   UPDATE: This is a little embarrassing. I wrote a review raving about this coffeemaker and especially the color saying how much I loved it — but it’s the color that prompted me to return my kitchen to the way it was before I bought it: white (see photo). I found that the strength of the teal color distracted me even though it picked up the same color used in other places in my kitchen. So, now I’m packaging the coffeemaker to donate it to Goodwill. Why am I still giving this 5 stars? Because the coffeemaker deserves the praise I gave it just a few days ago. If your kitchen can be improved by a very strong color, go for it. Original review: I had a Keurig in this same shade of teal and loved it, but had to return it because I ended up being allergic to it (long story having to do with K cups and foil lids releasing chemicals when the hot water hits them), so I searched coffeemakers.us.com for a coffee maker that would bring teal back into my kitchen. The coffee maker arrived today and right away I ran two pots of water through it as directed in the instructions. After the first potful I lifted the lid and discovered that steam causes hot water to form on the underside of the lid. I got burned (no big deal,, but not something I want to happen again). The water runs down from the lid and now I know to just let it run and not reach for the filter till it has stopped. The coffee pot is very easy to use, and also lightweight. It’s almost like a toy. But it makes good coffee. I can’t use the reusable filter because I don’t have a disposal and a plumber warned me not to dump coffee grounds down the sink. I bought #2 cone filters to use instead and they work great. In fact the filter was better than the paper filters I’d been using in a Mr. Coffee machine. By that, I mean the coffee was a little less bitter (I like some bitterness from my Folger’s Colombian coffee, but reducing it a bit tastes good). The cone filter fit perfectly and was easy to remove and dump. I’m not sure what the cone filter is made of. It doesn’t feel like paper. Hard to describe so I won’t even try. Because the coffee maker is not fancy and has just an on/off button you can use it with one of coffeemakers.us.com’s smart plugs that lets you turn it on and off via your voice. I like that because as soon as I wake up, I tell Alexa to turn on the coffee and by the time I make it to the kitchen, the coffee is already made. I did that for years when I was using my Mr. Coffee (the model with just a on/off switch). I’ll probably buy another of these coffee makers just so I’ll have one on hand to replace the one I got today if it ever stops working. I hate it when I find something I love and then when I need a new one, I find out it’s no longer available. Ditto for the matching toaster which I also received today. I worried the colors would be slightly different because of how the photos looked online, but I worried for nothing because they’re perfect twins. The company also offers several other small appliances in the teal color.

   I loved this little coffee maker. It was perfect. When I tried to buy a replacement carafe due to a crack in the glass, I called Holstein’s. A very nice customer service person took my information and I was told I would be sent a whole new replacement as they don’t replace just the carafe. A couple of weeks went by with no carafe delivery so I called the company back. Then I was told they don’t sell to the public. I would have to send the original upc code, and I don’t have that anymore. Needless to say, I am buying a whole new coffee maker when all I wanted to do was buy the carafe. The company must have some problems, as I was told two different policies from two different people. Good product, but maybe not so much the company that stands behind it. Upon buying a second Holstein coffee pot, this time thru the company itself, they shipped it in the box, no other box around it, and it was punctured. There was not any stabilizing material to secure it in the box to ensure its safe delivery. So disappointed in this company.

   Works just fine. Small, with a very slim profile, so it can fit into a small space. Takes very slightly longer to make one small pot of coffee than my old one did, but that’s about my only issue. It kind of looks like a flimsy toy, but it does its job. I prefer to use paper filters, just because it’s easier to clean up, so I’ll have to buy cone filters rather than the flat bottom ones I was using before. After pouring the water in and adding the coffee, you need to close the lid completely before putting the pot back on the hot plate. Otherwise, the top of the pot will push against the bottom of the… whatever that thing is called… which will push the basket up, which will keep the lid from closing completely. It took me a minute to figure that out, and I thought that it was broken at first. It wasn’t. I just had to figure out how to do it. another reviewer said that the coffee keeps running out even after you remove the pot, but he must have had a broken one because mine is not doing that. Once you remove the pot, the coffee stops running out of the… thing. Whatever it’s called. For the money, it’s a good deal.

