos and not a drop came out). The coffee stayed hot for an extended period of time.

    This product works great, and has allowed me to really elevate my coffee experience at work. Improves a great for over in a reasonable amount of time and clean up is easy, just rinse everything off. The cup keeps my coffee hot for at least an hour or two. For replacement filters, the Hario V60 01 are identical to the filters supplied with the unit, see my photos. The first photo has each filter side-by-side (Hario on the left) and the second photo is both of the filters stacked up together.

    Well made, like a portable chemex except with a double walled vacuumed sealed cup to keep the the beverage hot for hours. Wish their were actual chemex filters that fit this unit, however you can always cut and diy with a chemex filter. 5 out of 5

    Pros: ✔️ Compatible with Hario V60 filters (size 01) ✔️ Drinking lid doesn’t leak at all—not even when upside down ✔️ Insulated cup keeps coffee warm for hours ✔️ Great build quality Cons: ❌ The inside of the cup (2⅜”⌀ x 4½”H with the top open) is too small to store even the smallest of travel grinders—and with the brewing cone/cap screwed in, the usable height is further reduced to 3¾”. The most I could fit was the body of a Hero S01 (3⅜” tall) *without* its catch cup (or handle, of course). ❌ The only thing the Cuppamoka saves you from having to bring is a brewing cone—you still need a kettle and, if you care about freshness, a separately packed grinder. Considering the cone is the smallest component of the setup, the Cuppamoka ends up being not all that practical. If only they’d made the cup large enough to store a small grinder, the space savings could’ve been huge. 😞 ❌ Too expensive for its limited usefulness.

    The drinking lid is leak proof.
    This is good and bad. Because there is no additional air hole, the coffee doesn’t flow freely.
    I think I’ll drill a little hole in mine. I don’t pack mine with coffee already in it.

    What a great product…brews a great cup of coffee using #1 v60 filters. I recommend using coffee ground finer than canned, store bought coffee. With pre ground canned coffee, like folgers, the water runs through really fast. Directions say use medium grind, but it is much better using medium fine.

    Another reviewer said the cup leaks, that’s probably because they left the pour over brewer attached to the cup and pushed the lid on. Just remove the brewer and screw the lid on and no leaks.

    Product is awesome for the first few months of daily use. I actually stopped using my regular pour over as this is much more convenient. – Great pour over that works really well – Preserves the taste while removing the unwanted bitterness – Really convenient to use as it uses the same cup to brew and drink – Looks really good with premium feel But… it only lasted a few months before th lid just broke! I was using it very gingerly and the lid just popped out after brewing a cup. Check out the image as the break was really bad. Most of the parts of this brewer combo are great, but are let down by the lid, as it’s just too brittle and makes this product from 5 starts all the way to 1.

    I travel a lot and its important to me to have great coffee. For a while I was using a portable french press, however, I found it very difficult to clean out when traveling… ie grounds get all over the sink and create a big mess. Also, I recently read that french press coffee can contribute to higher cholesterol so decided to cut back. This little Waco coffee make works like a champ. I use it for traveling and at home as I prefer to make one cup of coffee at a time. I also bought a collapsible silicone kettle for travel so now I will never have bad hotel room coffee again! Its much easier to clean out than the french press and makes great coffee. I think the size is also perfect. All in all exceeded my expectations!

    I couldn’t have imagined a better way to make coffee on the go! I was just on the hunt for a home pour over set when I stumbled across this magnificent invention!!! I travel for a living, daily, as a flight attendant and coffee is essential. I fell in love with pour over coffee for its smooth taste but when traveling it is hard to find. When I do find it I’m really excited but often told “we are out”… um… okay? Hot water and ground coffee…. Now I no longer have to worry and can make it with my favorite fresh ground coffee on the go!!! I never have to worry about horrible tasting hotel coffee or “being out of pour over” because someone doesn’t want to make it. Highly recommend to coffee drinkers in your home, on the go, or camping!     First of all, I’m a certified coffee/espresso snob. The only coffee I drink is pour over V60 or Chemex brewed. This contraption takes a size 01 V60 filter and gives me that cup of brew with the portability of throwing it in my backpack for the trail. The tumbler keeps my coffee warm for hours. It is easy to clean. If they make a 300 ml mug sized that’s shorter and wider I’d buy that too. If you make great coffee on the trail you need one of these!

