No filters fit properly. Kind of difficult to clean.

Obviously a little more work compared to a regular drip coffee maker but such a great alternative and it’s 100% plastic free in all the parts that make contact with the coffee. Not as strong as a French press and produces a great clean flavor. Highly recommend!
Also great customer service from manufacturer.

I like that it is stainless steel. I wish it did not drain so fast and that it had lines to indicate how many cups of water you have poured in. The holes draining the water need to be smaller. And the holes I. The grounds holder also need to be smaller. It requires a filter to keep the grounds from washing through. I like it but am not in love with in.

I so wanted to like this pot. Bought it for my mother to replace a very old drip coffe pot that has started to leak badly but she loves drip coffee. This was the only one I came across that was a true drip and not a percolator. The coffee it makes is awful and weak. Just as other reviews stated the holes are too big and the drip too fast resulting in very weak coffee. We used 2 filters under and over the coffee and still got weak coffee. This pot is too expensive to be so ineffective. I had to repour the coffee back in the pot and let it drip 3 times to get a decent brew. Unacceptable! I hope I can still get a refund.
On the positive side, it is a nice looking pot and the stainless steel cleans up easily. If they ever read these reviews and update their design I would consider repurchasing.

I normally don’t bother with reviews but we figured out that this product is leaking. It seems like a good product as long as it’s not leaking. The weld around the spout was missing a small spot near the bottom so it will leak if it’s more than 1/3 full. It’s a very slow leak. I am not saying that you should not buy it, just make sure it doesn’t leak before your return window closes. I am attaching a video which shows the leaking from the small hole near the bottom of the spout . It took a few weeks before we allowed more than a third to sit on the stove long enough to drip a noticeable puddle. we kept noticing a drop or two here there may be a puddle the size of a quarter, but we always used enough coffee that it was less than 1/3 full pretty quickly. it was until we left half a pot overnight we figured out there was a problem. If you hang the pot over the edge of the sink it takes 30 seconds for enough to leak out to cause a single drop to fall. Two drops per minute is not fast, but left for a couple of hours it will drip a couple of ounces. Since I missed the return window of 30 days I’m left to see if I can fix this one. I definitely would expect better quality quality for some thing that I’m paying close to $100 for. It looks like they just missed a couple of millimeters of welding on the spout. I only gave it three stars for ease of use because you need to know the amount of coffee in the amount of water to use. There are no markings anywhere on the unit to assist with portioning or measuring. Typically you’ll add as much coffee as you need for the amount of cups desired and then inside the top section there would normally be markings so you know how much water to add. There is absolutely zero markings on this. If it didn’t leak I would probably give it three stars for value because it is expensive.

Not working well for coffee, may be better for tea. Drip holes generally too large to brew coffee sufficiently, returned the pot.

I grew up with a drip coffee maker. After many years of Mr. Coffee’s and Kuerigs, I was ready to go back to basics and this pot does the job. I love the stainless steel – easy clean up. And I can vary the amount of coffee grounds I use to adjust the strength. But to get the best from this pot, you need to use the right filters and watch the water temperature. The #4 unbleached/natural filters work the best. And I use the least expensive generics. Water temp is the other big thing. Boiling water is a no-no. I make sure the water is below 200 – around 195 is best. Since you heat the water in a separate pot, it’s not hard to tell when it’s about right. As far as capacity goes, I use 1/2 cup of regular grind – about 8 Tbsp – and get what I would call a medium strong brew, and 3/4 cup if I want a really strong brew. And just to re-emphasize: Using boiling water results in a very weak brew.

It’s the same kind as my mother had when I was at home. Only thing, we didn’t have the filter paper that stopped the coffee grains from plugging the holes where the coffee drains to the bottom. My father would get very upset at how long it took the coffee to drain through. We didn’t know about the filter paper.

We love this coffee pot the coffee is great, but I’m do wish we could find a 6 or 8 cup pot just like it. But this pot has earned its five stars. Thanks. Betterea from Texas
