    I purchased this press and I had to put in for another exchange because it was cracked and so was this one that was a replacement. This press is not a good item to buy. The plastic doesn’t work good with the heat. And I received it cracked on the second one.

    As the title suggests, I bought this in January 2023 and within 5 months and like 3 usage, the strainer part connected to a rod attached to the lid broke off. This effectively renders the French press useless as there is no way to strain the tea / coffee. Buy at your own discretion, might have to replace it within a few months.

    I bought this French press because there was no metal in the base. I had a press years ago that worked well in the microwave. There was nothing in the description stating “to” or “not to” use a microwave to heat the water. I was not happy so I am throwing it away. And still in search one thar will work with the microwave.

    I originally wrote a nice review but this product stated cracking and leaking without being dropped and being careful. At first I saw a crack but it was still okay so I kept using it. Then it got another. And still it was okay with a tiny leak. Now it just flows out from the bottom. I do not recommend it because of that. It’s a waste of money. Old review below: This is nice because I bought the three sister coffee and it’s great to make my own premade cold coffee. I only do one part condensed and one part evaporated or just milk with condensed and prepare it in mason jars and then use it to make ice coffee. A little under 32 oz in coffee press. Then ton of ice in a two liter, add made coffee, add milk mix and any flavor and a tad of stevia or more sweetener if you prefer and stir. Then pour into mason jars (get plastic lids) and refrigerate. Cheaper than Starbucks and you can switch it up. You can drink right out of mason jar on the go or throw it over ice.

    I don’t love the top fitting in loosely. It feels cheap, like it will fall apart. The carafe part is sturdy and nice though. It’s like it has the wrong lid but doesn’t. Easy to use and tolerable though. I just have to hold the lid on while I pour though which is annoying. Fortunately I get to drink the coffee afterwards so I get calmed down from that lol.

    I use this daily for loose tea and occasionally if I want one cup of coffee but don’t want to brew a whole pot. Works great, very affordable, solid construction, easy to clean, 20oz size is perfect for one large cup or two average size cups and best of all the taste of the tea or coffee is so much better using this press! I only hand wash and air dry so it should last many years just like my last one. I highly recommend!

    I read the reviews and unfortunately I didn’t pay attention. This thing LEAKS! ALOT!! It is not easy to clean as the water and /or coffee get trapped between the plastic and the glass
    After the 3rd use, it cracked! From top to bottom. I contacted coffeemakers.us.com for a return and was told I’d be refunded with no need to return the item. Lol. I think they do this because they know it’s going to end up in the trash. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10 or $15 and get one that works and doesn’t leak!

    The glass cracked the first time I ran it through a dishwasher. I’ve had several glass presses and this is the first one that broke in the washer so I’m not sure what’s different about this one. It also has a weirdly shaped spout causing it to drip and spill unless you put the spout directly on the rim of whatever you’re pouring into.

Advert showed 2 micro meshes but came with only one. Filters don’t seem to sit square and tight on bottom, they appear somewhat tilted. Not sure if this is by design for some reason, or not.
