   I’m very happy with this pot! It isn’t made of yucky aluminum like most are. Your espresso doesn’t have that aluminum taste. If you’re tasting aluminum, it’s getting into your system and that’s not good. Highly recommend this stainless steel pot!

   I think the problem with manufacturing Italian style coffee makers in China is that the Chinese do not know how to use these pots. This pot holds 14 ounces of water – at the proper brew line. That is 7 2 ounce cups not 9. If you fill it all the way to the rim, to the threading, you can get 18 ounces in it. But you won’t be able to make coffee. It brews as well as most. If you are like me, too poor for a Bialetti, get this pot. I love to brew Lavazza “Gran Selezione” in these pots (I also have a 6 ounce pot for just me) and sip from my 3 ounce Homer Laughin demitasse cups. That’s why I really wanted an 18 ounce pot. 14 ounces is NOT what I paid for.

   After using my second pot just like this it blew up. I was in such shock I couldn’t even take a picture all I could think of is how am I going to have coffee now? I am grateful it didn’t become a flying missile because with a force of that explosion it could have broken bones. Here is some of the aftermath most of it’s been cleaned up already.

   You buy cheap, you get cheap.
   Not stainless steel, flimsy top.
   It works, but I wish I had spent more and got a better unit.
   Further Note:
   Blew out bottom and would not sit level Then it developed a hole in the bottom in less than 6 months. Not worth the money.