It works really well and it’s the perfect size considering I’m the only one that drinks coffee in my house. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the carafe does leak when I pour water into the back. My first one didn’t do that so I think I just got dud this time! Still love it though!

   Works like most traditional coffee makers, easy to clean the scoop provided is small unless you like doing lots of scoops before your coffee I just use a different scoop.    First I received different item than the one pictured. The one pictured was solid red. The one I received was red with stainless in front. Not sure if that’s a newer model or not. I really like the solid red better. So I may not keep it. Seems to work ok but when the coffee comes out some of it flows into the holes on the lid and not directly in pot. So still undecided if I will keep or not. Curious if others have the same issue, and wondering how many received the one with stainless trim instead of solid color.

    Like -Compact -Color -Coffee flavor I would describe the color as more of a green blue. It definitely looks like a dark shade of teal. This is perfectly sized, as I usually am making 2-3 cups of coffee for myself per day. I remember buying premium ground coffee thinking the coffee itself was bad, without realizing how much my previous auto drip coffee maker was influencing the flavor of the coffee for the worse. With this model, the coffee flavor is as it should be. Incredibly better! Dislike -Tiny crevices to clean -Condensation -Side Design Because of how the interior of this auto drip coffee maker is constructed, it is possible for ground coffee to end up in the water tank, or in tiny spaces immediately around the coffee filter base. It’s super small, which makes it hard to clean in those crevices. Of course, it’s not safe to submerged the coffee maker to really get in there. The crevices are so narrow most sponges are too big to wipe coffee grounds away. Each time I open the coffee maker to throw out the coffee grounds, I noticed there’s an abundance of condensation. The condensation doesn’t go away. In my previous auto drip coffee model, condensation never was an issue.

    This coffee maker works well enough for my needs. It’s nothing fancy. It’s simple , compact and it will get you nice , fresh cup of coffee. I was looking for a small coffee maker because of limited counter space and the fact that I don’t need to make large quantities of coffee. This is perfect for a 2 person household. Keep in mind that the coffee basket is micro too so traditional coffee filters won’t fit . They’re too big . The basket comes with a reusable filter . Coffee tastes good to me.     My kitchen color pallet is red, so I only looked for a red coffee pot. This does seem a bit flimsy and light. But after using it, it’s just fine. In fact, it makes my coffee hotter & faster than my old 5-cup Kenmore machine, in just under 5 minutes. I am used to having to turn off the burner after brewing. The only problem is that the light is not on the front, but on the side, as is the water measurement panel. I think some people put it sideways. I just use the coffee pot to measure the right amount of water & don’t need to look at the panel. This machine is fairly long in depth, but narrow. I like that it allows me to put something next to it. I give it a “five” because it’s a great little machine for the price, and is in my color.

    This coffee pot is just the cutest thing. The size and light weight are perfect for me. I love that it includes a reusable filter and a cute little matching yellow scoop for coffee grounds. It is lacking some features that other coffee pots commonly have—timed brew, clock, strength, etc—but since it’s only $25, I think it’s worth every penny. When my sister saw that I ordered it she agreed it’s adorable and is probably going to order one, too.

    I wanted a small, bright red coffee maker that would make one or two mugs of coffee and that is what this does. It takes 7-8 minutes to brew a 5-cup pot. The coffee is hot and tastes good. I use the small-sized, disposable paper filters because that makes it easier to get coffee grinds out of reusable filter. Yes, as noted by other reviewers, you do have to push the filter up slightly in order to slide the pot onto the burner. You also have to press firmly to snap the top lid closed. I think these are minor concessions for a compact and inexpensive coffee maker. I can live with that. I do hold the entire unit over the sink when I pour in fresh water from the carafe. Sometimes water runs down the side of the carafe while I am pouring it into the coffee maker reservoir; this may be “operator error” on my part, but if I hold it over the sink, it makes less of a mess when any water is spilled. I’ve used it for about a week, so I cannot yet judge its long-term durability, but I am happy with my purchase.

