I love 90% of this coffee maker. I have two issues. The coffee pot is not a true 10 cup capacity compared to other brands. The 40 minute hot plate is not long enough and you cannot reset the hot plate for an extra 40 minutes.

This is NOT a plastic free coffee maker. The inside cone where the hot water sits in the coffee grounds is made of black plastic.

There is a learning curve … the switch from a drip Cuisinart (two machines over 10+ years) to this Aarke has been a challenge … but we’re doing ok after a week. The coffee tastes very good!
I still don’t know what ‘1×4’ filter means, but I (now) know I have to cut about a half-inch from the top of a #4 filter. Oh, if you’re going to put ground cinnamon in with the grounds. don’t! Shake some into the carafe before starting the brew cycle. If you’re going to add cocoa to the grounds. put the teaspoonful on the edge of the grounds closest to the water tank. A better English translation would have given me more confidence.
Parts very well made … the flexible parts (seals) do an excellent job. The light in the water tank is such a neat idea!!
