The product is made with lab-grade borosilicate glass. And the whole vacuum filtration concept is theatrical and cool and all that but…
It simply does not deliver the goods. Vacuum filtration is not an inherently superior way to make coffee. Done right French press, percolated, or drip can do fine for any discriminating gourmet.
This particular device assembles fairly cleverly but it is top heavy and ultimately clumsy. And cleaning it is no picnic.
Wish I could recommend it for coolness alone but it has too much going against it. Buy a glass percolator instead.

Et j’ai découvert ce genre de cafetière, où l’on touille le café dans l’eau très chaude, ce qui fait donné tout les arômes à l’eau.
La différence est flagrante. Je recommande vivement.