    I had a keurig for years and one day it just decided to stop making coffee so I ordered this little coffee maker. It’s so aesthetically pleasing and small for better space for all my teas and things (kuerig took up like 1/3 of that counter top), not to mention it’s almost the same color as my cabinets and at the price I can buy one for my gaming room too. Only thing that you have to do is watch it while it brews because it only has two settings, “ON” and “OFF”, so don’t burn your house down! I always watch my coffee brew anyway because I have to stare it down in anticipation of awakeness.     I’ve had this coffee maker for six years and it’s been perfect. I’ve never needed to replace the carafe or the filter, and I’ve only ever used the reusable filter it came with. It’s relatively easy to wash, it’s light and I’ve traveled with it a couple times. It definitely seems like experiences have varied, but I’ve even left mine on accidentally until the coffee evaporated and it didn’t break. Some people have mentioned the lid is hard to close. It is designed so that you need to close the lid before putting the carafe underneath. This isn’t intuitive, but it works – the carafe pushes up on the dripper, and this prevents it from continuing to pour out if you remove the carafe partway through brewing to pour coffee, but it also means you have to close the top until it snaps, then put the carafe underneath.

    Two kinds of leaks. The pot doesn’t reach all the way to the button that releases the coffee from the basket so it leaked all over the first day. I have to put something under the pot so it’s able to receive the coffee. And when you pour it Leaks all over the place because the poor bat is too big. Cheaply made going back.

    I purchased the digital black version and couldn’t be happier! Purchased 2 units; one for home one for my work van. I like the the removable filter lightweight design. Walmart Mainstay 5-Cup is an excellent glass caraffe replacement if you break yours. Actually has wider curve lip for pouring issues with one supplied with coffee unit.     I wanted a lighter, more minimalist look in my kitchen, and I purchased this coffee pot in yellow. A nice change from the huge, cumbersome 12 cup coffee maker that was here and has since been stored away for when company comes. This 5-cup pot is great, and the coffee good. I was skeptical when I saw the universal filter, but tried it this morning and I was not disappointed. I do use my own coffee scoop, which holds more than the scoop included with the pot, and I tend to use heaping scoops. Very pleased with my purchase and liked the variety of color choices.

    Certainly is a cute little coffeemaker. I’d call it a mini coffeemaker but it can make 2 big mugs of coffee and 5 small size cups (each ~6 to 7 oz.). I put 2 1/2 cups of water in the carafe which made one good size mug of coffee. I thought by the time the coffee came out some of the water would have evaporated but apparently I was wrong. It still gave me the 2 1/2 measurement in my mug which is a good thing. Product came in new working condition. Great for 1-2 people household and for those with small to tiny kitchens. I didn’t expect it to be so cute and nice for such a cheap price. I mean of course it’s not anywhere top of the line, you get what you pay for so for $19-$21 it is a great little coffeemaker and the flavor of my strong coffee is robust, just the way it should be. I use my own paper filters (#2 filters fit perfectly) since it’s a hassle having to clean the permanent filter that comes with it after each use. I highly recommend, you really can’t go wrong with putting down $20 for this coffeemaker. And if you don’t like it at least you didn’t spend a lot of money.

    Superlight, wierdly light, in fact. I got this for only one reason, I wanted a new coffeemaker in THIS color which is a truly beautiful teal hue. It matches my decor perfectly. I’m single, so this is small, but the perfect size for me. It’s not easy to close, the lid is wonky and you have to really push to get it snapped down before you start brewing. The on/off switch is easy. Really I got it for the color and the price, under $15. I’m so pleased with the color, I tolerate the top panel lid. The two inserts, one is to hold the actual filter, must be put just so, in place exactly, or it will not close.