    Colpito dall’estetica di questa mug, ho superato le mie incertezze iniziali (dovute al fatto che a casa ho almeno una decina di tazze simili collezionate negli anni…) e mi sono deciso a prenderla per testarla.

    Ricevuto il pacco, l’impressione iniziale è stata subito positiva soltanto analizzando il packaging che cattura subito l’attenzione.

    Si tratta non solo di una tazza compatta, ma di un vero e proprio sistema per farvi un caffè al volo ovunque vi troviate. Scordatevi l’espresso, state sbagliando pagina.. per l’espresso vedete gli altri modelli del brand che presumo siano di ottima qualità come questo articolo che recensisco.

    E’ un oggetto molto “easy”, facile da usare: quando è il momento di preparare il caffè, “svito” la parte sopra in plastica che si estrae fino a bloccarsi (e qui devo dire che sono rimasto davvero colpito!), inserisco il filtro di carta, metto 2 cucchiai di caffè (incluso, bastano 2 cucchiai per 20 gr circa di caffè..) e verso l’acqua calda. A questo punto aspetto 4-5 minuti che l’acqua coli attraverso il caffè e il caffè è pronto.

    Inizialmente pensavo che questa mug non avesse capacità termiche elevate, ma in realtà mi sbagliavo perché mantiene il caffè caldo per almeno 2 ore (testato). Qui, parte subito una mia considerazione: per fare il caffè l’acqua deve essere bollente, ma poi c’è la seccatura di mettersi li a soffiare e ad aspettare che raffreddi prima di berlo. Questa tazza “isotermica” non è come un thermos e anche se mantiene caldo il caffè non dovrete aspettare troppo prima che raggiunga la temperatura per sorseggiarlo senza ustionarvi.

    L’apertura e la chiusura sono operazioni semplici e non complicate. Alla prova pratica della tenuta ermetica ha superato pienamente il test (guardate il video). In definitiva è un accessorio pratico e veloce quando si ha voglia di un caffè, senza sporcare altre stoviglie. Bello esteticamente, fatto con ottimi materiali (acciaio inossidabile), molto compatto da stare comodamente in una mano anche medio piccola (è alto circa 17 cm e ha un diametro costante di 9 cm) e leggero (solo 316 gr).

    Packaging protettivo (vedi in foto come è contenuto nella sua confezione). Esaustivo nelle informazioni sia sulla scatola stessa che sulle istruzioni all’interno. Inclusi arrivano il cucchiaio (molto bello) e 10 filtri di carta.

    Potrei continuare descrivendovi ogni particolare o dettaglio fatto con cura, ma alla fine quello che ritengo importante dire l’ho già detto e poi ammetto che questa mug ha spodestato a mani basse tutte le mug e i thermos che avevo già (tra cui anche tazze di marche blasonate e ben conosciute tra chi fa campeggio o trekking) e questo per me ne giustifica il prezzo elevato (39,99€ nel momento in cui scrivo la recensione, gennaio 2021).

    This is my go to for making V60 away from home. It has everything other than a grinder and hot water. It’s small enough that I can even use my smaller scale for espresso with it

    I use it at work when I have time. It cleans up easily and I can use my regular sized filters with it. The only you need to remember to pour a little slower or less since you can’t utilize the most of the filter. But it works fine and there’s no need to look for smaller filters

    Make sure and read the instructions. The filter holder needs to be rotated until it clicks or it won’t stay up. I didn’t put as much coffee in as the instructions recommended, but it tasted good to me. The lid seals well the rubber stopper was easy to open and close. The cup keeps the coffee hot, so take care when you take that first sip. I have no complaints about this coffee maker/cup.

    Excellent travel filter coffee maker. Well made clever design that is very easy to use. it has survived quite a few drops and falls so far. I was so impressed I then bought the Wacaco pipamoka, which is equally as good but no filter paper needed.
