Works well takes longer to heat than expected around an hour+ with all the stock oil burner but if use a 3 wick candle will make hot beverage in 15-20 min and less carbon buildup on bottom of glass.

This thing is the absolute best coffee maker ever!! It may keep your attention while brewing but damn it’s so worth it. As far as I am concerned it’s the only way to brew a great cup of coffee

used about six times. noticed while washing, the bottom glass chamber was cracked on bottom. presumably from the heat of the provided alcohol lamp. i was very careful to use as directed and never abuse it. and yet here we are.
