   I have been searching for a perfect coffee maker for a quite awhile now… I read multiple reviews and decided to buy this unit….Maybe I should’ve done more research… This unit was a huge let down wit major design flaws…. Pro: Delivery.. coffeemakers.us.com delivered this product as they promised.. Cons: Where do I start? You have to leave this coffee machine on at all time. “internal heat chamber” is a joke. You have to keep water in the chamber at all time or this machine will not work properly. Personally, I do not trust the design and I do not think water will be fresh without filter system..Strike one. You have to perform a stupid machine initiation… It’s easy but def unsual step for a machine that nearly cost $100…. Lastly, it didn’t brew $100 machine worth cup of joe. I tried to like it but the water stream or they called “shower” was wayy too strong and the outcome was extremely disappointing.

   The white Bunn Velocity Coffee Maker was an excellent choice for my kitchen. My parents had a Bunn that lasted 18 years. I love that this brewer was available in white, which is my color of choice for small kitchen appliances. This coffee maker brews coffee in record time due to the fact that it has a hot water reservoir which always keeps the water hot and ready. It is perfectly safe to leave the reservoir on. I only turn mine off if we are out of town for several days or longer. My parents left theirs on 24/7 for 18 years with no issues. If you’ve never used a Bunn it is imperative that you read the instructions! You must do the filter & grounds first, then raise the water reservoir lid, pour the water in, place the carafe on the warming plate, then close the lid and turn on the warming plate. If you pour the water in and close the lid before your grounds and filter are in place the brewing process will begin and you will have a mess everywhere. The water you pour in is for your NEXT batch of coffee. The water in the reservoir that is already hot is what will be your current batch. We do have hard water where I live so I flush out the reservoir with water and white vinegar about once a month to remove mineral deposits. Bunn is my brand of choice for a quick, hot, strong cup of coffee.

   Very disappointed. No matter how many grounds I pack in this thing it makes weak coffee. I followed the instruction exactly on setup. It makes cold coffee. 162 degrees is not hot enough to brew coffee.

    I’m a coffee snob, but I have to say this coffee machine blew me away, it keeps 10 cups hot at all times which is so nice since I’m a busy mom always on the go. No matter how long I leave the pot on it never burns the coffee, one of my top favorite kitchen finds.

    I have had this coffee machine for about three years now. I am in the market to buy a new and different brand coffee maker. Before I found out the problem with this coffee maker, the 30 days had passed, so that is why I kept it. The problem is that, because the water is preheated, it comes out of tank and goes through the coffee grind in less than a minute, this short time does not let the coffee to brew well like it happens with other machines that water comes out of thank in a slower rate. Besides that the water temperature for a good coffee is suppose to be between 190 to 210 Fahrenheit this machine produces water which is about 185 degree Fahrenheit. In the other machines, the first cup of coffee that goes to the pot is very light, but the following cups are dark, so when your coffee pot is all filled up, the result is a good pot of coffee. With this coffee maker, all the water goes through the coffee grinds very fast, so if you look all the coffee that comes out of spout is very light and weak and watery, you end up with a very weak pot of coffee. In the three years that I used this coffee machine, I poured half of the water for coffee first and then waited for five minutes and pour the other half of the water into the tank !!! That five minutes made the coffee in the basket soak a little bit, and when I pour the rest of the water the result is a stronger. This way I was able to get a dissent cup of coffee ! But the coffee pot broke yesterday and instead of buying a new one I will buy a new coffee maker! Finally ! PS: One reason that I kept this machine for this long (beside the fact that I had paid about 100 dollars for it), was because I could get quick hot water out of it to make tea or to add to instant soups ! It was better if it was called quick hot water maker (but not too hot ) !

    After my keurig quit on me after 2 years, I bought the instant pot solo, which also died literally within a week. Back to the coffee drawing board! This pot is expensive for not being programmable etc but it’s worth it. The pour over method is very simple and easy to get used to. The materials are great quality and very sturdy. This machine does not have any thin cheap plastic or wobbly pieces. It’s also cool to look at! Sort of a retro vibe while modern at the same time. If loving a coffee maker is wrong I don’t want to be right.I use a slightly heaping 1/2 cup for a full pot and the coffee is perfect. The non drip spout I was skeptical about but it actually does work and makes a difference in the ease of use. The perfect coffee maker!

    Love, love, love this coffee maker!! Water boils at a lower temperature at high altitude, so I have struggled to make a full-bodied cup for many years. This machine makes a fabulous cup of of coffee!!! At 3 minutes for a full pot of piping hot coffee, you can’t go wrong!!

    I decided to buy this coffee maker because when I did my search not many drip makers are made in the USA. That was important to me since this company in in Iowa. I know this brand since I have seen it in restaurants for years. Now, When you buy it and I do recommend it please do not be me..either read the directions or watch the video. This is not like any coffee maker I have ever had. You put a pot of water in before you start that stays in the well. This is not a coffee maker with a programed time. It is basic but it truly brews a wonderful cup of coffee. The first week I had issues because I did not understand the concept. I was going to send it back..but I was going to figure it out since I did not want to buy something from China..Glad I did because I love it and recommend it. You also have to start it at least 10 minutes before you put your pot of water in..I also keep the water lid up for 5 minutes after I pour the water since it will not drip until the lid is down…that really put the steam in the grounds..
