Glass is cheap, won’t hold heat. Cheap build, not cool how bad the product quality is. The Filter takes forever, the coffee takes so long to drip it cools off by half before I can drink the beverage! NOT WORTH $100! About a $9.99 product at best. Boo!

I like this coffee maker a lot but wish it was taller so you could fit a cup underneath and remove it without spilling the coffee. I am also disappointed that the bottom part of the coffee maker is wooden. It is not easy to clean and wish it was a more durable material since coffee drips on it a lot. Love the fact that there are no plastic parts of this coffee maker!! I have been reading scary stuff about heating plastics recently so this coffee pot is perfect in that regard!!

LOVE this coffee maker. I purchased this maker a few years ago for cold brew. After trying it out I shelved it for a few years not realizing I could make hot brew. I did not and do not like cold brew. So about two months ago I pulled this out to get rid of it and realized I knew nothing about it so I checked the internet for info and found out I could use it for hot brew. I watched a youtube video by the NapoHBarista and voila I made it per his instructions and have been hooked ever since. The coffee maker is still in my possession and going strong. The pitcher that came with it broke due to poor craftsmanship but I just put my large mug underneath it; works just fine. This companies greatest downfall its the fact that they do not include ANY instructions or info as to how to assemble, what the parts are for, or how to use. It makes a fantastic cup of coffee when used correctly.

Este modelo es màs barato y pequeño que otros existentes para extracciòn en frio de cafè. Viene con tres filtros para el cafè: uno de acero inoxidable en forma de cono truncado que tiene multiples agujeritos, el segundo es una malla muy fina que viene adherida por dentro del cono en direccion obliqua al mismo (creo que esto ayuda a que el filtrado sea màs fino) y por ultimo un filtro ceramico. Obtuve un cafe concentrado, de aspecto cristalino (me recordò el obtenido con Chemex usando filtros de papel), delicioso (no tuve las molestias que presento con la extraccion en caliente, en relacion a gastritis y reflujo). Viene con otros filtros de papel, pero estos son para ponerse encima del cafè molido, con la finalidad de obtener una distribuciòn màs pareja del agua al hacer la extracciòn en frio. Estos los reuso unas cuantas veces màs simplemente lavandolos. Cuando se terminen usare filtros mas baratos, incluso, los de Aeropress son màs baratos, los originales de Yama me parecen caros y son solo para distribuir agua, no filtrarla.
Creo que comprando la Yama Silverton se obtienen diferentes metodos de extracciòn: dripper, extracciòn en frio, inmersiòn como en Aeropress (pero sinla presion), Chemex)
