   It’s so nice to have a french press for when you want an extra flavorful cup of coffee, and this one makes a great cup. It’s made of quality material, with thick glass and a sturdy metal frame. The filters are of great quality and the whole thing is easy to take apart, clean, and put back together. It is on the smaller side, but I think it’s perfect for two people.

   I used it about 20 times and the wire spring thing that keeps the rubber pushed to the side just popped off. Then I used it a few more times and it just got worse to the point I can’t use it anymore. It’s a great product for 20 uses, after that it’s trash. I really wanted something to last longer. I’ll look for another one, maybe I’ll have better luck.

   Update: Customer service contacted me, told me there is a two year warranty, and is sending a replacement. They also asked about the broken link. They were attentive, prompt, and kind. Thumbs up here. 🙂 I was very happy with it, up until it started leaking. Now it’s cracked open completely. Support website wouldn’t load for me despite multiple tries. I haven’t tried calling, so that’s on me.

   As a French Press, this unit does the job and for a great price! However, compared to the Bodum presses I have and have owned, this unit just feels cheap. The first thing I noticed, is that the two filters have no eyelets in the center and they are very flimsy. This allows grinds to slip through. The second thing I noticed is that even after rinsing, there is a haze that remains on the inside of the carafe. If I run it through the dishwasher, there is no filmy haze. I did not notice this at all with the Bodum, where I could rinse the carafe and go. Lastly, the top and plastic spout are very narrow and don’t seal off the top of the carafe. The last photo shows the filter of the Bodum unit. It is better constructed and has an eyelet for stability. All this said, for the price, it is worth it. For quality? I would look elsewhere.

I grind fresh coffee beans each night, brew them all night in the French press, and have flavorful coffee each morning.    This was a great buy, just a few things to note- The top part is plastic and doesnt always rotate properly so make sure the seal is tight before compression. Quality of the glass is top notch, and it can be removed from the base for cleaning. Its not too heavy and makes just enough for a couple of (big) cups! Had about 6 months now and going strong. Totally worth it!

    I used it to make loose leaf tea. Lots of leaves escape around the plunger when you push it down. I can’t imagine it would do better with even coarse ground coffee. The glass carafe is also stuck inside the metal and plastic stand, so you cannot remove it to wash separately. It’s especially frustrating because the carafe in mine is slightly out of line with the handle, so it will forever be crooked. I got it to replace one that had broken and it’s not nearly as nice. It looks good and is sturdy, but I’m disappointed with the leaves escaping around the plunger/filter.     We switched over to Bayka French Press from Keurig. I absolutely love my new Bayka French press coffee maker! It’s sleek, easy to use, and makes a rich, flavorful brew every time. The fine mesh filter ensures a smooth, grit-free cup. Cleaning was a breeze, as I would just put it in the dishwasher. Mine is about 6 months old but I started noticing the top rim is chipping away at multiple places. I would give it a 5 Star but did not last more that 6 months.

    After realizing how unsanitary our coffee maker was we decided to purchase this french press. First, I would like to say that this is so easy to take everything apart and get clean. Next, the coffee tastes so much richer and robust. It is by far one of my favorite purchases. I was skeptical when I saw it was one of the lower priced French press. It does take a few more steps to make the coffee now instead of popping a pod in and pressing a button. However, I can definitely say it is Worth it.

My only complaint is that I am unable to unscrew the filter off to clean more efficiently. I do carefully put a butter knife in between to push the coffee grounds out and rinse.     Just great, does what the expensive ones do at much less cost.. Glass beaker is removeable on this one , can clean well between metal and glass.
    We had a top brand name French press but the glass broke while cleaning and the replacement glass was more than this whole press.

    This was my first attempt at a French press. I like the coffee a lot. The process is very simple & I liked this model for the look & the price. I’m sure to be careful handling it because it’s glass. I can’t explain the crack that I discovered today! I’ve only used it 8-10 times. I’m very disappointed with finding the crack today. I haven’t contacted the manufacturer yet, but I do plan to do so. It seems that the glass carafe isn’t thick enough to handle 200 degrees Fahrenheit water, but that’s the recommended temperature for making coffee in a French press. It did make great coffee, functioned well & it was easy to clean…but that doesn’t matter if it cracks in under 60 days.

    Update to initial review: The company contacted me and let me know the carafe is under warranty and has offered to rectify the situation. I’m very pleased with the company! We only hand wash and rinse out to clean. No accidental banging and the carafe has cracked after only a few weeks. I’m hoping I can replace just the carafe as the exterior is very pretty. My last one lasted over 20 years!!! But it was made here in the US.

    Love this French press! It’s perfect for my camper. It’s a great size, and makes a delicious carafe of coffee. It’s beautiful finish fits in perfectly with my decor. It allows me to adjust the strength of every pot. Steep longer for a stronger cup, or steep less time for a weaker flavor. I will have a hot cup of coffee in the morning, then store in the refrigerator for an iced cup that afternoon. It’s the perfect mix of form and function at a reasonable price!

    The good: It works. That’s the main thing for me. Even though the plunger was installed poorly, the filter stays level and doesn’t let grounds through. If you use normal coffee grounds, the action is easy and smooth. The bad: As you can see from the pictures, the plunger was installed crooked and the letters on the sides are flaking off even before the first use. It also would have been nice if the glass container could be removed from the housing so it could be placed in the dishwasher but this isn’t very important as it is still easy to clean. Overall, it works as a French press but I wouldn’t buy it again.

    Our old French press ended up meeting the floor and shattering… So I got this one as a replacement. I’m guessing I should have bought a more expensive one. I’m less than impressed with this one. It is very very cheaply made. The lid does not stay tight and wiggles a lot. Coffee pours out of all sides not just the side it’s supposed to. One of my biggest complaints though is that the inside of the lid is not long enough to cover the pour spout opening. Therefore, it lets air in and cools the coffee off much faster than it should! Overall, I feel like three stars might be generous.
