   The idea for the different coffee pods is great but it did not work for me. I had problems with the machine because the tank water was leaking and return window had closed, but customer service solved the problem. I gave them 4 stars because of customer support. Took one star off because of the initial issue I had with the water tank.

   First, not very hot. Add cream and it’s lukewarm. Noisy and you can’t just flip it on and go, has to warm up then it’s loud. And after all that, it leaks! I have searched this thing and can’t find it. It is usually half an hour or more after use. A lot of money for garbage. Too late to return! At least I can make pods!

   *update*. Seller reached out and offered a replacement, I was expecting something different but recieved the same machine. I think the machine is fine, it works well. I’m just very sensitive to the plastic smell *which seems to be coming from the steam- which is released from a soft rubber tube, into the water chamber*. They assured me it is made from food safe plastics, most people haven’t seemed to be bothered by this, but for me, I question it’s safety. Plain hot water smells and tastes fine. I just don’t like how badly the steam smells, and the fact that the stream gets shot into the water tank.

   So most people are complaining about the noise. It’s really not that loud. Any espresso machine is going to make noise like this because the unit is pressurized.

   My issue is the plastic smell. I’ve been cleaning and running this machine… It just reeks of warm plastic. Not something I want to be drinking or breathing. I’m letting the unit off gas for a bit but I might not keep it.

   Hear me out: I wanted a single serve coffee/ espresso maker that was compact and able to make coffee with fresh grounds, at a reasonable price. Nice that it has the pod options but not necessary for me. Love the size, look, easy to use. Water reservoir is small but adequate. Brews fast and creates a lovely foam layer that makes me feel fancy. It makes Absolutely GREAT espresso and coffee…so so rich and full flavored, I mean really really good coffee…enough to make me over look it’s most peculiar operating action: it vibrates and shakes.. and it is loud as others have said …it vibrates so violently that I cannot use the shelf that holds the cup…it shakes straight off! What in the fresh ground goodness of caffeine is that about?? Fortunately, the “shelf” is removable so I am using it without a “holding shelf”…like an animal, sitting my cup directly on the counter. I’ve only had this one day…as long as it holds up I’m choosing to consider the violent shakes “charming and quirky”…yea…the coffee is that good. It is very curious about the shaking, but the Coffee Gods have blessed this machine to give me the dark, robust coffee flavor I crave. I’ll upload a video and update my review after a few days and when I’m not under it’s captivating spell.

   Ormai la uso da più di un mese e posso fare una recensione avendo fatto molti caffè e bevande.
   Ero stufo della “schiavitù” delle macchine della Nespresso che dopo pochi mesi perdevano acqua. Poi avevo voglia anche di provare altri tipi di capsule e cialde ma ormai non volevo abbandonare le mie vecchie abitudini con Nespresso. Navigando su coffeemakers.us.com mi sono imbattuto in varie macchine compatibili con più tipi ma questa mi ha colpito per gli accessori, la versatilità il prezzo e le recensioni.
   Quando è arrivata, vedendo tutti gli accessori di cui è munita, mi è sembrata forse un po’ poco pratica invece è molto versatile e semplicissima. Gli accessori permettono di utilizzare molteplici tipi di capsule e cialde (Nespresso e Dolce Gusto) ma anche il caffè in polvere come le tradizionali macchine da caffè.
   La macchinetta è facile da utilizzare, solida e ben costruita e NON PERDE ACQUA!! Ha un tubicino di recupero per il vapore in eccesso che scarica direttamente nel serbatoio.
   E’ anche possibile programmare i pulsanti per far emettere la quantità di caffè desiderata.
   La pressione di 19 bar permette di ottenere un caffè ottimo! L’ho utilizzata con capsule Dolce-Gusto/Nespresso e compatibili Borbone (caffè), con il caffè in polvere e con capsula per la cioccolata ottenendo, sempre, un ottimo risultato. Con le vecchie macchine per avere un caffè caldo dovevo riscaldare la tazza, ora invece il caffè è bollente come piace a me!
   Ad ora sono soddisfatto dell’acquisto.
   Consiglio il prodotto per chi è alla ricerca di una macchina per caffè senza compromessi e dal prezzo più che giusto.
   Se proprio devo trovare qualche criticità, che per me non sono tali, è che la vaschetta di recupero delle gocce di caffè e piccola e ad ogni caffè va buttata via la capsula o la cialda non avendo un vassoio di recupero. Per me non è un difetto perché la trovo più pulita di quando accumulavo gli scarti e il caffè gocciolato nel vassoio che si incrostava.

    Yes it’s loud but isn’t Starbucks loud? Aren’t you already awake!? So if quiet coffee is important this isn’t the maker for you.

    I love the options. I can use my own ground coffee. My fav kcups and I now have been using Peet’s nespresso pods. OMG!! I’m in espresso heaven! 🙂

    I bought the maker with 5 options. The ground espresso adapter also allows a coffee or espresso pad giving 2 options for that one adapter. Then there is the kcup, nespresso pod, and dolce? adapters making 5.
    Haven’t used the dolce one yet. Looking forward to it though. Really happy and got it during the spring sale also! Thanks coffeemakers.us.com for all the choices and as I would have likely bought the same Cusinart machine I had for years when it kicked the bucket but when I saw the choices this Kotlie machine has and the pressure it brews the coffee under I was impressed and I’m super happy with my morning routine.
