   I stole my husband’s small pampered chef cold brew coffee maker for myself, but I was having to make it too often. So I bought this. It been working great, until last night when my husband discovered my cold brew is not only stronger, but tastes better than his coffee pot brewed coffee. I think we’re going to need another one.

   This is super easy to use. Drop the filter in top of the jar. Add your desired amount of grounds and add cold water over top. Put the lid on and refrigerate 12-24 hours (24+ hours is my personal preference). Pull out the filter, replace your lid and you’re ready to go. I have found that it is a little difficult to open the jar when it’s full and been in the fridge. I try to be conscious of how tight I tighten the lid so I can get the filter out. The jar and lid do not leak. And once I get the filter out and the lid is on tighter I am able to carry the jar by the handle on the lid.

   It’s ridiculous! This cold brew maker and pitcher is so nice!

   It makes about 6 cups of cold brew, and if you make sure to follow the instructions to get the best results, you wind up with an amazingly rich and strong cold brew coffee!

   I make a coarse ground of Death Wish Coffee, fill the coffee cylinder, add cold water while smushing and stirring the coffee bean mush (make sure to get it nice and saturated so you get all those grinded beans!)

   Then set in the refrigerator for 12+ hours (emphasis on the plus if you like your cold brew nice and strong) and it’s ready to serve! And since it’s so strong you can dilute it more with your favorite syrups and creamers and still taste the coffee, so the 6 cups go a long way!

   I am so glad I finally switched to glass and this cold brewer specifically! The strainer is a fine metal instead of the plastic of some other kinds so the coffee filters better. Also the top is as wide as the bottle with rubber sealers on the side so your grinds doesn’t get into the bottle when you over fill. Since the strainer is not connected to the lid it is very easy to remove after brewing (you have to remove it before pouring a glass!) and then to clean out afterwards. For those used to the plastic cold brew containers where the filter is hard to hold and then remove, you won’t have the issue any longer. Also a really big plus is since it is glass it won’t get the coffee stain as the plastic ones do and the opening is wide enough to put your hand in or a good scrubber. There is only one down side, but it’s minor. The handle needs to be a bit stronger. When you lift the filled bottle the handle bends, but otherwise I absolutely love this cold brew container!!!

   This cold brew maker is a must have for anyone wanting to consistantly drink cold brew. The set up is so easy, all you do is load the steel basket with grounds and fill the jar with water. Grounds never leak out of the basket and are really easy to discard after using. The jar is high quality and can easily be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. The lid is a little bulky but is useful for pouring directly into another bottle or container. The taste of the coldbrew from this maker is better than any store bought option. For the price, this cold brew maker is a steal.

   I love the big size of this cold brew maker. The inside filter is made of fine mesh stainless steel and doesnt result in any grinds in the coffee. Although the mesh is fine you can easily clean out the grinds with a brush. I also like that its dishwasher safe.

   I like the removable strainer that allows the coffee without the grounds being mixed in the water. I was a little surprised that the pitcher was just a larger mason type jar. It serves the purpose if you plan to do a full container of coffee. If you don’t, a lot of the grounds in the strainer will not actually brew since the jar needs to be full in order to reap the benefit of the contents of the entire strainer. The screw top and handle are okay and it doesn’t seem to leak but I honestly do not keep my coffee in it, as I transfer the brew into a different container to store it. It is a simple set up and serves it’s purpose but I feel like the price is a little much given that the only thing that was different from anything I could find at home was the strainer .

I was able to watch a tutorial by “ Just A Dad “ on you tube and was able to learn proper way to brew and length of time needed to steep coffee . Aside from not having instructions ..     I was very happy with this product. It wasn’t that expensive and works very well. It is a simple design and it allows great cold brew. I enjoy using Death Wish coffee with it.
